Medical syringe with passive needle protection
A syringe with passive needle protection for administering a medicament dose to a patient, comprising a hollow body forming the syringe housing and containing the medicament active substance, at the distal end of which a hollow needle provided for injection of the active substance is mounted in a bearing sleeve, and in which a displaceable plunger provided at the end with a receiving hole for the hollow needle is arranged, for the most complete possible delivery of medicament while avoiding undelivered medicament residues. For this purpose, the piston is designed in several parts; in addition to a needle holder having a retaining clip for the hollow needle, it comprises a piston jacket which is shaped such that, when the needle holder is inserted, it leaves free inflow channels into the enclosed end of the hollow needle for the active substance on both sides of the retaining clip.
Syringe with plunger reaction pressure reduction structure
A syringe with plunger reaction pressure reduction structure is proposed. The syringe includes: a barrel including a finger grip at a rear end thereof and a Luer-lock connector in which a thread portion is formed on an inner surface outside a tapered tube of a front discharge end thereof; a plunger rod configured to be inserted in an inside of the barrel and including a push end at a rear end thereof; a plunger coupled to a front end of the plunger rod; and a needle hub configured to be screwed with the Luer-lock connector and including an injection needle mounted to a front end thereof. The syringe is configured to have a three-step structure at the plunger in which intervals between steps are gradually shortened, so that the reaction pressure applied to the plunger is distributed and the injection is easily performed.
Angled syringe patch injector
A syringe cartridge including a reservoir part and an extension extending from the reservoir part. The extension defining a fluid path and including a molding and a first needle extending from the molding. The extension turning to a finite angle with respect to an axis of the reservoir part and at least part of the first needle is likewise at the finite angle. At least some of the part of the first needle at the finite angle being enclosed within the molding of the fluid path. A drug delivery device may be used with the cartridge and includes a skin-contacting surface. In use the longitudinal axis of the interior of the cartridge may be disposed substantially parallel to the skin-contacting surface.
MEDICAL SYRINGE WITH NEEDLE GUARD
A syringe with needle protection with a plunger displaceable by means of an actuating plunger in the interior of a syringe body is designed for particularly effective delivery of the active substance with the lowest possible residual portion in the syringe that is not delivered. For this purpose, the plunger has a needle holder for receiving the syringe needle, the needle bearing of which is arranged on a retaining bracket, leaving a number of lateral inflow surfaces free.
Spacer Assembly for Drug Delivery Device
A drive assembly for a drug delivery system including a plunger member configured to engage and move a stopper within a container, a biasing member configured to move the plunger member, and an adjustable spacer assembly positioned between the plunger member and the stopper. The spacer assembly includes a spacer element attached to the stopper and at least one shim or includes a spacer element and a holder to which the spacer element is attached. The holder may be attached to the stopper and the spacer element may be attached to the holder by a threaded engagement. Also, a drug delivery system for injecting a medicament, the system including a container configured to receive a medicament, the container comprising a stopper configured to move within the container and a closure, a drive assembly as described above, and a needle actuator assembly.
Medication injection device
An injection device is provided herein comprising a container body for holding medication content having a distal end and a proximal end, the container body providing an outward flange at the distal end and a ledge at the proximal end; a piston placed at the proximal end of the container body for sealing and displacing medication content; a push rod placed inside the container body for moving the piston distally; and a connector providing an orifice for medication content delivery, placed at said distal end of said container body. The orifice in the connector provides medication content injection fluid pathway. With modification of the fundamental structure, a number of innovative device designs are created.
DUAL CHAMBER DRUG RESERVOIR AND STOPPER THEREFOR
The present invention concerns an elastomeric stopper (18, 28, 38) for a drug reservoir, comprising: a stopper body (18.1, 28.1, 38.1) extending along a reference axis between a leading end surface (18.2, 28.2, 38.2) and a trailing end surface (18.3, 28.3, 38.3) and having a generally cylindrical sidewall with an outer body diameter, a circumferential convex rib (18.6, 28.6, 38.6) extending radially outwardly from the sidewall, a non-convex trim edge portion (18.7, 28.7, 38.7) at the trailing end surface (18.3, 28.3, 38.3), the non-convex trim edge portion (18.7, 28.7, 38.7) having an outer trim edge diameter which is greater than the outer body diameter and being axially spaced apart from the circumferential convex rib (18.6, 28.6, 38.6), providing an annular recess (18.9, 28.9, 38.9) therebetween. The elastomeric stopper (18, 28, 38) further comprises a channel structure (18.10, 28.10, 38.10) enabling fluid flow from the trailing end surface (18.3, 28.3, 38.3) to the annular recess (18.9, 28.9, 38.9) through the non-convex trim edge portion (18.7, 28.7, 38.7).
NEEDLELESS INJECTOR
A needleless injector includes a housing part that includes an accommodating space and defines a flow path for ejection, a driving part that imparts ejection energy, and a plunger that defines the accommodating space and is disposed to move in the housing part by the ejection energy and pressurize a substance intended for injection. The plunger includes a weakened part that causes a part of the plunger to deform such that, when force applied to the plunger exceeds predefined force while the driving part is imparting the ejection energy with the accommodating space accommodating the substance intended for injection, a distal end of the plunger does not reach an inner wall surface at a deepest part of the housing part or force received by the inner wall surface falls within a predetermined range until the distal end of the plunger reaches the inner wall surface.
