Electronic plunger assembly
A plunger assembly is configured for slidable advancement through a reservoir of a vessel containing a material to be administered. The plunger assembly includes a plunger rod having a distal end configured to be inserted into the reservoir. An elastomeric plunger extending from the distal end of the plunger rod is configured to sealingly engage a sidewall of the reservoir. At least one printed circuit board is embedded within the plunger, and at least one electronic component is electrically connected with the at least one printed circuit board.
DRUG DELIVERY DEVICE AND METHOD OF OPERATION
A computerized electro-mechanical drug delivery device configured to deliver at least one dose of two or more medicaments. The device comprises a control unit. An electro-mechanical drive unit is operably coupled to the control unit and a primary reservoir for a first medicament and a secondary reservoir for a fluid agent, e.g. a second medicament. An operator interface is in communication with the control unit. A single dispense assembly is configured for fluid communication with the primary and the secondary reservoir. Activation of the operator panel sets a first dose from the primary reservoir and based on the first dose and a therapeutic dose profile, the control unit is configured to determine a dose or range of the fluid agent. Alternatively, the control unit determines or calculates a dose or range of a third medicament. Further, a dispense interface for use with a drug delivery device is disclosed.
Injection device
The invention relates to a needle delivery device comprising a device body; one or more skin pinching members attached to the device body, the skin pinching members being moveable to pinch a longitudinal fold of skin of a patient. The device also comprises a drive mechanism configured to drive a needle out of the device body and along a needle path into the longitudinal fold of skin pinched between the pinching members, and subsequently withdraw the needle, the needle path extending substantially parallel to the surface of the patient.
Compact injector drive
In one embodiment, an injector includes a sleeve, a drive assembly, and a drive assembly housing. The sleeve is configured to receive a reservoir having a plunger therein. The drive assembly is configured to pressurize the reservoir and includes a tip, an actuator, and mechanical segments. The tip is configured to be secured to the plunger. The actuator is configured to supply a motive force to the tip for moving it between retracted and extended positions. The mechanical segments are configured to transmit motive force from the actuator to the tip. The drive assembly housing has a housing length in a direction parallel to a central longitudinal axis of the tip. The reservoir has a reservoir length L. A package length is defined by the housing length and the reservoir length L. The package length is less than 2L.
MEDICAMENT DELIVERY DEVICE
The present disclosure relates to a medicament delivery device comprising a housing, a reservoir for medicament disposed in the housing and a dispensing member. The dispensing member is moveable relative to the housing from a first position to a second position to dispense medicament from the reservoir when the reservoir contains medicament. The medicament delivery device further comprises first and second biasing members. The first biasing member is configured to urge the dispensing member from the first position to an intermediate position. The second biasing member is configured to urge the dispensing member from the intermediate position to the second position.
DRIVE RIBBON FOR MOVING PISTON WITHIN CONTAINER
A medical delivery device for advancing a piston in a medicament container to expel a medicament. A support structure supports the container and a drive assembly that advances the piston. The drive assembly includes a drive ribbon that can be retracted and extended. The retracted ribbon defines a spiral and the extended ribbon defines a helix. The drive ribbon is incrementally moveable between the retracted spiral configuration and extended helical configuration. A mechanical drive rotates the drive ribbon to selectively extend and retract the ribbon. A thrust member having a helical ramp engages a proximal edge of the drive ribbon where it transitions between a spiral and helix. A bearing member at the distal end of the drive ribbon exerts an axial force on the piston when the ribbon is extended.
Syringe assembly with inverse delivery
A reduced profile syringe assembly is provided that includes an overall profile that is substantially similar to a profile of a syringe barrel. The syringe assembly includes a plunger rod that is significantly disposed within the syringe barrel when filled for use, with the plunger rod adapted to be retracted from the syringe barrel during dispensing of contents of the syringe barrel.
DRIVE DEVICE INCLUDING FLEXIBLE PLUNGER SHAFT
Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to techniques, processes, devices or systems for pump devices. In one approach, a wearable drug delivery device may include a reservoir configured to store a fluid, the reservoir including a housing defining an interior chamber. The wearable drug delivery device may further include a drive device for driving the fluid from the reservoir, the drive device including a plunger head within the interior chamber of the housing, and a plunger shaft extending from the plunger head. The plunger shaft may include a first component adjacent a second component, wherein during movement of the plunger head in a first direction the first and second components engage one another to form a rigid portion of the plunger shaft, and wherein during movement of the plunger head in a second direction, opposite the first direction, the first and second components are separated from one another.
MEDICAMENT DELIVERY DEVICE
A medicament delivery device (100) for the delivery of medicament from a container (12) through a cannula (16). The device comprises a chassis (300), a carriage (200), and an insertion spring (70) for biasing the carriage (200) for movement in an insertion direction with respect to the chassis (300) from a starting position in which the cannula (16) is shrouded to an insertion position in which the cannula (16) is extended. A drive mechanism (400) is provided for driving the container's stopper (22) to expel medicament. The drive mechanism (400) is carried by the carriage (200) and comprises a movable drive member (404), a drive means (40) for applying a driving force to the drive member (404), and force transmission means (406) for transmitting the driving force to the stopper (22). The drive means (40) is arranged around or alongside at least part of the force transmission means (406).
Medicament delivery devices
