A multiple carrier injection system includes an adapter, having at least one arm, and a pen needle assembly. The pen needle assembly includes a hub retaining a needle and a bullet having a cover to seal the bullet, where the bullet encloses the hub in a first position. The arm engages the adapter to the hub, and the arm causes the hub to rotate within the bullet to move the hub into a second position.

DRUG INJECTION CONTROL DEVICE HAVING STRUCTURE IN WHICH ROD LOCK SCREW-COUPLED TO PISTON ROD CAN MAKE LINEAR MOTION UNDER RESTRICTED ROTATION WITHIN ROD HOLDER

A drug injection control device has a structure in which a rod lock screw-coupled to a piston rod can make a linear motion under restricted rotation within a rod holder with the rotation of a rod guide and the sub-linear motion of the piston rod. When the injection amount of drug is preset through an injection amount setting module to make a rotational motion with a dose dial in a housing to set the amount of drug to be injected by storing the twisting moment in a torsion spring, in actuating a drug delivery module switchably coupled to the injection amount setting module, the rod lock can make a linear motion by the sliding motion of a lock protrusion through a lock guide formed through the rod holder along the lengthwise direction on the rotation of the rod guide and the sub-linear motion of the piston rod.

A medicine administration system includes a medicine administration device, a medicine cartridge receivable with the medicine administration device, and a contrast background. The medicine cartridge is configured to retain medicine therein. The medicine administration device is configured to dispense at least some of the medicine through a dispensing end of the medicine cartridge. The contrast background is positioned relative to the medicine cartridge to permit visualization of the contrast background through the medicine within the medicine cartridge. The contrast background is configured to facilitate image processing of a captured image of the contrast background through the medicine within the medicine cartridge to determine a condition of the medicine within the medicine cartridge.

Drug solution administration device and method for controlling drug solution administration device
11484656 · 2022-11-01 · ·

A drug solution administration device includes a drug solution reservoir, a drive unit, a rotation detection unit, and a control unit. The control unit counts the number of rotations of the drive unit from when a rotation sensor value reaches a blockage start threshold value until the rotation sensor value reaches a blockage detection threshold value. Further, the control unit determines that a blockage of a flow path has occurred when the rotation sensor value reaches the blockage detection threshold value, and rotates the drive unit in a direction opposite to a direction in which the drug solution is administered based on the counted number of rotations.

MEDICAL DELIVERY DEVICE
20230086293 · 2023-03-23 ·

A medical delivery device (3) comprises a rod element having a stem with a longitudinal axis and a first thread arrangement, a dosage member (34) comprising a second thread arrangement and a chamber body, a dial unit (31), and a coupling structure coupling the dial unit (31) to the dosage member (34). The stem of the rod element extends into the chamber body of the dosage member (34). In a dosing status of the medical delivery device (3), the first thread arrangement of the rod element engages the second thread arrangement of the dosage member (34). Further, in the dosing status, the rod element is movable along its longitudinal axis relative to the dosage member (34) by the first thread arrangement of the rod element and the second thread arrangement of the dosage member (34) travelling along each other such that a volume of a dosage chamber in the interior of the chamber body of the dosage member (34) is varied. Still further, in the dosing status rotation of the dial unit (31) applies a torsional force to the dosage member (34) via the coupling structure, which torsional force rotates the dosage member (34) such that the second thread arrangement of the dosage member (34) and the first thread arrangement of the stem of the rod element travel along each other. The coupling structure has an overload protection mechanism (313, 314, 322, 324) configured to prevent that the torsional force applied by the dial unit (31) to the dosage member (34) exceeds a predefined threshold force.

MEDICAMENT DELIVERY DEVICE WITH A LOCKING MECHANISM
20230082704 · 2023-03-16 ·

A dose delivery mechanism and a medicament delivery device are presented having a housing holding a medicament container and a power unit, where the power unit has a plunger rod, a drive spring, operably arranged to act on the plunger rod and on the medicament container. A locking ring is operatively engaged with an actuator having a holding ledge that can releasably hold the plunger rod with the drive spring in a tensioned state, and with an actuator sleeve to form a lock that prevents axially movement of the actuator after dose delivery. The locking ring also cooperates with the actuator to generate an end-of-dose delivery signal. An activator is directly engaged with the actuator to provide a well-defined activation point.

Precision low-dose,low-waste syringes and ergonomic attachments therefor

Methods for using precision low-dose, low-waste syringe configurations, which may have a reduced diameter lumen for dispensing 0.01 ml increments of contents. Methods may employ ergonomic attachments that improve the control and precision of the syringe. An attachment main body includes a gripping surface to permit a user to engage the attachment and move the attachment main body, and thus the syringe plunger relative to the syringe barrel using sliding movement. Methods may employ an assist feature on the attachment, which may be a traction wheel. Methods for using syringes with contents of higher viscosity may employ a pair of toothed pinion gears on a wheel and which cooperate with respective toothed racks formed on or fastened to the syringe body.

Multi-component safety needle cover

A safety cover configured to be coupled to an injection device and to provide a protective enclosure for a needle of the injection device, the safety cover including an outer cover member; an inner cover member coupled to the outer cover member in a concentric arrangement so that the outer cover member encloses at least a portion of the inner cover member, wherein the outer cover member is configured to move relative to the inner cover member from an unlocked position, in which the needle of the injection device is accessible for use, to a locked position, in which the outer cover member and the inner cover member are fixed at one another and the needle of the injection device is inaccessible, wherein the outer cover member includes a body that includes a proximal end, a distal end, and a cavity defined within the body.
