Drug delivery device
A drug delivery device with a housing configured to connect to a dispensing unit including a compartment containing a fluid, a piston rod configured to move in a proximal direction for ejecting the fluid, and a dosing mechanism including an actuation member to be actuated by a user. The device includes a conversion mechanism configured to convert a movement of the actuation member to a movement of the piston rod. The conversion mechanism includes a dose selector member, which is rotationally fixed to the housing and axially movable with respect to the housing, and a dosing member, which is rotationally movable with respect to the dose selector member. The drug delivery device includes a friction reduction mechanism provided between the dose selector member and the dosing member to reduce friction between the dose selector member and the dosing member.
Auto-injector systems and method for delivering cyst medication on demand
An auto-injector device including a syringe, a needle arranged in the vicinity of a first end of the syringe, and a plunger arranged within the syringe. A volume within the syringe between the plunger the needle accommodates medicine, such that movement of the plunger toward the needle dispenses medicine through the needle. A selection assembly configurable by a user to adjust an amount of medicine dispensed by the auto-injector device and depth to which the medicine is delivered. Also, a method for treating a skin lesion or skin disorder utilizing the auto-injector and a kit for patient administered treatment.
DOSING SYRINGE
A dosing syringe comprising a barrel and a piston is provided. The piston is slidably receivable in the barrel and can move within the barrel from a maximum inserted position to a withdrawn position to draw a dose of product into the barrel. The syringe comprises means for pre-setting the withdrawn position, whereby to define the maximum dose which can be drawn into the barrel.
Medical dispensing device
In some examples, a medical dispensing device includes a housing and a trigger. A first engager of the device is configured to move axially as the trigger pivots. As the first engager moves, it engages a rod. A maximum proximal position of the rod is defined by a stop. A spring presses the first engager into the trigger such that either the trigger or the first engager rests against a stop limiting rotation of the trigger. A second engager moves axially as the trigger pivots. At the actuated position the second engager, defined by a stop, the second engager limits proximal movement of the rod. An assembly transfers movement of the trigger to the second engager after the trigger has pivoted a threshold amount. A member of the assembly distally moves the second engager. Until it is at the actuated position, the second engager enables the rod to proximally move.
Systems, kits and methods for loading and delivering a small volume dose from a syringe
A kit is disclosed for accurately loading a small volume dose of a medication within a syringe and for delivering the small volume dose of the medication at a treatment site. The kit generally includes a loading and delivery system in accordance herewith, a syringe, and a medication. The loading and delivery system includes a syringe delivery ring and a syringe loading guide, which may be used for example, to administer a small volume dose of a medication at the end of an ocular surgery.
COMPACT KIT FOR INJECTING LIQUID MEDICATION
An example system for administrating a liquid medication includes a syringe assembly including a barrel portion containing liquid medication, a plunger portion sealingly engaged with the barrel portion to form a chamber for expelling the liquid medication from the barrel portion, and a needle. A ring is positioned about the plunger portion of the syringe assembly, wherein the ring limits movement of the plunger portion in an axial direction as the plunger portion is moved in the axial direction to administer a first dose of the liquid medication. The ring is configured to be modified to allow the plunger to move further in the axial direction to administer a second dose of the liquid medication.
DRUG DELIVERY DEVICE
A kit includes a drug delivery device and a dispensing unit. The drug delivery device includes a housing, a resetting element and a piston rod and the dispensing unit includes a cartridge holder. The cartridge holder is to be mounted to the housing and to receive a cartridge filled with a drug. The piston rod is to move in a proximal direction out of the housing for ejecting the drug and the resetting element is configured to rotate relative to the housing when no dispensing unit is attached to the housing and to thereby move the piston rod back into the housing. The dispensing unit is configured to press axially against the resetting element upon mounting to the housing to move the resetting element in the distal direction into the housing, and thereby rotationally lock the resetting element with respect to the housing.
DRUG DELIVERY DEVICE WITH BALANCING WEIGHT
A drug delivery device includes an elongate, generally cylindrical, housing extending along a longitudinal axis between a distal end and a proximal end, and a balancing weight located within the housing. A center of mass of the drug delivery device is located radially offset from the longitudinal axis in a radial direction towards the balancing weight.
DRUG DELIVERY DEVICE WITH KEYED CONNECTORS
A set of drug delivery devices comprising a first drug delivery device and a second drug delivery device. The first drug delivery device and the second drug delivery device each include a first set of mutual members that are identical in both the first drug delivery device and the second drug delivery device, and the first drug delivery device and the second drug delivery device each comprise a second set of distinguishing members that differ among the first and second drug delivery device. The first drug delivery device includes a first connector for attaching a first dispensing unit to the first drug delivery device and the second drug delivery device includes second connector for attaching a connectors means differ from each other so that a second dispensing unit is not attachable to the first connector and a first dispensing unit is not attachable to the second connector.
