An applicator has at least one barrel and a piston moveable within the at least one barrel between a variable first position and a second position. Movement of the piston towards the first position can draw a first fluid into the barrel, and movement of the piston towards the second position can force the first fluid out of the barrel. A fluid inlet valve allows the fluid to flow into the barrel at least under action of the piston, and a fluid outlet valve allows the fluid to flow out of the barrel. The piston is biased toward the first position and a dosage control part. An actuator is operable to move the piston to dispense the first fluid from the applicator.

Pen injector apparatus

An injector apparatus is disclosed for use with a container of therapeutic material to deliver a metered dose of therapeutic material therefrom. The apparatus includes a first body portion arranged to be fixed relative to the container and defining a first conduit portion for the delivery of the therapeutic material from the container and a second body slidably connected to the first body and defining a second conduit portion, in fluid communication with the first conduit portion. Relative sliding motion between the first body and second body results in the displacement of one of the conduit portions into the other conduit portion such that the combined volume of the conduit may be decreased.

Devices for delivery of individual units of a medicament and methods for their use are provided. Such a delivery device comprises an exostructure permanently attached to a syringe comprising a barrel and a plunger with one or more ratchet surfaces, a cam mechanism to advance the plunger a plurality of set distances in a first direction to deliver a single individual unit of the medicament per each set distance, and a locking pawl to prevent the plunger from being retracted in a second direction opposite the first by interfacing with the ratchet surfaces. The locking pawl also produces tactile feedback, audible feedback, or both when the plunger is depressed to advance the plunger the set distance. Each of the individual units comprise a measured volume of the medicament, and the plunger can repeatedly be depressed and repeatedly engage with the locking pawl to deliver repeated measured volumes of the medicament.

A plunger-like mass transporting device and method for controllable transportation of a selected dosage of a solid or liquid composition having a body with a rigid enclosure, and a head, where the head is configured to attach to the body, the head having a stem and a housing. Further, the stem having a first end, the first end having an attachment means to attach to the rigid enclosure containing the body; and a second end, the second end having an attachment means to attach to the housing, and an applicator; wherein a flexible means is disposed on the stem, for providing an up position and a down position during an axial movement of the stem back and forth through the housing, wherein the housing contains the solid or liquid composition.

Injection device

A handheld injection device includes a housing and a dose indicator positioned within and axially constrained to the housing and rotatable with respect to the housing during dose setting and during dose dispensing. The dose indicator includes a flexible clicker arm which, only during dispense, is displaced in a first radial direction and, when the device reaches its minimum dose position, in a second, opposite radial direction.

INJECTION DEVICE HAVING A THREAD HAVING A VARIABLE PITCH
20180169346 · 2018-06-21 ·

The invention relates to an autoinjector for dispensing a liquid product, in particular a highly viscous medication, comprising: a housing, a product container, which is arranged in the housing and has a slidable piston, wherein the piston can be slid in a dispensing direction in order to dispense the product contained in the product container, a forward drive element, which acts on the piston as the product is being dispensed, a first spring, which is preloaded such that the product can be dispensed from the product container by the sliding of the forward drive element and the piston, and a rotation element, which is operatively coupled to the forward drive element, wherein the first spring acts on the rotation element in such a way that the rotation element is set into rotation in order to dispense the product, wherein the rotation element or the forward drive element has a thread having a variable pitch.
