AN AUTO-INJECTOR DEVICE FOR DELIVERING MEDICAMENTS

An auto-injector device for delivering medicaments is disclosed. The auto-injector device includes a syringe assembly having a needle adapted to expel medicaments from the syringe assembly and a barrel adapted to hold the medicaments. The syringe assembly includes a plunger positioned coaxially with respect to the barrel and adapted to reciprocate within the barrel to expel the medicaments from the barrel. Further, the syringe assembly includes a locking member adapted to be engaged with the plunger to hold he plunger in a position with respect to the barrel. The position of the plunger with respect to the barrel is adapted to be adjusted to vary a volume of medicaments to be expelled from the barrel. The position of the plunger is adjusted by engaging the locking member with the plunger at one of a plurality of positions along a length of the plunger.

An injection device comprises a housing, a cartridge defining a chamber configured to hold a medicament, a plunger disposed within the chamber, and a plunger actuation assembly configured to drive the plunger. The injection device also comprises a power source configured to drive the plunger actuation assembly such that the plunger forces the medicament from the chamber a first disengagement element translationally fixed relative to the plunger actuation assembly, and a second disengagement element coupled to the plunger actuation assembly and to the power source, where the second disengagement element is translationally fixed relative to the plunger actuation assembly. The first disengagement element is configured to translationally decouple from the plunger actuation assembly when the power source drives the plunger actuation assembly a first distance, and translationally decouple the second disengagement element from the plunger actuation assembly when the power source drives the plunger actuation assembly a second distance.

Syringe Carrier

Described is a syringe carrier comprising a body adapted to receive a barrel of a syringe. The body includes two sections having distal ends with shoulder sections. The shoulder sections are adapted to engage a circumferential gap between the barrel of the syringe and a needle shield covering a needle of the syringe.

Needle magnetizing arrangement

A needle magnetizing arrangement (1) comprising a controller (4) adapted to generate a first magnetic field (F) for magnetizing a needle (2), and a magnetic field sensor (5) adapted to generate a signal based on a second magnetic field (F.sub.R) of the needle (2).

MODULAR FLUID PATH ASSEMBLIES FOR DRUG DELIVERY DEVICES

Modular fluid path assemblies are provided that include conduit, coupling, and needle portions of a fluid path fluidly coupled to an outlet of a container. The modular fluid path assemblies further include a needle shield having a tip of the needle embedded therein. So configured, in embodiments, the modular fluid path assemblies can be sterilized, a medicament can be filled in the container, and a stopper inserted in the container so that the pre-sterilized and pre-filled modular fluid path assemblies can have a closed container integrity (CCI) seal.

Safety Device for Preventing Needle Stick Injury with a Needle of a Medical Injection Device
20220305214 · 2022-09-29 ·

A safety device for preventing needle stick injury comprises a ring configured to be attached to the distal tip of a medical injection device, a first hinge portion, and a protective shield. The protective shield comprises a second hinge portion pivotally coupled to the first hinge portion and is configured to adopt successively a storage position covering the needle tip, a retracted position uncovering the needle tip and a safety position covering the needle tip. In the safety position, the protective shield is locked on the ring by engagement of a locking member with a lug on the ring. The locking member is configured to engage the lug when the protective shield transitions from the retracted position to the safety position, passing from one side of the lug to the other, and remaining engaged with the lug for maintaining the protective shield in the safety position.

SAFETY CONVENIENCE KITS FOR MEDICAL SYRINGES

A convenience kit which is usable in an ambulatory environment for bagged products which have exposed and potentially contaminated sharps as an end product. Preferred use focus of the kit is for bagged syringes. The kit provides accessible sections for accessing the unused bagged parts and for storing excess parts once a bag is opened. A removable protective cover is provided for the unused product storage. A single step used parts disposal system comprises an elongated orifice and a pair of opposing chutes which are constructed to provide a one-way path into a containment compartment which is expanded in volume as new products are removed. As the kit may be used in an ambulatory environment permissive to rotational and vibratory forces, the upper chute is pivotally affixed to rotate and close the elongated orifice by the same forces which urge products within the compartment toward the orifice.

Body arrangement for a drug delivery device

The present disclosure relates to a body arrangement for a drug delivery device, comprising at least one deployable body part arranged to be moved from a compact state into a deployed state, wherein the body part in the deployed state provides an enlarged grip area compared to the compact state.

Retractable needle adapters and safety syringes

Barrel adapters for safety syringes include a barrel and a plunger assembly adapted to move within the barrel, a barrel tip adapted to be sealingly engaged with a distal end of the barrel and a needle retraction mechanism barrel having a needle subassembly and an actuator subassembly. The needle subassembly includes a needle, and a needle-over-mold (NOM) through which the needle extends. The needle subassembly is disposed at least partially within the barrel tip, and adapted to move from an injection position in which the needle extends from a distal end of the barrel tip to a retracted position in which the needle is disposed within at least one of the barrel tip or the barrel. The actuator subassembly includes a needle seal, a push-bar, and an actuator surface. The needle retraction mechanism barrel includes a biasing member and an actuable locking arrangement. A syringe includes such barrel adapters.
