Delivery tool of a viscoelastic syringe assembly
A delivery tool connectable with a syringe can be used to deliver a viscoelastic solution. The tool includes a first segment, a second segment and an inner lumen defined by the first and second segments. A distal portion extends from the second segment in a curved manner.
APPARATUS FOR MOUNTING A PEN NEEDLE ASSEMBLY
A storage device (30) for storing a pen needle assembly (10) includes a housing (30) having first wells (44) with a dimension for receiving the pen needle assembly and second wells (46) for receiving an inner shield (24) of the pen needle assembly. The second wells (46) have a diameter less than a diameter of the first wells (44). An ejector (40) in the housing (34) can be actuated to eject the used needle hub (16) and outer covers (22) from the first well (44) and the inner shield (24) from the second well (46) for disposal. A method of coupling a pen needle delivery device to a needle hub positions a needle hub assembly (18) in the first well (44) and inserts the coupling end of the delivery device (10) into the first well (44) and is coupled to the needle hub. The needle hub is pulled from the outer cover (22). The inner shield (24) is inserted into the second well (46) to remove the inner shield from the needle hub.
CONNECTION STRUCTURE AND LIQUID MEDICINE ADMINISTRATION TOOL
A connection structure of a medical container includes a liquid medicine containing part that contains a liquid medicine and a liquid medicine discharge part that discharges the liquid medicine includes: a sealing member including a mounting part to be mounted to cover the outside of the liquid medicine discharge part, an opening formed in the mounting part in an extending direction of the liquid medicine discharge part, and an elastic sealing body disposed in a space between the opening and the liquid medicine discharge part and sealing the liquid medicine discharge part; and a connector including a connection needle that punctures the elastic sealing body, and a needle hub that holds the connection needle, in which the connector has a push-in structure that compresses the elastic sealing body when the connection needle punctures the elastic sealing body.
Medical syringe with passive needle protection
A syringe with passive needle protection for administering a medicament dose to a patient, comprising a hollow body forming the syringe housing and containing the medicament active substance, at the distal end of which a hollow needle provided for injection of the active substance is mounted in a bearing sleeve, and in which a displaceable plunger provided at the end with a receiving hole for the hollow needle is arranged, for the most complete possible delivery of medicament while avoiding undelivered medicament residues. For this purpose, the piston is designed in several parts; in addition to a needle holder having a retaining clip for the hollow needle, it comprises a piston jacket which is shaped such that, when the needle holder is inserted, it leaves free inflow channels into the enclosed end of the hollow needle for the active substance on both sides of the retaining clip.
Gripper apparatus for cannulas
The invention relates to a gripper apparatus for a cannulation robot and for gripping a cannula having a cannula holder. The gripper apparatus comprises two gripper elements and a moving device. The two gripper elements can be moved relative to each other and work in concert to grip the cannula holder. The moving device is designed to move the two gripper elements relative to each other and at least one of the gripper elements relative to the cannula holder. The gripper apparatus can thereby be brought into a gripping state, in which at least one of the gripper elements is engaged with the cannula holder, by means of the moving device.
SUPPLY DEVICE FOR CANNULAS, METHOD FOR SUPPLYING CANNULAS, COMPUTER PROGRAM, AND COMPUTER-READABLE MEDIUM
The invention relates to improvements in the technical field of supplying cannulas (2). For this purpose, there is proposed, inter alia, a supply device (1), the removal carriage (4) of which includes at least one cannula receptacle (6) for accommodating a cannula (2), said cannula receptacle (6) being connectable or connected to a vacuum source (7) in order for a cannula (2) to be fixed in the cannula receptacle (6).
Safety device for preventing needle stick injury with a needle of a medical device and medical device
A safety device for preventing needlestick injury with a needle, including a protective cap and a shield capable of pivoting from a storage position where it is interlocked with the protective cap, a retracted position where it gives access to the needle and a safety position where it covers the needle, wherein a cam surface of the shield and an engaging peg of the protective cap are arranged so that, when the safety device is mounted around the tip of a medical device, removing the protective cap from the tip by a distal movement displaces the shield from the storage position to the retracted position. A medical device including a tip provided with a needle including a needle point, wherein the medical device further includes a safety device.
PEN NEEDLE HUB INJECTION DEPTH OPTIMIZATION
A needle hub (10) for a pen needle is provided with an enlarged surface for contact with the skin of a patient. The enlarged surface is provided with a surface having a dimension and shape to enable a needle or cannula to penetrate the skin to a desired depth and permit substantially the entire exposed length of the needle or cannula to penetrate the skin to the desired depth. The surface of the needle hub can be formed by an inner cone shaped member (26) forming a first contact surface with a surface area of about 1-5 mm.sup.2 and an outer ring (28) at a peripheral edge forming a second contact surface with a combined surface area of about 15 to 50 mm.sup.2.
SAFETY SYRINGE CAPABLE OF BEING USED FOR NEEDLE-FREE DOSING INJECTION
A safety syringe includes a needle seat, an adapter disposed on the needle seat, and an injection barrel penetrated into the needle seat and the adapter. When an outer sleeve is located at a first position, a first annular rib of the outer sleeve is engaged with an elastic wing of the adapter, such that the needle seat protrudes from the front end of the outer sleeve. A push rod penetrated into the injection barrel is used to take in and expel liquid medicine. When the outer sleeve is located at a second position, the outer sleeve accommodates the needle seat and the adapter inside and pushes against the elastic wind of the adapter through a second annular rib, such that the outer sleeve is detachable from the injection barrel together with the needle seat and the adapter, The injection barrel can be used for needle-free dosing injection.
SOFT TIP CANNULA WITH RETRACTABLE TIP PROTECTOR
Injector devices and methods for using them to deliver medicament into a patient's body, e.g., sub-retinally within an eye, are provided. The injector includes an injector cannula having a soft injector tip. A retractable tip protector tube is slidably disposed on the flow cannula between an extended position in which the tip protector tube covers the entire injector tip, and a retracted position in which the tip protector tube is retracted proximally thereby exposing at least part of the injector tip. Accordingly, the tip protector tube protects the injector tip from being damaged while advancing the injector tip to a target injection site.
