Dry powder inhaler

A dry powder inhaler (10) having a chamber (26) divided into first and second blister compartments (28, 30) for storing unused and used portions (34, 36) of a blister strip (12) is provided. A moveable dividing wall (32) separates the first and second blister compartments. One or more arcuate supporting surfaces (38, 40, 42) are disposed in either the first and/or the second blister compartments and these surfaces support the used or unused blister strip during successive actuations of the inhaler. Use of the arcuate supporting surfaces facilities compact coils of unused and used portions of blister strip, thereby reducing the size of the chamber required for the inhaler.

Nasal spray assembly
10940274 · 2021-03-09 · ·

A nasal spray assembly for administering a medicament to the nose of a user includes a nasal device and a container that has a reservoir containing the medicament. The reservoir is sealed by a movable piston. The nasal device includes a body, a cap that defines a socket into which the body can be inserted, an outlet, and a piercing element. The piercing element includes a piercer inlet and extends into the socket from a piercer stop within the socket. The nasal spray assembly is arranged such that, as the body is moved into the socket along a first axis, the piercing element pierces and passes through the piston such that the piercer inlet lies within the reservoir, contact between the piercer stop and piston forces the piston into the container, reducing the reservoir volume and forcing medicament from the reservoir through the conduit and out of the outlet.

An apparatus for delivering a therapeutic agent may be associated with a cap for a bottle that contains a prescription for a drug to which the therapeutic agent corresponds. When the prescription bottle holds an opioid, the therapeutic agent may be a substance that counteracts the effects of the opioid. The apparatus may include a nozzle that facilitates nasal administration of the therapeutic agent. The apparatus may be capable of attaching to a cap for a prescription bottle, or the apparatus may have a configuration that enables it to serve as the cap for the prescription bottle.

Detachable Container for Aerosol Delivery Having Pierceable Membrane

A cartridge coupled or coupleable with a control body to form an aerosol delivery device is provided that includes a container of aerosol precursor composition and an atomizer enclosing a reservoir configured to receive and carry aerosol precursor composition. The container and the atomizer are removably coupleable with one another, and include respectively a septum and a connector including a cannula that are engaged when the container and the atomizer are coupled to enable passage of aerosol precursor composition from the container to the reservoir. The atomizer further includes a heating element controllable to activate and vaporize components of the aerosol precursor composition in the reservoir.

AEROSOL-GENERATING SYSTEM AND METHOD OF DISPENSING LIQUID AEROSOL-FORMING SUBSTRATE WITH PUMPED AIR

An aerosol-generating system may include a liquid storage portion, a vaporizer, and a pump. The liquid storage portion may be configured to store a liquid aerosol-forming substrate. The vaporizer may be configured to volatilize the liquid aerosol-forming substrate. The pump may be configured to pump air into the liquid storage portion so as to push out a volume of the liquid aerosol-forming substrate from the liquid storage portion and to supply the volume of the liquid aerosol-forming substrate to the vaporizer. A method for generating an aerosol may be performed with the system.

Nebulizer

A nebulizer is proposed which comprises a blocking device for blocking opening of the nebulizer in a tensioned state. The nebulizer comprises preferably an indicator device for indicating a tensioned state of the nebulizer. The nebulizer comprises further a depressible actuator member at a housing part which is detachable from the nebulizer.

Aerosol generating device with multiple heaters

An electrically heated aerosol-generating device includes a storage portion configured to contain an aerosol-forming substrate and having a fluid permeable internal surface surrounding an open-ended passage extending through the cartridge. The device includes a housing having a cavity for receiving the cartridge, and a heater assembly positioned in the cavity. The heater assembly includes an elongate support member connected to the housing and arranged to extend into the open-ended passage of a cartridge inserted in the cavity. The heater assembly also includes a plurality of electric heaters fixed to and spaced along the length of the elongate support member.

NASAL DRUG DELIVERY DEVICES

Embodiments described herein describe a drug delivery device. The device includes a medicament container, a compressed gas container, an outlet, and a double-sided needle located within the housing. When a user presses an actuation button, the compressed air container is moved towards the medicament container and towards a proximal end of the double-sided needle. The double-sided needle pierces both the compressed gas container and the medicament container, opening fluid flow communication between the two containers, and causing medicament to be expelled out of the medicament container.

Nasal medication or drug delivery devices and methods for delivering adjustable or variable metered volumetric doses of medication or drugs to a nasal passageway of a user or patient. Relative movement between portions of a reservoir establish a set volume of medication for delivery. The delivery device may include a nosepiece for fitting into the nostril of the user or patient, a medication or drug reservoir or dosing chamber, and an external reservoir adapter for providing the medication from an external reservoir.

Non-burning-type flavor inhaler and computer-readable medium

A non-burning type flavor inhaler comprises: a first unit; a second unit including an aerosol source or a flavor source; and a control unit. The control unit integrates a first cumulative amount of electric power which is a cumulative value of the amount of electric power supplied to the heat source in the one-time puff action series, and the control unit notifies an end of the one-time puff action series when the first cumulative amount of electric power reaches the required amount of electric power.
