A device for delivering a compound to the olfactory region of the nasal cavity includes an actuator body and a tip that removably couples to the actuator body. The actuator body comprises a propellant channel in fluid communication with a propellant canister. The tip comprises an exit channel, an inlet interface, one or more grooves, and an outlet orifice. The exit channel extends between a proximal end and a distal end of the tip. The inlet interface is positioned about a distal end of the exit channel, and the inlet interface couples to a compound container containing the compound. The grooves are positioned about the inlet interface and direct propellant from the propellant channel into the compound container, thereby agitating and entraining the compound in the compound container with the released propellant. The compound and the propellant then travel through the exit channel and out the outlet orifice.

Apparatus for heating aerosol generating material and a cartridge for the apparatus

There is described a cartridge for use with an apparatus for heating aerosol generating material to volatilize at least one component of the aerosol generating material. The cartridge includes a first body defining a first chamber and aerosol generating material is located within the first chamber. The first body includes a first base including a sheet of heat conductive material and has a first outer surface and at least a major portion of the first outer surface is for contacting a first heating surface of a heater of the apparatus for heating the aerosol generating material within the first chamber.

Nicotine powder consumable article

A nicotine powder consumable article includes an elongated consumable body extending between a proximal end and a distal end. A capsule is fixed within the elongated consumable body. The elongated consumable body contacts the capsule. The capsule contains particles comprising nicotine or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof. A first plug of material is disposed within the elongated consumable body and between the capsule and the proximal end. A second plug of air porous material is disposed within the elongated consumable body and between the capsule and the distal end. The second plug of air porous material is not in air-flow communication with the first plug of material.

INTRANASAL DELIVERY OF LEVODOPA POWDER BY PRECISION OLFACTORY DEVICE

Methods are provided for treating OFF episodes in a patient with Parkinson's disease or a Parkinson syndrome, comprising administering to a subject with Parkinson's disease or a Parkinson syndrome experiencing an OFF episode an effective dose of a dry pharmaceutical composition comprising L-DOPA, wherein the dose is administered by an intranasal delivery device that provides, following intranasal administration, (a) a mean peak plasma levodopa concentration (C.sub.max) of at least 200 ng/mL, with (b) a mean time to C.sub.max (T.sub.max) of levodopa of less than or equal to 60 minutes. Dry pharmaceutical compositions of levodopa suitable for intranasal administration and unit dosage forms comprising the dry pharmaceutical compositions are also provided.

A device for dispensing a fluid product, having a body with a dispensing orifice, two removable reservoirs each containing a single dose of fluid product, a dispensing mechanism, and an actuating mechanism. The reservoirs are closed before the dispensing device is actuated. The body has a mechanism for opening each reservoir and adapted to open the reservoirs during actuation of the device. The reservoirs each form a sealed unit which is separate from said body, each reservoir filled with a respective fluid product and hermetically sealed before installed in the body. The body has a receiving mechanism for lateral installation of the reservoirs in the body.

ATOMIZATION DEVICE

An atomization device includes a liquid storing member that stores a liquid therein, a carrier detachably assembled to the liquid storing member, an opener disposed on at least one of the liquid storing member and the carrier, and an atomizing module that is assembled to at least one of the liquid storing member and the carrier. The opener is configured to form an opening on the liquid storing member. The atomization device has a buffering chamber arranged between the atomizing module and the opening of the liquid storing member, and a volume of the buffering chamber is less than a volume of the liquid. The liquid storing member can be pressed to change an inner pressure thereof, such that a part of the liquid is driven to flow from the opening into the buffering chamber for an atomizing process of the atomizing module. The buffering chamber can receive the liquid stored in the liquid storing member over multiple times, such that the atomization device can atomize the liquid over multiple times through the buffering chamber.

Dermal spray apparatus and method

A system and method for dermal spraying includes a portable, hand-held dermal application device with disposable formulation capsules that spray a formulation unto the skin and a data transmission unit operatively connecting the dermal spray device to a mobile device. The mobile device communicates with a remote server and transmits anonymized data about the user's skin conditions and treatment history.
