Neural sleeve for neuromuscular stimulation, sensing and recording
The present disclosure relates to neuromuscular stimulation and sensing cuffs. The neuromuscular stimulation cuff has at least two fingers and a plurality of electrodes disposed on each finger. More generally, the neuromuscular stimulation cuff includes an outer, reusable component and an inner, disposable component. One or more electrodes are housed within the reusable component. The neuromuscular stimulation cuff may be produced by providing an insulating substrate layer, forming a conductive circuit on the substrate layer to form a conductive circuit layer, adhering a cover layer onto the conductive circuit layer to form a flexible circuit, and cutting at least one flexible finger from the flexible circuit. The neuromuscular stimulation cuff employs a flexible multi-electrode design which allows for reanimation of complex muscle movements in a patient, including individual finger movement.
Flexible active species generator and use thereof
The disclosure relates to a flexible active species generator comprising: a first electrode of a conductive metal thin film; a second electrode of a ground electrode; a flexible dielectric layer of an insulator formed between the first electrode and the second electrode; and a plasma resistant functional layer formed between the dielectric layer and the second electrode, wherein the first electrode and the second electrode are electrically connected to an external power supply to generate an atmospheric pressure plasma to generate active species. The flexible active species generator has a plasma resistant function to prevent deformation and decomposition of an insulator caused by the plasma as well as an active species generating function from atmospheric pressure plasma, and has durability and safety, which is thus applicable to articles, foods, garments and human body in various forms.
BAND WITH BUILT-IN STIMULATOR
A system includes a collar that is worn around a neck of the user. A stimulator is coupled to the collar such that the stimulator is positioned adjacent to an airway of the user. The sensor is coupled to the collar and configured to generate data associated with the airway of the user. The memory is coupled to the collar and storing machine-readable instructions. The control system is coupled to the collar and includes one or more processors configured to execute the machine-readable instructions to determine, based at least on an analysis of the generated data, that the user is currently experiencing an apnea event. In response to the determination, the control system causes the stimulator to provide electrical stimulation, at a first intensity level, to one or more muscles of the user that are adjacent to the airway to aid in stopping the apnea event.
Medical device operational modes
An ambulatory medical device configured to analyze heart rates in different operating modes includes a plurality of ECG sensing electrodes, a plurality of therapy electrodes and at least one processor configured to in a default operating mode, perform a default heart rate calculation for determining a heart rate of the patient for use in detecting a cardiac arrhythmia condition of the patient. The at least one processor is configured to change a device operating mode from a default mode based on detecting patient activity to an activity operating mode, and in the activity operating mode, perform a different heart rate calculation from the default heart rate calculation for determining the heart rate for use in detecting the cardiac arrhythmia condition of the patient during the activity operating mode. The at least one processor is configured to deliver the treatment in response to detecting the cardiac arrhythmia condition.
Wearable gaming device and method thereof
A gaming wearable device directed to be worn by a player whilst playing a videogame is provided. The gaming wearable device of the invention hereby disclosed allows the user to feel the sensations currently suffered by a character of a video game, in such a way a deeply immersive gaming experience is provided. The gaming wearable device is a vest or a suit where a series of electrodes have been strategically placed in such a way that every single muscle covered by the suit can be stimulated electrically by means of pulses generated by a control unit. The electrodes are covered with a conductive gel layer allowing a quick and easy fix on the skin of the gamer, providing a higher electrical conductivity as well.
Method for using beauty instrument with mask
A method for using beauty instrument with mask is provided. The method comprises providing a beauty instrument with mask comprising a flexible mask and a controller, applying the flexible mask of on a user's face, and turning on the controller and selecting a function button on the controller, inputting a current to a plurality of functional layers in the flexible mask, and stimulating face skin with the current.
Body physiotherapy machine
A body physiotherapy machine contains a conductive sphere member and a body configured to output electric physiotherapy energy to the conductive sphere member. The conductive sphere member is held by a user to contact his/her discomfort or acupuncture points so as to comfort the user and to enhance metabolism by ways of the electric physiotherapy energy, thus maintaining health easily.
WEARABLE DEVICE FOR DECREASING THE RESPIRATORY EFFORT OF A SLEEPING SUBJECT
The present disclosure is in the field of sleep and respiratory care. In particular, the present disclosure provides means and methods for decreasing the respiratory effort of a sleeping subject. The present disclosure also provides means and methods for treating the snoring of a sleeping subject.
Control of functional electrical stimulation using motor unit action potentials
A therapeutic or diagnostic device comprises a wearable electrodes garment including electrodes disposed to contact skin when the wearable electrodes garment is worn, and an electronic controller operatively connected with the electrodes. The electronic controller is programmed to perform a method including: receiving surface electromyography (EMG) signals via the electrodes and extracting one or more motor unit (MU) action potentials from the surface EMG signals. The method may further include identifying an intended movement based at least on features representing the one or more extracted MU action potentials and delivering functional electrical stimulation (FES) effective to implement the intended movement via the electrodes of the wearable electrodes garment. The method may further include generating a patient performance report based at least on a comparison of features representing the one or more extracted MU action potentials and features representing expected and/or baseline MU action potentials for a known intended movement.
