IONTOPHORESIS-BASED PATCH TYPE MEDICINE ABSORPTION DEVICE
Disclosed is an iontophoresis-based patch type medicine absorption device for allowing a medicine for medical treatment or a functional substance for skin care to be effectively absorbed into a user's skin by causing iontophoresis on the user's skin through a conductive patch. The iontophoresis-based patch type medicine absorption device for allowing the medicine for medical treatment or the functional substance for the skin care to be absorbed into the user's skin by the iontophoresis includes a medicine absorption device body that generates power to cause the iontophoresis. The medicine absorption device body includes a power circuit that is provided in an interior space of a body and that includes a power unit that generates the power for the iontophoresis and one or more electrodes to which the power is applied, and a bridge that is provided so as to be combinable with the body and that receives the power through the one or more electrodes. The bridge includes a bridge body provided so as to be combinable with the body and a plurality of bridge legs arranged along a circumferential direction of the bridge body and formed of a conductive material.
TREATMENT METHOD THAT STRENGTHENS FACIAL EXPRESSION MUSCLES
The present disclosure relates to a treatment method capable of changing an impression with strengthened muscles by stimulating muscles by delivering energy to muscles that determine facial expressions.
DEVICES, SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR TREATING BACK PAIN WITH EMS
Devices, systems, and methods for treating lower back pain (e.g., chronic lower back pain) with electromagnetic stimulation are disclosed. A device for treating lower back pain can have a seat portion, a backrest portion, and an electromagnetic stimulation coil operatively associated with the backrest portion. The electromagnetic stimulation coil can be positioned to apply electromagnetic stimulation to a spine of a patient while the patient is seated on the seat portion.
WEARABLE MEDICAL DEVICE
Wearable devices for providing therapy to a patient may include disposable or reusable treatment pads. The treatment pads may include electrodes and are configured to apply energy to various regions around the head and eyes. The treatment pads may provide therapy when the eyes are open or closed. The wearable device may include a battery and/or control circuitry for issuing therapy pulses through the electrodes.
Detection and Treatment of Obstructive Sleep Apnea
A treatment for obstructive sleep apnea (“OSA”) of a user includes affixing a patch externally on a dermis of the user, the patch including a flexible substrate, an adhesive on a first side adapted to adhere to the dermis of the user, a processor directly coupled to the substrate, and electrodes directly coupled to the substrate. The treatment includes detecting an occurrence of OSA and activating the patch in response to the detecting, the activating including generating an electrical stimuli via the electrodes to activate the genioglossus muscle of the user.
Electrode and connector assemblies for non-invasive transcutaneous electrical stimulation and biological signal sensing
The invention concerns an assembly (100) for delivering electrical currents to and/or sensing electrical signals from a skin portion of an individual. The assembly comprises an electrode (1) having an electrical conductive portion (2) with a surface for entering in contact with a skin portion (200) of the individual and an electrical insulating stratum (3) covering the electrical conductive portion (2). The assembly comprises a conductor assembly (40) having a connector assembly (4) with protuberances (8) for removably retaining the electrode and electrically connecting said electrical conductive portion (2) of the electrode to said monitoring and/or stimulating device. The protuberances have sharpened elements (8) for piercing the insulating stratum (3) and engaging themselves inside the electrical conductive portion (2).
Devices, systems and methods for therapeutic muscle stimulation
Devices, systems and methods are described for providing muscle contraction stimulation therapy to treat myriad diseases, including heart failure, Type 2 diabetes, and peripheral vascular disease using a skin patch or implantable stimulator that includes a multiplicity of electrodes, a processor, a stimulation circuit, one or more sensors and programming for a patient interface unit, wherein the processor is programmed to control selection of a subset of the multiplicity of electrodes and of operation of the stimulation circuit responsive to an indication of an adverse physiologic response. The indication of patient discomfort may be determined by monitoring a physiologic parameter of the subject using the one or more sensors, by direct input from the subject via the patient interface unit programming, or a combination thereof.
