APPARATUS, SYSTEM AND OPERATION METHOD FOR THE TREATMENT OF FEMALE SEXUAL DYSFUNCTION
There is disclosed an apparatus for treating a sexual dysfunctional female patient, comprising an implanted stimulation device adapted to stimulate at least a part of the sexually responsive tissue of the vulva or the wall of the vagina of the patient by movement of said stimulation device and contact between said stimulation device and the sexually responsive tissue or the wall of the vagina. A system and an operation method for the treatment of female sexual dysfunction are also disclosed.
Methods and Devices for Non-Thermal Treatment of Endometriosis
Methods and devices for non-thermal treatment of endometriosis. The non-thermal treatment of endometrial lesions results in electroporation of the endometrial cells, and ultimately necrosis of the lesion. Lesions are identified and electric field parameters determined to substantially remove all of the endometrial cells in the target lesion. Application of the electric field to the lesion creates a treatment zone where the cells necrose, leaving the cellular matrix mostly undisturbed. Devices include a generator capable of applying an electric field to an endometrial lesion through one or more electrodes.
Method and system for adjusting a neurostimulation therapy
The systems and methods described herein generally relate to adjusting a neurostimulation (NS) therapy based on drug pharmacokinetics of a patient. The systems and methods deliver an NS therapy to a portion of electrodes of a lead positioned proximate to neural tissue of interest, which is associated with a target region. The NS therapy is defined by stimulation parameters. The systems and methods determine a trigger event indicative of a drug being administered to a patient. The drug is configured to affect at least one of the neural tissue of interest or the target region. The systems and methods adjust one or more of the stimulation parameters based on the PS profile.
Method for treatment of erectile dysfunction
A method for treatment of erectile dysfunction is described using RF energy with multiple electrodes applied to the treated tissue.
System and Method For Electrical Stimulation of Anorectal Structures To Treat Urinary Dysfunction
A system and method for treating anorectal and/or genitourinary dysfunction includes implanting, in a minimally invasive manner, an electro-medical device for stimulation of two or more anatomical or histological structures of the anorectal region and/or genitourinary region. Electrodes operably connected to the device are positioned proximate the target anatomical or histological structures. The device provides either the same or different stimulation algorithms to each anatomical or histological structure, which may be the same or different. The varied stimulation parameters, such as pulse width, pulse amplitude, and pulse frequency, are defined such that after an application of the electrical pulses, an abdominal leak pressure, an abdominal leak volume, or a urine volume increases or a number of incontinent episodes or a mean incontinence volume per episode decreases relative to said parameters prior to the application of the electrical pulses.
INTRAVAGINAL ELECTRICAL STIMULATION DEVICE
An intravaginal electrical stimulation device includes a vaginal insert and at least one electrically conductive electrode coupled to the vaginal insert. The vaginal insert is configured to be inserted into a vaginal canal of a user. With the vaginal insert inserted into the vaginal canal, at least a portion of the at least one electrically conductive electrode is arranged to contact a vaginal wall of the vaginal canal to electrically stimulate at least one pelvic nerve through the vaginal wall so that discomfort or pain associated with a pelvic condition or a procedure is alleviated.
Method and device for pelvic floor tissue treatment
A method for a genital tissue treatment comprises providing a device including a central control unit, an energy generator and an internal applicator, wherein the internal applicator is detachable and includes at least one ring-shaped circular energy delivery element encircling or around the internal applicator, with the at least one circular energy delivery element, inserting the internal applicator into vagina and into or onto the genital tissue, transferring radiofrequency energy into the genital tissue, heating the genital tissue and, wherein the applicator includes at least one temperature sensor in communication with the central control unit or the energy generator and providing a feedback during treatment, wherein the feedback includes changing output of at least one energy delivery element.
Female insertion system
A female insertion system is provided. The system includes a conformable insert shaped for insertion into one or more structures of a female human that are associated with at least one of reproduction and one or more erogenous zones; one or more sensors, at least one of the sensors included in the insert, and configured to measure and to relay data, wherein the data is acquired on one of a one-time basis and a multiple-time basis included one of a non-continuous period, a continuous period, and an intermittent temporal period; and a processor configured to: control the insert; generate a treatment for one of the structures of the female human; store the data; and based on the data, automatically affect one or more of the structures via the insert.
INTRAVAGINAL DEVICE FOR TREATING PELVIC PAIN
An intravaginal device capable of supplying electrical stimulation is provided. In an example, the intravaginal device may be used to implement the TENS technique by stimulating nerves while positioned within a user's vagina. While positioned within the vagina, the provided medical device may stimulate the hypogastric nerve complex around the uterosacral ligaments. In some cases, the provided medical device may both apply electrical stimulation to treat pain and control bleeding during a menstrual cycle. For example, at least a portion of the provided medical device may include absorbent material, such as a tampon.
