In an aspect of the present disclosure, a system and method for controlling uterine contractions is disclosed including receiving data from at least one sensor by a wireless apparatus inserted into the patient's vagina adjacent the cervix. The data includes an indication that a contraction of the uterus is imminent. The method further includes in response to receiving the data, causing a generator circuit of the wireless apparatus to supply electrical energy to an energy applicator of the wireless apparatus that is configured to apply the supplied electrical energy to the uterus of the patient via the cervix of the patient to control contractions of the patient's uterus.

APPARATUS FOR EFFECTING FEEDBACK OF VAGINAL CAVITY PHYSIOLOGY
A vaginal device is described. A conformable vaginal insert is shaped for insertion into a vaginal cavity of a female human. A contact point is configured to change a shape of the insert. A sensor is configured to measure and to relay characteristics of the vaginal cavity and the surrounding and supportive structures of the vaginal cavity. A processor is configured to control the contact point to adjust the shape of the insert, generate a treatment for the vaginal cavity and the surrounding structures of the vaginal cavity and the supportive structures of the vaginal cavity comprising a vaginal cavity profile generated from the measured characteristics, store the measured characteristics and the vaginal cavity profile, and based on the stored measured characteristics and the stored vaginal cavity profile, automatically modify the shape of the insert by control of the contact point to provide the treatment to the vaginal cavity.
Electrostimulation related devices and methods
There is disclosed a device and method for delivering constant target current to a muscle for electro-stimulation of that muscle. One device is a completely self-contained device with no external means for the adjustment and control of the electro-stimulation delivered to the muscle during treatment. The microprocessor based device monitors indirectly the actual current delivered to the muscle during electro-stimulation via measurement of the return path voltage through the muscle and optionally in addition monitors and adjusts for the internal battery voltage during use of the device in order to deliver a more consistent an accurate and effective target output current to the muscle being stimulated at each and every pulse delivered from the device. The device is pre-programmed with an electro-stimulation treatment cycle and the whole treatment cycle, including the monitoring and adjustment required to achieve this treatment cycle, is automatic within the device.
URINARY INCONTINENCE TREATMENT DEVICE AND METHOD FOR USING THE SAME
An apparatus for the treatment of urinary incontinence includes a probe, processing electronics, and a display. The probe includes a balloon, an electrode, and an internal cavity defined by the balloon. An electrode is coupled to an outer surface of the balloon, and is configured to transmit an electrical pulse to cause a contraction of a muscle in communication with the electrode. The internal cavity does not include a structural support element. The processing electronics are in communication with the electrode and configured to receive a signal indicative of a force of the contraction of the muscle and determine a value of the force of the contraction based on the signal. The display is in communication with the processing electronics and configured to receive the value of the force of the contraction from the processing electronics and present the value of the force of the contraction on the display.

An electrode is coupled to an outer surface of the balloon, and is configured to transmit an electrical pulse to cause a contraction of a muscle in communication with the electrode. A control device is configured to be operable by a user to cause the balloon to selectively move between the inflated state and the deflated state and to cause the electrode to transmit the electrical pulse. The bellows and the electrode are configured to cooperate to maintain the structural integrity of the balloon. The bellows and the electrode are further configured to cooperate to cause the balloon to inflate in a radially non-uniform manner.
