Provided are an electric stimulation simulation method, a server, and a computer program for determining an optimal stimulation position combination. The electric stimulation simulation method for determining an optimal stimulation position combination according to various embodiments of the present invention is executed by a computing device and includes: filtering stimulation positions corresponding to a preset condition among the plurality of stimulation positions according to a preset guide system; and simulating the electric stimulation for the brain of the subject by using remaining stimulation positions except for the filtered stimulation positions among the plurality of stimulation positions.
SYSTEM FOR VARIABLY CONFIGURABLE, ADAPTABLE ELECTRODE ARRAYS AND EFFECTUATING SOFTWARE
Electrical non-invasive brain stimulation (NIBS) delivers weak electrical currents to the brain via electrodes that are affixed to the scalp. NIBS can excite or inhibit the brain in areas that are impacted by that electrical current during and for a short time following stimulation. Electrical NIBS can be used to change brain structure in terms of increasing white matter integrity as measured by diffusion tensor imaging. Together the electrical NIBS can induce changes in brain structure and function. The present methods and devices are adaptable to and configurable for facilitating the enhancement of brain performance, and the treatment of neurological diseases and tissues. The present methods and devices are advantageously designed to utilize modern electrodes deployed with, inter alia, various spatial arrangements, polarities, and current strengths to target brain areas or networks to thereby enhance performance or deliver therapeutic interventions.
NONINVASIVE CRANIAL NERVE THERAPY
The present invention relates to systems for providing noninvasive cranial nerve stimulation and methods for using the same. The present invention administers therapy through electrodes that are noninvasively attached to one or more of a subject’s cranial nerve. The systems can be used to enhancing rehabilitation and recovery by improving neuroplasticity and coupling muscle training with feedback.
Non-Invasive Peripheral Nerve Stimulation for The Enhancement of Behavioral Therapy
Systems and methods for improving behavioral therapies encompassing therapies wherein a perceptual stimulus is administered to a subject or a motor behavior is performed by the subject. Such administration of perceptual stimuli or motor performance is paired with the delivery of vagus nerve stimulation to the subject. The vagus nerve stimulation is timed with the sensory stimulus administration or motor performance in a temporal alignment that maximizes neuroplasticity and performance. Systems for performance of the method and associated software are also disclosed
Differential charge-balancing during high-frequency neural stimulation
Differential charge-balancing can be used in high-frequency neural stimulation. For example, a neural stimulation apparatus can have first and second electrodes configured to be coupled proximate to a nerve fiber to implement a neural stimulation procedure. A neural stimulation circuit can be electrically coupled to the first and second electrodes. The neural stimulation circuit can apply stimulation currents to the nerve fiber through the first and second electrodes during a first stimulation phase of the neural stimulation procedure. The neural stimulation circuit can also apply a modified stimulation current to the nerve fiber through the first electrode during a second stimulation phase of the neural stimulation procedure. The modified stimulation current can be generated based on a difference between (i) a voltage at the first electrode, and (ii) a reference voltage derived from voltages on the first and second electrodes.
CUSTOMIZED TACS (TRANSCRANIAL ALTERNATING CURRENT STIMULATION) APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR STIMULATING A BRAIN WAVE BY ENTRAINING SYNCHRONIZED OSCILLATION BASED ON REAL-TIME EEG SIGNAL MONITORING
An apparatus includes a stimulation part that stimulates a brain of an object; a sensing part that measures a response of the brain to a stimulation; and a control part that determines whether a first response entraining oscillation synchronized in a plurality of brain areas of the object is derived or not, based on a measured brain response. The stimulation part is an electrical stimulation part that transfers a transcranial alternating current stimulation (tACS) and the transcranial alternating current stimulation is a first combined stimulation in which a signal is repeatedly ON/ OFF according to a predetermined first frequency and an ON signal according to the first frequency is applied as a stimulation according to a predetermined second frequency.
Devices for therapeutic nasal neuromodulation and associated methods and systems
A device for therapeutic neuromodulation in a nasal region can include, for example, a shaft and a therapeutic element at a distal portion of the shaft. The shaft can locate the distal portion intraluminally at a target site inferior to a patient's sphenopalatine foramen. The therapeutic element can include an energy delivery element configured to therapeutically modulate postganglionic parasympathetic nerves at microforamina of a palatine bone of the human patient for the treatment of rhinitis or other indications. In other embodiments, the therapeutic element can be configured to therapeutically modulate nerves that innervate the frontal, ethmoidal, sphenoidal, and maxillary sinuses for the treatment of chronic sinusitis.
System and Method for Delivering Tumor Treating Fields (TTFields) and Measuring Impedance
Tumor treating fields (TTFields) can be delivered to a subject's body with improved safety and efficacy by determining the condition of participating electrode elements and/or the subject's skin condition under positioned electrode elements. This may be accomplished by applying an AC signal to pairs or groups of electrode elements and taking corresponding impedance measurements. In some embodiments, the impedance measurements are indicative of electrode element condition and/or skin condition. These determined conditions can be used to adjust or pause TTFields treatment, for example to permit skin recovery or to ensure that participating electrode elements will properly function.
Determining quality of electrode contact with skin surface
A patient monitoring system within an Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT) device includes a patient monitoring channel including a first electrode and a second electrode, with each electrode coupled to a respective lead. The monitoring system also includes an Alternating Current source structured to inject a test current to the first electrode lead or the second electrode lead and a differential amplifier structured to measure differences between signals received from the first electrode lead and the second electrode lead. Related methods include evaluating a quality of an electrode contact with a skin surface by injecting a lead of the electrode and one input of a differential amplifier with a known electrical current, comparing a difference between an electrical signal received from the lead of the injected electrode as well as from a lead of a passive signal electrode, and evaluating the compared difference.
