Device for the treatment of arthritis and arthrosis of the extremities generally shaped as a case, in the form of a glove or a sock, which comprises: an inner layer made of a porous material (14); a second layer in the form of a paraffin-filled bladder (1) that covers the entire inner space; surrounding said inner paraffin layer (1), the following are placed: a Polytetrafluoroethylene splint (2) equipped with means designed to straighten the fingers or toes (wires made of nitinol or a similar material); a very thin layer made of latex or an insulating material (4); and, finally, an outer cover (6); it may further be equipped with wires or coils (5) around each finger or parallel to the palm or the back of the hand. Moreover, it is equipped with a control unit (12) for turning on and for controlling the temperatures and currents to be applied.
Treatment apparatus and method of controlling same
The present invention relates to a treatment apparatus and a method of controlling the same, and provides a treatment apparatus including an insertion unit formed in such a way as to be inserted into a tissue through a tissue surface, a bending sensing unit sensing bending of the insertion unit occurring during insertion, and a controller controlling the insertion operation of the insertion unit based on information sensed by the bending sensing unit, and a method of controlling the same. In accordance with the present invention, there is an advantage in that a treatment effect can be improved because treatment can be performed in the state in which the insertion unit has been inserted into an accurate target location.
Beauty instrument with mask
A beauty instrument with mask includes a flexible mask and a controller. The flexible mask includes a first flexible layer, a second flexible layer, a plurality of functional layers located between the first flexible layer and the second flexible layer, and a plurality of electrodes electrically connected with the plurality of functional layers. The functional layer includes a carbon nanotube layer including a plurality of carbon nanotubes uniformly distributed. The flexible mask is electrically coupled with the controller via the plurality of electrodes.
Systems for improving neurostimulation compliance using a patient interface module
Nerve stimulation systems and methods are disclosed for providing improved compliance of a patient to a pelvic disorder treatment regimen. A patient interface module is connected to a control module for providing compliance information related to compliance criteria for a set of scheduled events. Patient compliance is assessed and notification or treatment events can be scheduled, rescheduled or otherwise adjusted based upon patient compliance or non-compliance according to compliance rules and parameters of a treatment compliance module. Both compliance and non-compliance may lead to adjustment of the treatment regimen, scheduled treatment events, and notifications to the patient or user operating the nerve stimulation system.
ELECTRICAL TRANSTYMPANIC STIMULATOR
An electrical transtympanic simulator for auditory processing evaluation is disclosed. The simulator comprises a processor, a digital-to-analog converter, a voltage-to-current convertor, and one or more electrodes. The digital-to-analog converter in communication with the processor and power source is configured to convert digital signals into analogue voltage signals. The voltage-to-current convertor in communication with the digital-to-analog converter via an amplifier is configured to convert the analogue voltage signals to current signals/pulses that are proportional to the analogue voltage signals. The electrodes in communication with the voltage-to-current convertor, configured to locate in the ear canal and on the skin around the skull of a patient, thereby performing the auditory processing evaluation by applying the current pulses to the ear canal and skull in different waveforms at various frequency ranges with parameters. The protection circuit configured to disconnect the power supply to the electrodes if the current value exceeds a threshold value.
Method and apparatus to provide safety checks for neural stimulation
In electrically stimulating neural tissue it is important to prevent over stimulation and unbalanced stimulation, which would cause damage to the neural tissue, the electrode, or both. It is critical that neural tissue is not subjected to any direct current or alternating current above a safe threshold. Further, it is important to identify defective electrodes, as continued use may result in neural damage and further electrode damage. The present invention presents system and stimulator control mechanisms to prevent damage to neural tissue.
System and Method for Ensuring a Consistent Connection of Electrodes to a Replacement Implantable Medical Device
Implantable medical devices (IMD) such as those used in Deep Brain Stimulation application are commonly replaced when the device's useful life expires. At the time of replacement, the electrodes that were connected to the initial IMD are typically reused with the replacement IMD. It is desirable for the replacement IMD to utilize the stimulation parameters that were being utilized to provide stimulation in the initial IMD, but it is important that the electrodes be connected to the replacement IMD in a similar manner as they were connected to the initial IMD if stimulation parameters are reused. A connected electrode profile that includes measurements of electrical parameters associated with the electrodes can be generated in the initial IMD and the replacement IMD, and the profiles can be compared to determine whether the electrodes are connected in a similar manner in the replacement IMD as they were in the initial IMD.
Electrode Use Indication
An electrode patch for use with an external medical device, the electrode patch comprising: a first surface configured to be attached to a skin of a patient monitored by the external medical device, and an indicating mechanism disposed on the electrode patch and configured to indicate an end of a predetermined lifespan of the electrode patch.
Control system for hand-controlled physiotherapy equipment and electrical stimulation mode
Hand-controlled physiotherapy equipment contains: a first electrode and a second electrode which are connected with living creatures so as to form a closed loop, an electrical stimulation system, a signal receiving unit, and a signal identification unit. The electrical stimulation system includes a sensing unit. The signal receiving unit is connected with the sensing unit in a wired manner or a wireless manner, the signal identification unit is configured to transform loop signals into time series signals, wherein when each of the time series signals has a specific interruption signal and a specific recovery signal, each time series signal triggers a mode adjustment signal in a control module. The control module includes a predetermined comparison database, and the comparison database has multiple set modes, wherein the multiple set modes respectively have multiple interruption signals and multiple recovery signals.
