FASTENING SYSTEM FOR AN ELECTRICAL STIMULATION GENERATOR
A fastening system for an electrical stimulation generator, with a generator and an electrode, has a casing for containing the generator that presents identical first and second openings, disposed on opposite sides; means for the connection of the electrode to the first or second opening in the casing formed by a first pass-through connector for the electrode, with a sealing element; an airtight closing element disposed at the opening of the casing opposite the one presenting the means for the connection of the electrode; a device for securing the electrode to the skin; and means for fastening the casing to the body of the patient.
Method and apparatus for monitoring a patient
An apparatus for monitoring a patient post operation having electrically conducting leads which are adapted to extend from inside the patient. The leads having electrodes adapted to communicate with a heart of the patient and apply electrical signals to the heart. The electrodes providing cardiac signals to the computer in response to the electrical signals so the computer can determine in real time at least one of heart volume, end diastolic heart volume, end systolic heart volume, stroke volume, change in heart volume, change in stroke volume, contractility, respiration rate or tidal volume regarding the patient.
WEARABLE MEDICAL DEVICE
Technologies and implementations for a wearable medical device (WMD). The technologies and implementations facilitate improved comfort and usability of WMDs. Additionally, the technologies and implementations include WMDs having wearable cardioverter defibrillator capabilities.
SYSTEMS, METHODS, AND APPARATUS FOR EXTERNAL CARDIAC PACING
Systems and methods for cardiac pacing during a procedure are disclosed and may include an external pulse generator (EPG) for connecting to a lead. A remote-control module (RCM) wirelessly connected to the EPG may include user inputs to control the EPG. A central processing unit (CPU) with a memory unit for storing code and a processor for executing the code may be included where the CPU is connected to the EPG and RCM. The code may control the EPG in response to user input from the RCM. The CPU may be disposed in the EPG or the RCM, or an interface module (IM) configured to communicate between an otherwise conventional EPG and the RCM. The executable code may perform a continuity test (CT) routine, a capture check (CC) routine, rapid pacing (RP) routine, and/or a back-up pacing (BP) routine, in response to user input from the RCM.
APPARATUS AND METHOD
An apparatus for providing electrostimulation of a biological tissue, the apparatus comprising: a first electrical signal provider for providing a first alternating electric field in the biological tissue, the first alternating electric field having a first frequency; a second electrical signal provider for providing a second alternating electric field in the biological tissue the second alternating electric field having a second frequency; wherein the first alternating electric field and the second alternating electric field provide a combined field in the biological tissue, and the apparatus comprises a controller configured to provide variations of at least one of the first frequency and the second frequency so that the combined field provides a pulsed interferential stimulation signal.
MEDICAL DEVICE OPERATIONAL MODES
An ambulatory medical device comprising: a monitoring component comprising at least one sensing electrode for detecting a cardiac condition of a patient; at least one processor configured for: adjusting one or more detection parameters for detecting the cardiac condition of the patient based at least in part on at least one of 1) one or more environmental conditions and 2) input received from the monitoring component; and providing at least one of an alarm and a treatment in response to detecting the cardiac condition of the patient based on the adjusted one or more detection parameters.
Wearable cardiac defibrillator (WCD) system controlling conductive fluid deployment
In some embodiments, a wearable medical device system includes a processor configured to determine whether a patient requires electrical therapy to be provided via a plurality of therapy electrodes, the electrical therapy comprising discharging at least a portion of a stored electrical charge from an energy storage module, and if so, cause a fluid deploying mechanism to deploy a portion of the stored fluid to an interface between at least two therapy electrodes and the patient's skin prior to providing the electrical therapy, the deployed portion of fluid adapted to decrease the impedance measured by an impedance measurement circuit, and cause the fluid deploying mechanism to deploy an additional portion of fluid in response to the impedance measured by the impedance measurement circuit increasing above a threshold during the electrical therapy.
Pacing-based hypertension therapy metabolic demand adjustment
This document discusses, among other things, systems and methods to generate a first pacing waveform during a first pacing period and a second pacing waveform during a second pacing period, to alternate first and second pacing periods to provide pacing-based hypertension therapy to a heart of a patient to reduce patient blood pressure, to receive information indicative of patient metabolic demand, and to determine an adjusted pacing-based hypertension therapy parameter using the received information indicative of patient metabolic demand, wherein the first pacing waveform has a first atrioventricular (AV) delay and the second pacing waveform has a second AV delay longer than the first AV delay.
Systems and methods for physiological signal collection
A compact integrated patch may be used to collect physiological data. The patch may be wireless. The patch may be utilized in everyday life as well as in clinical environments. Data acquired by the patch and/or external devices may be interpreted and/or be utilized by healthcare professionals and/or computer algorithms (e.g., third party applications). Data acquired by the patch may be interpreted and be presented for viewing to healthcare professionals and/or ordinary users.
