A cable-pulley system includes a plurality of fixed pulleys mounted to the frame, first and second moveable pulleys, and a floating load pulley mounted to the load attachment structure. A plurality of cables is collectively routed through the first and second movable pulleys, the plurality of fixed pulleys, the floating load pulley, and the lower, middle, and upper pulley stations. When a first pulling force is applied to a first cable end accessible from the lower pulley station, the first movable pulley and the load pulley translate. When a second pulling force is applied to a second cable end accessible from the upper pulley station, the second movable pulley and the load pulley translate. When a third pulling force is applied to a third cable end accessible from the middle pulley station, only the load pulley translates.

An assisted chin/dip exercise apparatus has a main frame and an assist or foot bar pivotally mounted on the frame and linked to a weight stack or resistance for assisting a user standing on the foot bar during performance of chin and dip exercises. The main frame has a first, overhead handle assembly and a second, dip handle assembly below the first handle assembly. The first handle assembly includes a pair of adjustably mounted handles freely pivotable between a first, chin-up position in which the handles extend towards one another at a rearward angle with a small spacing between the handles and a second, pull-up position in which the handles extend in a forward direction and are spaced apart by a larger spacing sufficient to provide head clearance for a user stepping onto the foot bar or while performing a dip exercise.

A weight training machine according to the present invention is a machine for conducting a dead lift or a bent over row while selecting and increasing/decreasing the weight, the machine comprising: a pair of body units, on which weight plates are stacked in the upward/downward direction, and which are provided on both sides of an operating unit, respectively; an operating unit, which is provided between the pair of body units, and which can move in the upward/downward direction; and a cable pulley unit for connecting the body units and the operating unit to each other such that, as the operating unit is moved in the upward/downward direction, the weight plates can be moved in the upward/downward direction, wherein, as the user operates the operating unit in the upward/downward direction and thereby moves the cable of the pair of cable pulley units, the user accordingly moves the weight plates on the body units, which are connected to the cable, thereby conducting weight training. The present invention, as described above, advantageously can provide a weight training machine, which is the purpose of the present invention, configured such that, when the exerciser wants to conduct a dead lift, a bent over row, etc., during weight training, the weight can be easily increased/decreased, and the basic postures can be easily learned, thereby reducing injuries.
