A sensor positioned to measure movement of said seat relative to a base, wherein the sensor provides measured values of the seat relative to the base to a processor; and the processor controls a device based on the measured values. Related apparatus and methods are also described.
ROWING
Among other things, a rowing technology includes a first rowing machine having an electromagnetic brake providing a resistance to a rower of the machine in each rowing stroke of a series of rowing strokes of the rower An electronic controller causes the resistance of the electromagnetic brake to vary over each rowing stroke in a profile that emulates resistance to which another rower in a shell on water or on a second rowing machine is subjected in each rowing stroke of a corresponding series of rowing strokes.
SIT-UP MOTION INFORMATION MANAGEMENT SYSTEM AND DETECTION METHOD BASED ON INTERNET OF THINGS
The present disclosure provides a sit-up motion information management system and detection method based on an Internet of things. The method includes: acquiring detection data of a sensor at present time; determining whether the detection data of the sensor at the present time meet a first counting condition, determining that a sit-up action is correct if yes, and incrementing a flag value by one; acquiring detection data of the sensor at next time; determining whether the detection data of the sensor at the next time meet a second counting condition, determining that a sit-up action is correct if yes, and incrementing a flag value by one; determining whether a flag value is greater than or equal to a preset value to obtain a third determination result; and determining, if the third determination result indicates yes, that one rep of sit-up actions is completed, and recording a number of sit-up reps.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR TELEMEDICINE RESOURCE DEPLOYMENT TO OPTIMIZE COHORT-BASED PATIENT HEALTH OUTCOMES IN RESOURCE-CONSTRAINED ENVIRONMENTS
A method includes receiving a set of treatment plans. Each treatment plan comprising the set of treatment plans may be associated with a user capable of using a treatment device to perform the associated treatment plan. The method also includes receiving healthcare professional profile information. The method also includes identifying treatment device information for each treatment device capable of being used by a cohort of users associated with respective treatment plans. The method also includes using an artificial intelligence engine, wherein the artificial intelligence engine uses at least one machine learning model configured to generate resource deployment predictions, to generate at least one resource deployment prediction. The at least one machine learning model may generate the at least one resource deployment prediction based on at least some treatment plans comprising the set of treatment plans, at least some of the healthcare professional profile information, and at least some of the treatment device information.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR REMOTELY-ENABLED IDENTIFICATION OF A USER INFECTION
Systems and methods for identifying a condition of a user. A treatment apparatus is configured to be manipulated by the user for performing an exercise, and an interface is communicably coupled to the treatment apparatus. One or more sensors are configured to sense one or more characteristics of an anatomical structure of the user. A processing device and a memory is communicatively coupled to the processing device. The memory includes computer readable instructions, that when executed by the processing device, cause the processing device to: receive, from the sensors, one or more sensor inputs representative of the one or more of characteristics of the anatomical structures; calculate an infection probability of a disease based on the one or more characteristics of the anatomical structures; and output, to the interface, a representation of the infection probability.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR USE OF TELEMEDICINE-ENABLED REHABILITATIVE EQUIPMENT FOR PREDICTION OF SECONDARY DISEASE
A computer-implemented system may include a treatment device configured to be manipulated by a user while the user is performing a treatment plan, a patient interface comprising an output device configured to present telemedicine information associated with a telemedicine session, and a first computing device configured to: receive treatment data pertaining to the user while the user uses the treatment device to perform the treatment plan; identify at least one aspect of the at least one measurement pertaining to the user associated with a first treatment device mode of the treatment device; determine whether the at least one aspect of the measurement correlates with a secondary condition of the user; and, in response to a determination that the at least one aspect of the at least one measurement is correlated with the at least one secondary condition of the user, generate secondary condition information indicating at least the secondary condition.
APPARATUS FOR NATURAL TORSO AND LIMBS TRACKING AND FEEDBACK FOR ELECTRONIC INTERACTION
An apparatus for natural torso and limbs tracking and feedback for electronic interaction with fall safety support. The apparatus comprises a body harness worn on the body of a user, a support structure designed to bear the weight of the user in the event of a stumble, trip, or fall, and a plurality of tethers attached at one end to the harness and at the other end to the support structure. One or more sensors are integrated into the system to measure aspects of the user's movement and used as input to control a computer system. In the event of stumble, trip, or fall, all of, or a portion of, the user's body weight is borne by the tethers as a safety mechanism to prevent injury. The system is designed to be used with virtual reality systems wherein the user's vision is blocked or obscured by a virtual reality visor.
ADAPTABLE EXERCISE SYSTEM AND METHOD
A system and method for correlating a video content presentation rate with an exercise machine operation rate is disclosed. A preferred embodiment of the apparatus is an interactive video system that adapts easily to use with a wide range of gym equipment utilizing a video presentation device that includes an accelerometer and/or camera. The camera embodiment utilizes vision algorithms to determine periodicity and motion orientation prior to modifying the input as a function of the type of exercise equipment is being utilized, in order to determine a cadence. In one embodiment the camera does not rely on seeing the limbs being exercised but utilizes the observation that even highly trained athletes have a degree of extraneous motion of their theoretically immobile body parts during exercise. A prerecorded video presentation is modulated by sensing proximate vibrational energy to determine cadence in the case of the accelerometer.
