WALK OUTDOOR POWER EQUIPMENT UNIT HAVING HANDLE MOUNTED OPERATIONAL CONTROLS USING COMPLIANT MECHANISMS
An outdoor power equipment unit, such as a lawn mower, includes a frame movable over the ground. A handle assembly is provided on the frame to allow an operator to walk on the ground behind the handle assembly while operating the unit. A traction drive and a ground grooming or working implement are carried on the frame. A traction control hand grip and an implement control bail are carried on the handle assembly. Both the hand grip and the bail are movable relative to the handle assembly by flexure provided by first and send compliant mechanisms.
GARDENING TOOL, PARTICULARLY A MOWER
A gardening tool, such as a mower, has a main body having an accessory, such as a mowing blade, and a motor for driving the accessory. A handle is rotatably connected to the main body. At least one operation assembly is associated with the handle for being operated by a user to control the motor when the handle is located in a predetermined position. A control system prevents the motor from being controlled by the operation assembly and halts the motor when the handle is located out of the predetermined position.
LAWN MOWER
Lawn mowers are provided. A lawn mower includes: a mower deck; a cutting implement disposed below the mower deck; a handle coupled to the mower deck; a battery receiver configured to receive one or more batteries; a rear drive wheel; a forward drive wheel; a rear transmission coupled to the rear drive wheel and configured to receive power from the one or more batteries; a forward transmission coupled to the forward drive wheel and configured to receive power from the one or more batteries; and a controller configured to control at least one of the rear or forward transmissions.
Noise limited power tool
Disclosed herein is a power tool that includes a direct current power source, motor, and motor controller. In some embodiments, the power source comprises a battery pack configured to supply current at a nominal voltage in excess of 100 VDC. Embodiments of the tool are configured to operate at a high power at least comparable to tools operating at lower voltages, and to produce noise levels in operation that are less than 65 decibels.
ELECTRIC WORK MACHINE
An electric work machine includes a first and second motors; a first and second switches disposed on corresponding current conduction path from a direct-current power source to each motor; a first and second carrier frequency setting devices; and a controller. The first and second carrier frequency setting devices respectively set a first and second carrier frequencies of a time when PWM controlling an electric power supply to the first and second motors. The first and second carrier frequencies are different from each other. The controller drives the first switch or the second switch by using a PWM signal generated at the first or second carrier frequency and PWM controls an electric power supply to the first or second motor.
Propulsion control system for a walk-behind self-propelled machine, a lawnmower, and method for controlling a lawnmower
A propulsion control system for a walk-behind self-propelled machine including a drive transmission and at least one wheel selectively driven by the drive transmission can include a sensor array and a controller. The sensor array can be configured to measure a first angular velocity about a first rotational axis of the machine and a second angular velocity about a second rotational axis of the machine, where the second rotational axis is different from the first rotational axis. The controller can be in electrical communication with the sensor array and configured to place the drive transmission in an off state when the drive transmission is in an on state, the first angular velocity is greater than a first threshold, and the second angular velocity is greater than a second threshold.
Walk power mower with slidable handle grip movable along a curved path for controlling a variable speed traction drive
A walk power mower has a deck with an upwardly and rearwardly extending handle behind which a use walks when operating the mower. The mower is self-propelled by a variable speed traction drive. The handle includes a slidable handle grip for engaging and selecting a speed of the traction drive to control the ground speed of the mower. Forward ground speed is set by pushing the handle grip forwardly on the handle from a neutral position. Reverse ground speed if available is by pulling the handle grip rearwardly from its neutral position. The handle grip follows a curved path as it moves forwardly or rearwardly to flatten the path of travel of the handle grip from the travel that would have occurred absent the curved path.
Electric working machine capable of determining type of tip tool
An electric working machine includes an attachment portion, a motor, and a controller. Multiple types of tip tools are alternatively attached to the attachment portion. The motor drives the tip tool attached to the attachment portion. The controller has first start control and second start control. The controller is configured to execute the first start control so as to determine the type of the tip tool when not having tool type information, and configured to execute the second start control when having the tool type information.
WALK POWER MOWER WITH BIASED HANDLE
A walk power mower having a cutting deck supported upon the ground by front and rear wheels. The mower includes a biased handle that permits the handle to be pivotally displaced downwardly, against an upward bias force, during operation. The bias force may be provided by a resilient member that compresses as the handle is displaced downwardly. The compression of the resilient member allows downward movement of the handle without initially producing corresponding upward movement of the front wheels of the mower during rearward pulling of the handle.
