A SIMPLE HEAD PRESSING TYPE DISPOSABLE SAFETY LANCET
A safety lancet includes a housing, a needle core, a pusher and a launching spring, the front end of the needle core having a protective rod, the side of the needle core having an elastic arm having a protrusion; a sliding platform is provided for the protrusion on the inner wall of the housing, and the front end face of the sliding platform is the triggering surface for triggering launching the lancet, and the tabletop of the sliding platform is a sliding surface in the length direction of the lancet; the distance of the decoupling point of the projection relative to the center of the lancet is greater than or equal to the distance of the sliding surface relative to the center of the lancet; a stopper is on the protection rod, and corresponding to the stopper a second limit surface is on the inner wall of the pusher.
Lancet pricking device
A lancet pricking device comprises a lancet, a launching spring, a trigger part and a holder housing the lancet, launching spring and trigger part. The lancet comprises a lancet body, lancet cap and pricking needle. The pricking needle is in both the lancet body and lancet cap. The trigger part has a pair of arms positioned inside the holder. The launching spring is attached to the lancet body. The lancet body is secured to the arms of the trigger part by an abutment of the lancet body on the arms such that the launching spring is compressed before a pricking operation. The trigger part cannot be pushed toward the inside of the holder before the lancet cap is removed, but can be pushed toward the inside of the holder after the cap is removed. The lancet body warps when pressed to release the secured lancet body.
ANALYTE MONITORING SYSTEMS AND METHODS
A reagentless whole-blood analyte detection system that is capable of being deployed near a patient has a source capable of emitting a beam of radiation that includes a spectral band. The whole-blood system also has a detector in an optical path of the beam. The whole-blood system also has a housing that is configured to house the source and the detector. The whole-blood system also has a sample element that is situated in the optical path of the beam. The sample element has a sample cell and a sample cell wall that does not eliminate transmittance of the beam of radiation in the spectral band.
Lancet, method for manufacturing the lancet, and mold for the method
There is provided a process of producing a lancet which suppresses curving (or flexing) of the front end portion of the pricking member. In the production of a lancet by injection molding of a resin with a pricking member inserted in a mold, upon forming at least a portion of a lancet cap in which portion a molten resin supplied to the mold surrounds a front end portion of the pricking member, a mold is used which is configured such that at least a portion of the molten resin which forms said portion of the lancet cap flows along the front end portion including a leading end of the pricking member toward its leading end.
Puncture needle cartridge and puncture device using same
A puncture needle cartridge (1) includes: a lancet body (5) mounted with a puncture needle (3) on a front end side and having a mount (4) on a rear end side; and a plate-like first case (6) and second case (7) covering the lancet body (5) from above and below and arranged slidably back and forth along each other. The puncture needle cartridge (1) is configured such that the first case (6) is slid forward of the second case (7), and in this slid state, the first case (6) and the second case (7) are secured to each other when ejected from the puncture instrument (10). This can make the puncture needle cartridge (1) impossible to mount again on the puncture instrument (10).
Cam-actuated medical puncturing device and method
The medical puncturing device includes a housing, a shield, and a skin puncturing assembly disposed within the housing. The shield is axially movable in the housing. The skin puncturing assembly includes a movable carrier and a skin puncturing element mounted to the carrier. A distal end of the skin puncturing element is adapted for puncturing the skin of a patient. The carrier is movable from a retracted position wherein the skin puncturing element is disposed within the shield to a puncturing position wherein the distal end of the skin puncturing element is exposed. The carrier is maintained in the retracted position by engagement of flexure members or a retaining tab with the carrier. A drive spring is provided to move the carrier from the retracted position to the puncturing position. A retraction spring is provided to return the carrier and skin puncturing element into the housing.
Blood Collection Assembly Having a Multi-Function Shield
A needle assembly includes a housing having proximal and distal ends, an IV cannula projecting distally from the housing, and an IV shield having an engagement. The housing has a shield seat and the IV cannula has a distal tip. The IV shield has a pre-use position where the IV shield covers the distal tip of the IV cannula and the engagement is disengaged from the shield seat, and a use position where the engagement is engaged with the shield seat and the IV shield is adapted to move between a non-shielded position, in which the distal tip is exposed, and a shielded position, in which the distal tip is shielded by the IV shield.
Integrated fluid module and test device
An integrated testing device and fluid module are disclosed, as well as a method of manufacture. Fluid module contains a reservoir containing a test fluid, and a control vessel. The reservoir discharges test fluid into the control vessel, which discharges the test fluid in a controlled way to a test component.

Lancet pricking device
A lancet pricking device comprising a lancet, a launching spring and a lancet holder for housing therein the lancet and the launching spring. The lancet pricking device of the present invention is characterized in that the lancet comprises a lancet body, a lancet cap and a pricking needle, and the pricking needle is disposed in both the lancet body and the lancet cap; wherein the launching spring is attached to the lancet body, and the lancet body is secured by abutting against the lancet holder such that the launching spring is kept compressed before a pricking operation; and wherein, when the lancet cap is removed, the lancet body becomes capable of warping upon being pressed from an outside to cause the secured lancet body to be released.
