APPLICATORS AND METHODS FOR APPLYING A MICRONEEDLE PATCH TO A SKIN OF A SUBJECT, AND MICRONEEDLE PATCHES
An applicator for applying a microneedle patch to a skin of a subject, comprising a base having a skin-side end and a holder for holding the microneedle patch. Two or more contact parts are movable over the skin and away from each other to stretch the skin. The applicator further comprising an interface for an actuator. The actuator actuates a movement of the microneedle patch relative to the skin-side end to penetrate at least into the stratum corneum of the epidermis of the skin with the microneedle. A microneedle patch comprising a skin-adhesive surface for attaching the patch to the skin of a subject. The patch has one or more projecting microneedles. A stiffening body stiffens the patch in at least a parallel direction parallel to the skin-adhesive surface in a region of the skin-adhesive surface which includes the microneedle.

Inserter for analyte sensors
An inserter for a medical device, where the inserter includes a housing having a first end with an opening therein, an actuator connected to a first gear, an actuator biasing element, a cam gear assembly including a cam member and a second gear, a cam bridge follower in contact with the cam member, and a first plunger assembly having a first plunger and a first biasing element.
Disposable Lancing Device and Method of Operating the Same
A disposable lancing device contains: a first casing, a second casing, and a needle holder. The first casing includes a close segment, an open segment, a slideway, two tilted contact faces, a fixing portion, two recesses, and two push fringes. The second casing includes an accommodation chamber, two limitation extensions, and multiple drive protrusions. A forcing face is defined on the second casing opposite to the two limitation extensions, and a through hole is defined on a center of the forcing face. The through hole has a protruded rib. The needle holder includes a collection needle having a syringe needle, and the needle holder further includes a trigger spring, a return spring, and two symmetrical flexible wings. The two symmetrical flexible wings include two driving segments configured to abut against the two symmetrical flexible wings to flexibly retract inward by using the two tilted contact faces.

BODY FLUID SAMPLING ARRANGEMENTS
An arrangement for producing a sample of body fluid from a wound opening created in a skin surface at a sampling site includes at least one skin-penetration member having a first end configured to pierce the surface of the skin, and a inner lumen in communication with the first end; at least one actuator operatively associated with the at least one skin-penetration member; and at least one catalyst device configured to cause perfusion of body fluid at the sampling site; wherein the at least one actuator is configured to locate the at least one skin-penetration member so as to obstruct the wound opening while transporting body fluid through the inner lumen. Associated methods are also described.
Liquid sample measurement device with removable lancet or biosensor
This liquid sample measurement device is provided with: a lancet mounting part to and from which a lancet device having a skin contact section for puncturing skin can be attached and detached; a sensor mounting part to which a biosensor, which is spotted with blood that comes out from the punctured skin, can be attached; and a measurement part that uses the biosensor attached to the sensor mounting part to measure the amounts of substances in the blood. The liquid sample measurement device includes a feature that makes it necessary to replace a lancet device that has been attached to the lance mounting part and has punctured skin, each time a lancet device is used to puncture skin.

BODILY FLUID COLLECTION DEVICES AND RELATED METHODS
Devices and methods for withdrawing bodily fluid from a patient are disclosed herein. A handheld device configured in accordance with the present technology can include a housing having an opening, a skin-piercing assembly located at least partially within the housing, and an actuator movable relative to the housing along a deployment direction. The skin-piercing assembly can include a skin-piercing feature and a biasing member. The biasing member can be coupled to the skin-piercing feature to bias the skin-piercing feature along the deployment direction. Movement of the actuator along the deployment direction to a predetermined position can increase a load on the biasing member to at least a partially loaded state. Movement of the actuator along the deployment direction beyond the predetermined position can release the load on the biasing member so that the biasing member actively drives the skin-piercing feature along the deployment direction.
