A device for fixation of inner and outer bone fragments comprises at least three fixation means (5), at least one tilting preventing means (6) and a securing plate (7). The fixation means (5) are configured to allow, during secondary compression of the inner and outer bone fragments (2, 3), a sliding movement of the fixation means and said outer bone fragment relative to one another and thereby an interruption of an engagement of the securing plate (7) with the outer bone fragment (3) without affecting the angular position of the fixation means relative to the securing plate and relative to one another. The tilting preventing means (6) is configured to allow, during said secondary compression, a sliding movement of the at least one tilting preventing means and said outer bone fragment (3) relative to one another and thereby an interruption of the engagement of the securing plate (7) with the outer bone fragment. The tilting preventing means (6) is also configured to prevent or counteract tilting of the device.

Compression nut, a system and a method for treating a bone

A compression nut for treating a bone includes a head and a body extending longitudinally from the head to a free end. The body includes an exterior threading along an exterior surface of a threaded portion of the body separated from the head via an unthreaded portion. The nut also includes a channel extending longitudinally through the body. The channel includes an interior threaded extending along an interior surface of the channel configured to threadedly engage an end of a locking screw received therein.

FIXATION SYSTEM BETWEEN A MEDICAL DEVICE AND AT LEAST ONE PORTION OF A BONE

The invention relates to a fixation system between a medical device and at least one portion of a bone, characterised in that it comprises an elongate portion intended to be inserted into the bone, in particular into the medullary cavity and/or into the proximal or distal ends, the elongate portion having a wall consisting of meshes through which at least one fixing member can pass, according to a position and orientation that are not predefined, and which apply, by elastic, plastic or elastic-plastic deformation, a transverse and/or axial pressure force onto the fixing member, the fixing member being intended to also pass through the portion of the bone in order to ensure rigid fixation between the bone and the medical device.

Convertible intramedullary femoral nail and use thereof for management of metastatic cancer to bone

Described herein is an intramedullary femoral nail implant. The implant can be more easily converted to a load bearing hip replacement. Fixation of the intramedullary nail may be enhanced by injection of cement. Disclosed devices may be preferable to other types of intramedullary nails at the time of the first procedure given their characteristics of improved fixation, stability, and flexibility for potential conversion via a less complex operation.

Proximal humeral stabilization system

Devices, systems, and methods for bone stabilization, especially proximal humeral stabilization. The stabilization system may include a bone plate having an elongated portion extending along a longitudinal axis and an enlarged head portion extending from the elongated portion. The stabilization system may include an intramedullary nail having an upper portion and a lower portion extending from the upper portion, the upper portion and the lower portion including a plurality of holes. A plurality of fasteners may be configured to extend through one or more of the plurality of through holes in the bone plate and/or one or more of the plurality of holes in the intramedullary nail and into the bone. The plate and nail may each be used alone or in combination together to stabilize a fracture in a long bone, such as a humerus.
