BONE STABILIZING IMPLANTS AND METHODS OF PLACEMENT ACROSS SI JOINTS

Threaded sacro-iliac joint stabilization (e.g., fusion, fixation) implants and methods of implantation and manufacture. Some implants include a threaded distal region, an optionally threaded central region, and an optionally threaded proximal region. The distal, central, and proximal regions have lengths such that when the implant is laterally implanted across a SI joint, the distal region can be positioned in a sacrum, the central region can be positioned across an SI-joint, and the proximal region can be positioned in an ilium.

Spinal implant

A bone screw includes a shaft including at least one thread having an external thread form and an implant receiver. A ring includes a mating surface engageable with the implant receiver and an outer surface, at least a portion of the outer surface having a coarse configuration to promote tissue on-growth with the outer surface. In some embodiments, systems, spinal constructs, surgical instruments and methods are disclosed.

PROXIMAL HUMERAL STABILIZATION SYSTEMS AND METHODS THEREOF

An intramedullary nail implant for positioning in a bone having a head and a shaft defining an intramedullary canal. The implant includes a distal portion having a shaft extending along a central axis and configured for positioning within the intramedullary canal. A proximal portion extends proximally from the distal portion. The proximal portion defines a contact surface which extends at least in part medially of the central axis such that it is configured to extend within a medial portion of the bone head. A method of implanting the nail is also provided.

5TH METATARSAL COMPRESSION FIXATION SYSTEM

Systems and devices for compressing a 5.sup.th metatarsal fracture of the foot are provided. A bone fixation device is provided that includes an opening for receiving a bone screw. The device also includes at least one hook sized and configured to be placed at the base of the 5.sup.th metatarsal bone of the foot. Drill guides and bone tap guides are also provided that include at least one hook sized and configured to placed at the base of the 5.sup.th metatarsal bone of the foot.

Systems, apparatuses and methods for bone fusion are disclosed. In particular, a fixation screw assembly is provided that comprises a bone engagement portion including a shaft and a head member. The assembly also includes a flexible washer member that can be operably attached and secured around the head member of the bone engagement portion. The washer member is polyaxial relative to the bone engagement portion, such that it can assume a variety of angles. The washer member can help prevent back out of the bone engagement portion when the bone engagement portion is implanted into a bone member. The design of the fixation screw assembly can be used in different fusion procedures, including fusion of the sacroiliac joint.

Compression force magnifier

A compression force magnifier comprising: an engaging surface for attaching to a bone plate; a ramped component above the engaging surface, the ramped component having a bottom surface adjacent the engaging surface and an angled upper surface; and a hole extending through the ramped component and the engaging surface.

Wireless system to power a low current device

A wireless system comprising a first wireless device and a second wireless device. The first wireless device is configured to operate with less than 15 milliamperes of current. The second wireless device has an internal power source and is configured to transmit one or more radio frequency signals to the first wireless device. The first wireless device is configured to receive the one or more radio frequency signals from the second wireless device. The first wireless device is configured to harvest energy from the one or more radio frequency signals. The first wireless device is enabled for operation after a predetermined amount of energy is harvested from the one or more radio frequency signals. A communication handshake occurs between the first and second wireless devices to indicate that the first wireless device is in communication with the second wireless device. The first wireless device is configured to perform at least one task from harvested energy.

K-WIRE IMPLANTS FOR FRACTURES

A slotted washer configured to secure a K-wire to a native bone, including: an upper arm with a screw hole; a lower arm with a screw hole; a connector connecting the upper arm with the lower arm; and a K-wire opening between the connector, lower arm, and upper arm configured to receive and compress the K-wire.
