PROCESS FOR INTRODUCING A STABILIZING ELEMENT INTO A VERTEBRAL COLUMN
A process for introducing a stabilizing element into a vertebral column, in which the stabilizing element is introduced in such a manner that the stabilizing element connects two adjacent vertebral bodies to one another.
Joint configuration
A joint configuration is proposed for a joint endoprosthesis forming a hinge joint, comprising a joint receptacle, which has a joint receptacle surface and a receptacle locking structure, and a joint body, which is receivable in the joint receptacle and has a joint body surface and a body locking structure. The joint receptacle surface and the joint body surface are movable in relation to one another into a position in which the receptacle locking structure and the body locking structure assume a locked position, in which they can be engaged for a locked state between the joint receptacle and the joint body.
Hinge joint system with distal femoral replacement prosthetic knee
Methods and systems are provided for a hinge knee system. A hinge knee system may comprise a femoral component; an insert; a tibial tray configured to be coupled to the insert; a tibial bushing configured to be disposed between the tibial tray and the insert; a poly locking screw configured to secure the tibial tray to the insert; a hinge box configured to be disposed between the femoral component and the insert; one or more cross-pin bushings configured to be disposed within the hinge box; a cross-pin configured to secure the hinge box to the femoral component; a hinge post configured to couple the hinge box to the tibial tray; and a hinge post set screw configured to secure the hinge box to the hinge post.
Curved spacer and inserter
The present teachings provide one or more surgical implements for repairing damaged tissue, such as in the case of a spinal fixation procedure. A cross connector system for use during a spinal fixation procedure is provided. The system includes at least one bridge defining a coupling bore and having a pair of downwardly extending arms for coupling to a first fastener. The system includes a contoured bar having a first end offset from a second end, and a bore having a central axis. The system includes an expansion ring received within the bore, and a locking device received through the expansion ring and the coupling bore. The locking device is operable in a first state in which the contoured bar is movable about the central axis of the bore and in a second state in which the contoured bar fixed relative to the central axis of the bore.
Inter-body implantation system and method
A system for implanting an inter-body device between adjacent vertebrae comprises an inter-body device having a plurality of cans secured to a flexible bridge and having a relief portion therebetween. An inserter tube and complementary bullnoses are advantageously secured to the vertebrae by an extension arm for securing the assembly precisely in place. A plurality of articulating trial implants are provided to test fit a disc space for the proper sized inter-body device.

ELBOW PROSTHESIS
An elbow prosthesis according to the present teachings can include a stem structure and an articulating component. The stem structure can be operable to be positioned in a bone of a joint. The stem structure can include a stem portion that is operable to be positioned in the bone and a C-shaped body portion having a first retaining mechanism formed thereon. The articulating component can have a second retaining mechanism formed thereon. One of the first and second retaining mechanisms can comprise an extension portion and a first anti-rotation portion. The other retaining mechanism can comprise a receiving portion and a second anti-rotation portion. The articulating component can be advanced from an insertion position to an assembled position, such that the first and second mechanisms cooperatively interlock to inhibit translation and rotation of the articulating component relative to the C-shaped body portion of the stem structure.
Inter-body implant
A system for implanting an inter-body device between adjacent vertebrae comprises an inter-body device having a plurality of cans secured to a flexible bridge and having a relief portion therebetween. An inserter tube and complementary bullnoses are advantageously secured to the vertebrae by an extension arm for securing the assembly precisely in place. A plurality of articulating trial implants are provided to test fit a disc space for the proper sized inter-body device.
ORTHOPAEDIC PROSTHETIC SYSTEM FOR A ROTATING HINGED-KNEE PROSTHESIS
An orthopaedic prosthesis system includes a femoral component configured to be attached to a distal end of a patient's femur. A tibial tray is configured to be attached to a proximal end of a patient's tibia. A tibial insert is configured to be positioned between the femoral component and the tibial tray. An elongated pin rotatably couples the tibial insert to the femoral component.
Prosthetic hip system
An implantable prosthetic hip system generally includes acetabular components, femoral components, and tooling for implanting the components. The acetabular components include an acetabular socket and a bushing received within the acetabular socket. The acetabular socket defines a reamer with cutters for preparing the acetabulum. The femoral components generally include a cutter cap, a head cover, and a screw. Tooling includes a cutting bit that is used to cut a flat on the femoral head. The cutter cap is advanced in a cutting action onto the femoral head to remove the sides of the head and the cutter cap is also implanted on the femoral head. The head cover is positioned on the cutter cap, and retained with a coupling screw. The acetabular socket and the head cover are assembled with a bushing therebetween. Methods of implantation are also provided.
