TIBIAL COMPONENT
In a tibial component, an engagement mechanism configured to engage a tibial block and a tibial tray includes a recessed portion that is disposed in a lower surface, is non-penetrating, and includes an overhanging portion protruding inward more on an opening side than on a bottom portion side in at least a part of an inner wall; and a projecting portion that protrudes from the tibial block to the lower surface side, and includes a protruding part configured to engage with the overhanging portion.
KNEE PROSTHESIS
A knee joint prosthesis may be for implantation in a knee of a patient. The knee prosthesis may comprise a tibial component configured to be implanted on the tibia and a femoral component configured to be implanted on the femur. The femoral component may comprise a medial condyle with a medial articulation surface and a lateral condyle with a lateral articulation surface. The medial articulation surface and the lateral articulation surface may be shaped substantially symmetrically to each other across a femoral component plane bisecting the femoral component. The tibial component may comprise an articulation surface with a medial articulation side configured to articulate with the medial articulation surface and a lateral articulation side configured to articulate with the lateral articulation surface. The medial articulation side and the lateral articulation side may be shaped substantially asymmetrically to each other across a tibial component plane bisecting the tibial component.
Cervical disc and instrumentation
A spinal implant configured for positioning within a space between adjacent vertebral bodies includes an upper end plate including an outer surface extending between first and second end surfaces and opposed side surfaces. The outer surface includes a first convex profile extending between the first and second end surfaces and a second convex profile extending between the opposed side surfaces. The first convex profile and the second convex profile have different curvatures. The spinal implant further includes a lower end plate and a core disposed between the upper and lower end plates and coupled thereto. A method of assembling a spinal implant and a method of performing spinal surgery are also disclosed.
Hip implant device
A hip implant is provided that includes a metal acetabular cup to be inserted into an acetabulum of the pelvis, a femoral head and neck portion with a polymer femoral head molded onto a metal formal head base that is attached to a metal femoral neck rod configured to be inserted into the neck of a femur, and a metal main body shaft configured to be inserted into a femoral shaft region of the femur and secured by bone screws. The head base may have stabilizing features, such as dimples and peripheral mounds, over which the femoral head is molded. The main body shaft also has diagonal hole located at the center line of the neck of the femur to receive the femoral neck rod at an adjustable angle. The femoral head interfaces with the acetabular cup as a smooth plastic-to-metal spherical-surface joint.
TOTAL WRIST PROSTHESIS AND RELATED METHODS
A tool for locating the insertion point of a radial component of a wrist prosthesis on a human distal radius bone, the guide comprising a handle; a guide face attached to the handle, the guide face being of a shape configured to engage an articular surface of the distal radius bone; the guide face comprising three visual cues respectively adapted to align with a palmar corner of a radio-ulnar joint located on the distal radius, a dorsal corner of a radio-ulnar joint located on the distal radius, and a tip of a radial styloid located on the distal radius; the guide face further comprising an opening designating the insertion point, the opening being at a designated location on the guide face relative to the visual cues; and the opening adapted to facilitate the marking of the insertion point on the articular surface of the distal radius bone.
Tibial prosthesis for tibia with varus resection
Methods, systems and apparatuses are disclosed including apparatuses that can be used in a total knee replacement procedure. According to one example, a tibial implant is disclosed. The tibial implant can be configured for attachment to a tibia in a knee arthroplasty and can include a baseplate having a lateral portion and a medial portion oriented relative to an anteroposterior axis and a fixation member. Each of the lateral portion and the medial portion can have a distal surface configured to interface with a resected proximal surface of a tibia. The fixation member can be coupled to and extend both distally and medially from the baseplate such that the fixation member is oriented at an acute angle relative to the distal surface of the medial portion.
DYNAMIC SPINAL SEGMENT REPLACEMENT
A vertebral body system and method having a polyaxial fastener receiving member, adjustable width plates and a pedicle screw having a pedicle threaded portion and a threaded portion for fastening to the vertebral body.
IMPROVED SPINAL IMPLANT
This disclosure describes spinal implants with anchoring elements including an aperture for delivery of injectable materials. In one aspect, a spinal implant includes a body defining one or more injection ports and one or more channels, the one or more injection ports configured to receive flowable material and to provide the flowable material to the one or more channels; and one or more anchoring elements protruding from a surface of the body, the one or more anchoring elements each defining an aperture coupled to the one or more channels and configured to receive the flowable material from the one or more channels and to provide/output the flowable material from the aperture.
