Underpants-type disposable diaper with seepage-minimizing display sheet structure

An underpants-type disposable diaper has outer members that separately or integrally configures a front body and a back body. An inner member is attached to the outer members from the front body to the back body. The outer members have a waist extended section that extends to a side of the waist opening of an edge of the inner member on a waist side. The underpants-type disposable diaper further has a display sheet containing a liquid impervious resin film on an outer side of the inner member in a region in which the outer members and the inner member overlap with each other in at least one of the front body and the back body, in which the display sheet extends from a region overlapping the inner member into the waist extended section.

Disclosed is a wearable article comprising a main body and a ring-like elastic belt comprising an outer cover layer, a backsheet, a front belt artwork region; and a back belt artwork region; and wherein one or both of the front and back belt artwork regions comprises a belt artwork; a transitional region on the front waist panel and the back waist panel where the outer cover layer exists; and a crotch artwork region on the crotch panel comprising a crotch artwork; wherein at least some of the belt artwork and some of the crotch artwork are printed on the backsheet, wherein when the opacity of the outer cover layer is OC and the opacity of one or both of the front belt and the back belt comprising the belt artwork is OB, respectively, the difference between OC and OB is less than about 20%.

Disposable absorbent articles

An absorbent article comprising a first and second plurality of elastics. The first plurality of elastics may be disposed in a front and a crotch region. The second plurality of elastics may be disposed in a back region and the crotch region. The first and second plurality of elastics may be linear and parallel with a transverse axis of the article.

Wearable absorbent article with robust feeling waistband structure

A disposable diaper having front and rear augmented waistband zones having a specified size and stiffness is disclosed. For relatively thinner, less bulky diapers of currently marketed designs, providing augmented waistband zones is believed to reduce mental and physical effort for the caregiver in application of the diaper. The augmented waistband zones provide a robust-feeling structure proximate the waist edges, which the caregiver may grasp at front and rear to adjust the diaper on the wearer. Caregiver perception of a need to reach deeper into the diaper structure to grasp it at a thicker area to tug at it is believed to be reduced.

The present invention is intended to prevent cutting of the resilient and elastic members by a welding process. The foregoing issue is solved by passing a first sheet layer, a second sheet layer, and elongated resilient and elastic members continuously disposed in an MD direction between the two sheet layers, between a first roll with joint convex parts provided at circumferential intervals on an outer peripheral surface and a second roll opposed to the first roll, and pressurizing and heating the first sheet layer and the second sheet layer to form sheet joined sections by welding the first sheet layer and the second sheet layer in such a manner as to cross the resilient and elastic members and have MD-direction intervals therebetween, wherein circumferentially continuous grooves are formed on a pressurization surface of the second roll, passage sections of the resilient and elastic members are pressurized and heated in positions including the grooves of the second roll, and non-passage sections of the resilient and elastic members are pressurized and heated in positions not including the grooves of the second roll.
