An absorber article includes: a body-contact part having a canal member which has a stretchable and shrinkable, left and right pair of head sections extending in the front-rear direction, and which also has a canal sheet having left and right edges joined to the left and right pair of head sections and also having a center section hanging downward, the body contact part also having affixing members which affix the canal member to the wearer's body in such a manner that the head sections of the canal member are in contact with the wearer's skin; and body-non-contacting part having a sheet-like leakage prevention body and also having an absorber disposed on the upper side of the leakage prevention body. The absorber article is also provided with a passage for transporting bodily fluids from the upper side of the canal sheet to the absorber.

Disclosed is an absorbent body for an absorbent article comprising 1) a water permeable topsheet; 2) a water impermeable backsheet; 3) an absorbent core disposed between the topsheet and the backsheet; and 4) a composite isolation sheet bonded to the wearer facing side of the topsheet.

Disclosed is an absorbent body comprising: 1) a water permeable topsheet; 2) a water impermeable backsheet; 3) an absorbent core disposed between the topsheet and the backsheet; and 4) a composite isolation sheet bonded to the wearer facing side of the topsheet. The composite isolation sheet comprises: a) a pair of inner cuffs having a pair of side edges which are elasticized in the longitudinal direction; b) a front portion or a back portion; and c) a longitudinal elastic element disposed on the front portion or the back portion. The longitudinal elastic element extends substantially in the longitudinal direction.

A garment having a fabric body and an absorbent pad attached to the fabric body is disclosed. The absorbent pad includes a liquid impermeable barrier layer and a functional layer attached to the barrier layer. The functional layer has a wicking component and a liquid absorbent component. The liquid absorbent component is disposed between the wicking component and the barrier layer. The absorbent pad is washable and reusable.

Provided is a containment brief to be worn by a user for containing urine and feces. The containment brief includes a strip of stretchable resilient material having a first end and a second end, a first stretchable resilient side panel attached to the strip of stretchable resilient material along a first side of the strip of stretchable resilient material between the first end and the second end, a second stretchable resilient side panel attached to the strip of stretchable resilient material along a second side of the strip of stretchable resilient material between the first end and the second end, the first side of the strip of stretchable resilient material being opposite the second side of the strip of stretchable resilient material, a first side dam disposed along the first side of the strip of stretchable resilient material, a second side dam disposed along the second side of the strip of stretchable resilient material, an absorbent pad disposed on a first surface of the strip of stretchable resilient material, the absorbent pad including a rectangular cut-out therein, and a sling disposed on the absorbent pad at least partially around the rectangular cut-out, wherein each of the first stretchable resilient side panel and the second stretchable resilient side panel includes at least one adhesive tab.

The present invention generally relates to a diaper core, specifically a triple leak guard diaper core (1) for infant and adult, comprising: a center core (10) comprising liquid absorbing material (12) and a plurality of hollow sections (14) disposed on the core (10) longitudinally, allowing the core (10) to bend upward or forming a U-channel, and a center core top surface (CCTS) is provided facing a liquid discharge source (16); at least one layer of bottom core wrap (16) encapsulates the center core (10) with a bottom core gap (BCG) disposed on the center core top surface (CCTS); at least one layer of top core wrap (18) is disposed on the bottom core gap (BCG) and the bottom core wrap (16); and at least one layer of acquisition distribution layer (20) is disposed on the top core wrap (18).

Absorbent articles having a liquid permeable topsheet, a liquid impermeable backsheet, an absorbent core disposed at least partially between the topsheet and the backsheet, and a pair of barrier leg cuffs is provided. Each barrier leg cuff is formed from a single web of material and has a backfolded inner cuff with an inner folded edge, a backfold folded edge, an inner elastic element, and a backfold elastic element. The inner elastic element may be disposed proximate the inner folded edge, and the backfold elastic element may be disposed proximate the backfold folded edge. At least a portion of the backfolded inner cuff may be configured to overlap the topsheet when the absorbent article is in a flat, uncontracted configuration.

The invention features a disposable absorbent article including a thermoplastic composition applied in a full coat layer (i.e. a layer with 100% coverage) as a discrete shape to either the top sheet or to a component of the absorbent core (i.e. core or core wrap). The discrete shape is strategically located to decrease the likelihood of leaks in the desired location. The thermoplastic composition serves as a leak barrier to prevent bodily fluids and solids (i.e. urine, stool, menstrual flow, wound seepage) from leaking from the absorbent core.

The present disclosure pertains to an absorbent article for personal hygiene, preferably a disposable pant, comprising: a substantially transversely extending front panel; a substantially transversely extending back panel; and a substantially longitudinally extending absorbent insert joined to each of said front and back panels, said absorbent insert comprising front and back transversal edges and left and right longitudinal edges connecting the front and back transversal edges to form a perimeter thereof; and wherein said insert (4) comprises an absorbent core;
wherein the front and back panels are joined together to define a pair of side seams, and wherein said article comprises a transversal waist barrier proximal to the front and/or back transversal edges of the absorbent insert wherein said barrier comprises a plurality of liquid retarding layers and wherein said plurality of liquid retarding layers comprise at least two layers selected from the group consisting of hydrophobic nonwovens, films, and/or strands and; wherein at least a majority of the waist barrier (5) comprises at least two of said plurality of liquid retarding layers and wherein said at least two of said plurality of liquid retarding layers are un-joined at one or more locations so that said layers are separated from one another at said location(s) by a gap, and wherein said one or more locations together corresponding to a majority of a total surface of said waist barrier (5).

Disclosed herein is a liquid absorbing pad for use in clothing, comprising: a liquid permeable layer; a functional layer over the liquid impermeable layer; and a liquid impermeable barrier material, wherein the functional layer is capable of acquiring and distributing liquid and/or absorbing liquid and the liquid impermeable barrier material is bonded to at least the liquid impermeable layer and the functional layer around the periphery of said layers by a bonding means, provided that the bonding means is not stitching. The liquid absorbable pad may form part of a garment.
