TOPSHEET COMPRISING NATURAL FIBERS WITH GOOD MECHANICAL STRENGTH
A topsheet for use with an absorbent article is provided and comprises a first layer and a second layer. The first layer may be a spunlace nonwoven and may comprise at least 15% by weight of natural fibers by total weight of the first layer. The first layer may comprise a plurality of protrusions and a plurality of apertures. The first layer and the second layer may be in contact with each other between the majority of the protrusions. The second layer may have a plurality of apertures at least partially aligned with the apertures of the first layer. The first layer may have a minimum CD strength of at least 3N/(5 cm), according to the Tensile Strength Test Method.
ABSORBENT ARTICLE
A plurality of openings (11) is formed in a region corresponding to at least a body fluid discharge region (H) of a liquid permeable top sheet (3). A polymer sheet (6) disposed adjacent to a surface of an absorbent body (4) side of the liquid permeable top sheet (3) is included, and the polymer sheet includes highly absorbent resin disposed along a longitudinal direction on both sides of the region corresponding to the body fluid discharge region (H). Upon the highly absorbent resin becoming swollen by absorption, a space (10) for holding a body fluid is formed between regions in which the highly absorbent resin is disposed (12) and also between the liquid permeable top sheet (3) and the polymer sheet (6).
Absorbent product comprising odor control material
Hygienic product comprising an odor control material having a longitudinal direction, a transverse direction and a thickness direction, the odor control material including a first carrier material wherein a plurality of odor control particles are bonded to at least one surface of the first carrier material by a binder substance wherein the first carrier material in an unexpanded condition has a plurality of transversal slits, and that the first carrier material in an expanded condition in the longitudinal direction has a plurality of openings, and that the first carrier material is fixed in the expanded condition in the hygienic product whereby the odor control material is in the form of a reticulated structure.
DISPOSABLE ABSORBENT ARTICLE WITH UNITARY TOPSHEET AND UNITARY ABSORBENT ARTICLE
The present invention relates to disposable absorbent articles such as sanitary napkins, panty liners, baby diapers, adult incontinence articles and sweat pads. According to the present invention the absorbent article in the region designated for liquid deposition on its wearer facing surface has a single layer topsheet onto which liquid to be absorbed is provided during use of the article. The absorbent article includes a backsheet forming the liquid barrier surface and a unitary absorbent core between the topsheet and the backsheet. Importantly the unitary core provides improved liquid handling to the absorbent article and increases the masking, i.e. ability to hide stains due to absorbed liquid, of the article. This is particularly beneficial in the context of articles for absorption of liquids with high color intensity, such as menstrual liquid or urine of older adults.
WATER ABSORPTION TREATMENT MATERIAL AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME
Provided are a water absorption treatment material with excellent water disintegrability and a method for manufacturing the water absorption treatment material. A water absorption treatment material is a water absorption treatment material that absorbs a liquid, and includes a granule. The granule contains a foaming agent. Upon the water absorption treatment material absorbing a liquid, gas bubbles are produced in the granule as a result of a reaction of the foaming agent, and the granule collapses.
WATER ABSORPTION TREATMENT MATERIAL
The present invention provides a water absorption treatment material that has a structure suitable for obtaining a high level of water disintegrability. A water absorption treatment material is a water absorption treatment material that absorbs a liquid, and includes a granular core portion and a coating layer portion. The granular core portion has a granular shape. The granular core portion contains a first water-absorbent polymer. The coating layer portion covers the granular core portion. The coating layer portion contains a second water-absorbent polymer. The second water-absorbent polymer has a mean particle size smaller than the mean particle size of the first water-absorbent polymer.
Disposable absorbent article with unitary topsheet and unitary absorbent article

Absorbent core with curved channel-forming areas
A substantially planar absorbent core includes a core wrap enclosing an absorbent material that is substantially free of cellulose fibers and forms a pattern of discrete absorbent material areas. The core further comprises at least a pair of curved longitudinally-extending channel-forming areas substantially free of absorbent material, through which the top side of the core wrap is attached to the bottom side of the core wrap along a core wrap bond. Each of the longitudinally-extending channel-forming areas are longitudinally flanked internally by a first flanking absorbent material area and externally by a second flanking absorbent material area, the first and second flanking absorbent material areas following the curvature of the channel-forming area.
Tampon with wicking member adapted for improved manufacturability and wicking performance
The disclosed tampon may include a pledget having a rearward end; a wicking member having a trailing portion trailing the rearward end and having a rearward edge; and a withdrawal cord with an attached portion attached to the pledget and a free portion trailing the rearward edge. In an opened condition the pledget has a pair of side edges and a pledget width, and includes fibrous absorbent material and an outer cover of a first section of nonwoven web at least partially covering the absorbent material, the trailing portion of the wicking member including at least four layers of nonwoven web, at least one of which is an extension of the first section of nonwoven web. The wicking member may have a width substantially equal to the pledget width; and the trailing portion may have a length of at least about 10 mm and no greater than about 60 mm.
ABSORBENT CORE AND ABSORBENT ARTICLE COMPRISING THE SAME
The present invention is directed to an absorbent core for use in an absorbent article and an absorbent article comprising the same, the absorbent core comprising a liquid-permeable top cover layer; a bottom cover layer; and an absorbent layer disposed between the top cover layer and the bottom cover layer, the absorbent layer comprising superabsorbent polymer particles; and wherein the top cover layer comprises pulp, and has an MD tensile strength at least about 12N, wherein the top cover layer has a first MD wicking length at 3 min, and the bottom cover layer has a second MD wicking length at 3 min as measured according to Wicking Length Test, wherein the first MD wicking length is at least about 70 mm, and at least about 3 times the second MD wicking length.
