The disclosure relates to compositions comprising (a) at least one negatively charged amino acid and a derivative thereof, (b) at least one positively charged amino acid and a derivative thereof, (c) at least one silicone copolymer, and (d) at least one emulsifier. The disclosure also relates to packaging systems and kits comprising the compositions, and methods of using the compositions.

An object of the present invention is to provide, regarding a composition containing a nanodisc composed of a silicone-based surfactant, a nanodisc-containing composition having an improved stability of an emulsion composition.

For achieving the object, provided is an oil-in-water emulsion composition containing (A) an aqueous phase, (B) an oil phase, and (C) polyoxyalkylene-modified silicone. When the oil-in-water emulsion composition contains 1 to 35% by mass in total of ethyl alcohol and dipropylene glycol in (A) the aqueous phase, 1 to 50% by mass of (B) the oil phase, and 0.2 to 5% by mass of (C) based on the whole composition, a nanodisc is formed and the emulsion state is stable.

An object of the present invention is to provide, regarding a composition containing a nanodisc composed of a silicone-based surfactant, a nanodisc-containing composition having an improved stability of an emulsion composition.

For achieving the object, provided is an oil-in-water emulsion composition containing (A) an aqueous phase, (B) an oil phase, and (C) polyoxyalkylene-modified silicone. When the oil-in-water emulsion composition contains 1 to 35% by mass in total of ethyl alcohol and dipropylene glycol in (A) the aqueous phase, 1 to 50% by mass of (B) the oil phase, and 0.2 to 5% by mass of (C) based on the whole composition, a nanodisc is formed and the emulsion state is stable.

A process for dyeing or coloring keratin material, in particular human hair, using a C.sub.1-C.sub.6 organic alkoxysilane and an acidifying agent, is disclosed. The process comprises applying on the keratinous material a first composition (A), and a second composition (B). The first composition (A) comprises (A1) one or more organic C.sub.1-C.sub.6 alkoxysilanes and/or condensation products thereof, and (A2) at least one colorant compound selected from the group of pigments and direct dyes. The second composition (B) comprises (B1) at least one acidifying agent. A kit-of-parts for use in carrying out the process is also disclosed.

The present invention relates to a cosmetic composition comprising a) one or more polyhydroxyalkanoate (PHA) copolymers which contain, and preferably consist of, at least two different repeating polymer units chosen from the units (A) and (B) below, and also the optical or geometrical isomers thereof, the organic or mineral acid or base salts thereof, and the solvates thereof such as hydrates: -[-0-CH(R.sup.1)—CH.sub.2—C(0)-]- unit (A) -[-0-CH(R.sup.2)—CH.sub.2—C(0)-]- unit (B) in which polymer units (A) and (B): —R.sup.1 represents a hydrocarbon-based chain chosen from i) linear or branched (C.sub.5-C.sub.28)alkyl, ii) linear or branched (C.sub.6-C.sub.28)alkenyl, iii) linear or branched (C.sub.6-C.sub.28)alkynyl; preferably, the hydrocarbon-based group is linear; said hydrocarbon-based chain being optionally substituted and/or interrupted with atoms or groups as described in the description; —R.sup.2 represents a cyclic or non-cyclic, linear or branched, saturated or unsaturated hydrocarbon-based group, comprising from 3 to 30 carbon atoms; and b) one or more surfactants; it being understood that (A) is different from (B).

The present invention relates to a cosmetic composition comprising a) one or more polyhydroxyalkanoate (PHA) copolymers which contain, and preferably consist of, at least two different repeating polymer units chosen from the units (A) and (B) below, and also the optical or geometrical isomers thereof, the organic or mineral acid or base salts thereof, and the solvates thereof such as hydrates: -[-0-CH(R.sup.1)—CH.sub.2—C(0)-]- unit (A) -[-0-CH(R.sup.2)—CH.sub.2—C(0)-]- unit (B) in which polymer units (A) and (B): —R.sup.1 represents a hydrocarbon-based chain chosen from i) linear or branched (C.sub.5-C.sub.28)alkyl, ii) linear or branched (C.sub.6-C.sub.28)alkenyl, iii) linear or branched (C.sub.6-C.sub.28)alkynyl; preferably, the hydrocarbon-based group is linear; said hydrocarbon-based chain being optionally substituted and/or interrupted with atoms or groups as described in the description; —R.sup.2 represents a cyclic or non-cyclic, linear or branched, saturated or unsaturated hydrocarbon-based group, comprising from 3 to 30 carbon atoms; and b) one or more surfactants; it being understood that (A) is different from (B).

The invention relates to a cosmetic composition comprising one or more polymers comprising one or more cationic or quaternized acrylamide and/or methacrylamide unit(s); a particular oil-in-water-type silicone emulsion; one or more surfactants; and optionally one or more direct dye(s)/pigment(s). The invention also relates a cosmetic process for washing and/or condition keratin fibres using said cosmetic composition.
