There is provided a method of manufacture of a hair brush. The method has the steps, in the sequence of, i) forming a base layer in the form of a mesh by way of a first molding step, the base layer defining an upper surface and a lower surface opposite the upper surface, made of a first material selected from a group consisting of polypropylene (PP), nylon, polyoxymethylene (POM) and thermoplastic elastomer (TPE), and including a plurality of recesses with apertures at the upper surface, ii) forming a substrate layer for supporting bristles of the hair brush by a second molding step of overmoulding a finishing layer over the base layer, the finishing layer made of a second material; iii) installing the bristles to the substrate layer at the recesses through the apertures; and iv) assembling the substrate layer installed with the bristles to a casing of the hair brush.

A method for manufacturing a brushing part including the following steps: providing the support, pierced with through-holes, passing through the channel formed by the support; forming the tuft of bristles, by assembling a plurality of bristles by one end opposite the free end, so as to form a base of the tuft, so that a diameter of a section of the tuft, in a plane transverse to a direction of extension of the tuft, is greater than a diameter of a through-hole; merging the ends forming the base of the at least one tuft so that an extension of the merged zone in a direction transverse to the direction of extension of the at least one tuft is greater than an extension of the base in the transverse direction before the merging step; inserting the one tuft by force into one of the holes of the channel of the support, depositing glue and filling with resin.

Strip Brush Assembly Having Metal and Polymer Bristles and Method of Making

A strip brush assembly with a plurality of elongated polymer bristles forming a section and a plurality of elongated metal bristles forming another section adjacent the polymer bristles section, such that the metal bristles section is supported by the polymer bristles section. The polymer and metal bristles are bonded and encapsulated in a base formed by direct extrusion onto and around the polymer and metal bristles to secure them to the formed base. The strip brush assembly may be used on a tubular mandrel of a street sweeper.

A toothbrush having a brush body and a bristle carrier that is produced from a hard material using an injection molding method and having injection-molded bristles that protrude from the bristle carrier. The injection molded bristles are produced from a bristle material using the injection molding method. The bristles have a bristle stem and the bristle carrier has a small carrier plate or is formed by the small carrier plate that is produced from a hard material using the injection molding method and fastened on the brush body. The hard material of the bristle carrier or the hard material of the small carrier plate is harder than the bristle material.

Toothbrush with injection-moulded bristles and method and apparatus for producing the same

The brush according to the invention has a bristle carrier, which is produced by injection molding, and bristles, which are produced from a bristle material likewise by injection molding. The bristle carrier is provided with at least one distributing channel for the bristle material. The bristles are formed integrally with the bristle material in the distribution channel.

Oral care implement

An oral care implement comprises a head and a handle, the head being repeatedly attachable to and detachable from the handle. The head is made from a non-magnetic and/or non-ferromagnetic material, while the handle is at least partially made from a magnetic and/or ferromagnetic material.

CARRIER PLATE AND BRUSH, IN PARTICULAR TOOTHBRUSH WITH CARRIER PLATE

The method for manufacturing bristle arrangements for brushes, and the device (1), the carrier pad (17), and the brush (60) which is populated with a carrier pad (17) of this type, enable simplification of the manufacture of bristle arrangements for brushes, inter alia in that the bristle bundles (5) which by means of a gas or air stream are conveyed through the conveying device (6) to the bundle-retaining plate (9) when being conveyed through the conveying device (6) are electrostatically discharged, such that they may be more easily conveyed through the conveying device (6), and in that they reduce the complexity in the fastening of bristle bundles (5) in a carrier pad (17) without anchoring, since the carrier pad (17) on the rear side has material protrusions (54) which are fused and thereafter interference-fitted in a bundle-fastening plane, in order for bristle bundles (5, 5a) which have been incorporated into the perforations (24) of the carrier pad (17) to be connected in a form-fitting and/or force-fitting manner to the carrier pad (17) in a simple manner (FIG. 3).
