Medicament delivery device
The present invention relates to a medicament delivery device that is reliable, safe and intuitive to use and configured to prevent a subsequent does from being administered before a previously initialized dose has been fully delivered. This is accomplished by mechanically interacting structures arranged as an interface between a lockable delivery button and a release member.
Automatic Injection Device With Variable Dosing
A medication delivery device, for use with a container having a distal end and a needle being placed at the distal end of the container, including: a push rod which is movable with respect to at least a portion of the container; a resilient member configured to bias the push rod to move toward the distal end of the container; a releasable restraining means configured to releasably restrain the push rod in a locked state against the biasing of the resilient member; a means to adjust amount of movement of the push rod with respect to the container in order to deliver a predetermined dose of medication; and an activation means configured to release the releasable means. The means to adjust amount of movement of the push rod with respect to the container is bi-directional. The device can accommodate containers of different size or shape.
Device for medicament delivery with syringe-like usability having a locking mechanism
Device for medicament delivery with syringe-like usability having a locking mechanism. A device for medicament delivery with syringe-like usability with at least one grip (30), at least one plunger rod (20) being substantially rotationally fixed relatively to the grip, and at least one locking mechanism (17) configured to substantially inhibit movement of the plunger rod in a longitudinal direction of the device for dose delivery when being in at least one locking position. The locking mechanism comprises at least one rotatable part (40) that is substantially fixed in a longitudinal direction, that is rotatable relatively to the grip, and that interacts with the plunger rod. The device comprises at least one indicator drum (60).
Auto-injector with active agent container latching
In an elongated casing, an active agent container connected to an injection needle can be shifted axially by a spring force. Auto-injectors distributed pre-filled and with the springs tensed may be provided with a needle protecting cap to ensure sterility of the needle. When the needle protecting cap is removed as preparation for using the auto-injector, a tensile force can be exerted on the active agent container. Therefore, the active agent container and needle must be prevented from being undesirably pulled forwards. At least one latching tongue prevents the active agent container from being prematurely shifted with respect to the casing, by abutting a flange arranged on a sliding sleeve accommodating the active agent container. When the auto-injector is placed onto the skin, a needle protecting tube is shifted into the casing, forcing the latching tongue away from the flange, thereby freeing the travel path for needle movement.
LOW CONCENTRATION DELIVERY OF AN ERGOLINE DERIVATIVE FOR TREATMENT OF A HEADACHE
Provided are ergoline derivative containing medicaments disposed within a preassembled, prefilled, single-use delivery device, methods for administering a medicament using a preassembled, prefilled, single-use delivery device, and systems or kits that contain one or more preassembled, prefilled, single-use devices and user instructions, such as for treatment of a migraine or other headache.
Auto-Injector with Pivoting Trigger
A resettable and reusable auto-injector with a trigger having a pivot axis dividing an elongate body into distal and proximal portions. The proximal portion has a finger surface on an upper section and a bearing surface projecting downwardly configured to engage a button blocker to function as a safety feature to prevent premature firing of the auto-injector before a needle hider is pressed against an injection site.
THERMAL LOCKING MECHANISM FOR A MEDICATION DELIVERY DEVICE
A medication injection device (2) includes a housing (4) and a needled syringe (8) supported by the housing. The needle syringe has a plunger (10) and a volume containing medication. The medication injection device further includes an expelling mechanism (6) operably coupled to the plunger. Additionally, the device includes a thermal locking mechanism (20) operably coupled to the expelling mechanism, comprising a material which is solid when the device is refrigerated and transitions to a liquid or gel-like state at a phase-change temperature when the device is taken out of refrigeration and warms up together with the contained drug to a temperature which is suitable for performing an injection. In the solid state, the material keeps the expelling mechanism locked in a disabling condition inhibiting delivery of the medication and in its liquid state creates an enabling condition permitting delivery of the medication.
Injection apparatus
An injection apparatus includes a counter wheel that is incremented by the dose delivery mechanism each time the device is fired. The apparatus includes a final dose disabling mechanism that prevents further usage once the final dose has been delivered. An anti-tamper feature is provided to prevent inadvertent or premature initialisation of the apparatus.
ADMINISTRATION INSTRUMENT FOR MEDICAL USE
An administration instrument includes an injection button which can be pressed at an angle that is not parallel to a needle with respect to a direction in which the needle is inserted into skin. As a result, it is possible to prevent a force of pressing the injection button from being transmitted in the direction in which the needle is inserted into the skin deeper than initial insertion of the needle, thereby achieving an administration under a stable state.
MEDICATION DELIVERY DEVICE WITH GEAR SET DOSAGE SYSTEM
A medication delivery device is disclosed including a rack-and-pinion plunger drive system. The drive system includes an output drive having a pawled end movably coupled with the ratchet teeth of the plunger, and a pinion drive coupled between the housing, the output drive and an actuator. Actuator is longitudinally movable between dose set and delivery positions. Movement of the actuator causes rotation of the pinion drive along the rack to translate the output drive member with the pawled end that is engaged with the plunger ratchet teeth to distally advance the plunger. The device may include one or more of an end of dose mechanism to limit travel of the actuator, a load brake system to stop travel of the plunger under high input forces, a dose detection system, and a dose selector to vary the amount of dose set.
