AUTO INJECTOR WITH CASSETTE
A cassette for use in an auto injector for administering a medicament, the cassette comprises a syringe compartment containing the medicament; a hollow needle in fluid connection with the syringe compartment; a rigid needle shield connected to the syringe compartment and covering the hollow needle; a stopper movable inside the syringe compartment; a syringe holder extending around at least part of the syringe compartment; a rigid needle shield holder having a first part positioned between the rigid needle shield and the proximal end of the syringe compartment, and a cassette skin sensor. Also disclosed is the auto injector.
Electrically powered needleless injector
The present utility model provides an electrically powered needle-free injector (100), comprising: a needle-free injector body (120); and a needle-free injection end (130) extending distally from the needle-free injector body (120) for medicine administration, the needle-free injector body (120) comprises: a housing (3), an inside of which is divided into a pressurized injection chamber (123) and a motor chamber (124); a pressurized injection assembly (170) disposed within the pressurized injection chamber (123); a needle-free injector locking mechanism (180) at least partially disposed within the pressurized injection chamber; and a motor assembly (190) disposed within the motor chamber (124). The present utility model has a beneficial effect that it may provide a power source for the needle-free injector to electrically take medicine and inject by a built-in motor; it works reliably, is used conveniently, and has a small size.
MULTI-DOSE DISPENSER
Multi-dose dispenser comprising: a product reservoir (14), on the X-axis, opening at a distal end through an outlet orifice and comprising a barrel (24); a piston (20) comprising a piston rod (38) having a rack and, at a distal end of the piston rod, a piston head (34) slidably mounted in the barrel (24) along the X-axis; a pawl mounted so as to be movable along the X-axis relative to the reservoir and configured to cooperate with the rack so as to drive the piston along the X-axis only in a forward direction of the piston in the barrel; a spring arranged to push the pawl back along the X-axis in a reverse direction; a case containing the pawl and at least a part of the piston; and a check valve arranged to seal the outlet orifice and allow only an outlet of product from the reservoir.
Micro-infusion device and infusion set
Systems and methods of micro-infusion of medical fluids are disclosed. Micro-infusion systems may include a pump, a patient interface, tubing between the pump and the interface, and a micro-infusion device along the tubing. A first portion of the tubing above the micro-infusion device is longer than a second portion of the tubing below the device. The micro-infusion device may include a chamber in-line with the tubing, a first valve between the chamber and the first portion of the tubing, a second valve between the chamber and the second portion of the tubing and a third valve between the chamber and a dump chamber. The second valve may be slidably disposed within the chamber. A medical fluid may be provided into the chamber that slides the second valve displacing another fluid in the chamber through the third valve into the dump chamber.
SMALL UNIT DOSAGE PLUNGER ROD STOPS
Plunger rod stops attach to existing syringes to limit the range of motion of the plunger, thereby to precisely control the amount of liquid that can be expelled from the syringe when the plunger rod stop is in place. In some embodiments, plunger rod stop devices generally include a body configured to attach to the plunger, and a stand-off extending from the body, configured to contact the finger flange when the plunger is depressed. In other embodiments, the plunger rod stop attaches to the finger flange or other fixed component of the syringe and the stand-off is configured to contact the plunger or plunger rod. Methods of the invention involve using the devices to interfere with the range of motion of the plunger, then reconfiguring or removing the device to allow the plunger to be moved a predetermined length, which corresponds to a precise dosage amount.
Injector lockout prevention device
A device that prevents the accidental activation and lockout of an autoinjector. In illustrative embodiments, a resistance unit is configured to resist deployment of the needle until a critical force is applied by the user to the autoinjector, at which point, the resistance of the resistance unit is overcome. Continuous application of force by the user after the resistance is overcome drives the delivery device to the injection site where the medication is administered.
Auto-injector
An auto-injector for delivering a liquid medicament comprising: a housing arranged to contain a syringe and a piston for sealing the syringe and displacing the medicament, the housing having a proximal end and a distal end intended to be applied against an injection site, wherein the syringe comprises: a plurality of plunger elements arranged along a length of the syringe between the proximal end of the housing and the piston, each of the plurality of plunger elements having a longitudinal axis; and a cord arranged to connect the plurality of plunger elements, wherein the plunger elements are configured to become aligned along their axes to push the piston towards the distal end to displace the medicament when the cord is acted on by a driving force.
Fluid dispensing device
A fluid dispensing device having a barrel having a lumen for containing a fluid therein and a flexible structure extending from the barrel. A plunger is axially slidable within the lumen to dispense fluid from the barrel, the plunger having a first set of grooves spaced apart a first distance and a second set of grooves spaced apart a second distance. The flexible structure includes a flexible arm extending transversely with respect to the barrel and configured to engage the grooves.
Systems, kits and methods for loading and delivering a small volume dose from a syringe
A kit is disclosed for accurately loading a small volume dose of a medication within a syringe and for delivering the small volume dose of the medication at a treatment site. The kit generally includes a loading and delivery system in accordance herewith, a syringe, and a medication. The loading and delivery system includes a syringe delivery ring and a syringe loading guide, which may be used for example, to administer a small volume dose of a medication at the end of an ocular surgery.
DOSE DELIVERY MECHANISM AND METHOD FOR PROVIDING A DOSE DELIVERY MECHANISM
A dose delivery mechanism includes a housing, a piston rod that acts on a plunger sealing a fluid compartment and moves in an axial direction relative to the housing to deliver a set dose, and a dose setting member that is movable relative to the housing during dose setting. A position of the dose setting member relative to the housing defines the set dose, and in an as-delivered condition the dose setting member is preset to a position that corresponds to a set dose higher than zero.
