MEDICAMENT DELIVERY DEVICE WITH PIEZOELECTRIC ACTUATING SYSTEM
An actuating system for a medicament delivery device is disclosed. The actuating system includes a first clamp arranged around a plunger of the medicament delivery device for selectively retaining and releasing the plunger. A piezoelectric actuator is coupled to the first clamp for moving the plunger via a plurality of consecutive steps. An electric controller is configured for controlling the piezoelectric actuator and the first clamp independently to coordinate the moving of the plunger.
Drive Mechanisms Suitable for Use in Drug Delivery Devices
A drive mechanism suitable for use in drug delivery devices is disclosed. The drive mechanism may be used with injector-type drug delivery devices, such as those permitting a user to set the delivery dose. The drive mechanism may include a housing, a dose dial sleeve, and a drive sleeve. A clutch is configured to permit rotation of the drive sleeve and the dose dial sleeve with respect to the housing when the dose dial sleeve and drive sleeve are coupled through the clutch. Conversely, when the dose dial sleeve and drive sleeve are in a de-coupled state, rotation of the dose dial sleeve with respect to the housing is permitted and rotation of the drive sleeve with respect to the housing is prevented. In the de-coupled state, axial movement of the drive sleeve transfers force in a longitudinal direction for actuation of a drug delivery device.
Spring driven injector apparatus with needle insertion
An injection device is disclosed which comprises a housing (140, 240, 440, 740) for a plurality of cartridges (110,310,410,810) each containing a medicament to be administered to a patient. A plurality of needles (120, 220, 320, 420, 720, 820) may be provided in communication with the plurality of cartridges. A delivery mechanism is arranged to deliver medicament through the plurality of cartridges via the plurality of needles. An injection device may comprise a drive member (130) having a cam surface (136) configured to engage a surface of a carrier (150) and rotate the carrier about a pivot (152) and at least one plunger (134) arranged to engage a cylinder in the cartridge.
Syringe adapter with concentric rings
An adapter for use with a syringe and a power injector includes an outer ring having a first end configured for passage of an end of a syringe having at least one flange. An inner ring is disposed coaxially within the outer ring. The inner ring has a first end including at least one flange slot. A magnet fixed relative to the inner ring such that when the syringe end is disposed in the outer ring and the at least one flange engages the at least one flange slot, rotation of the syringe causes rotation of the inner ring and magnet relative to the outer ring.
Small unit dosage plunger rod stops
Plunger rod stops attach to existing syringes to limit the range of motion of the plunger, thereby to precisely control the amount of liquid that can be expelled from the syringe when the plunger rod stop is in place. In some embodiments, plunger rod stop devices generally include a body configured to attach to the plunger, and a stand-off extending from the body, configured to contact the finger flange when the plunger is depressed. In other embodiments, the plunger rod stop attaches to the finger flange or other fixed component of the syringe and the stand-off is configured to contact the plunger or plunger rod. Methods of the invention involve using the devices to interfere with the range of motion of the plunger, then reconfiguring or removing the device to allow the plunger to be moved a predetermined length, which corresponds to a precise dosage amount.
Drug Delivery Device
The disclosure relates to a drug delivery device including a plunger disposed within a case and an audible indicator that comprises a resilient element. The plunger is slidable from a proximal position to a distal position within the case and the resilient element is in a first configuration when the plunger is in the proximal position, such that the resilient element is deflected radially outwards to a second configuration during movement of the plunger from the proximal position towards the distal position. The resilient element moves from the second configuration towards the first configuration when the plunger moves towards or reaches the distal position, thereby generating an audible and tactile signal.
AUTO DISABLE PREFILLED SYRINGE WITH PLUNGER ROD SPRING
The present invention discloses a plunger rod (104) for use in connection with an injection syringe barrel (102). The plunger rod (104) comprises an elongated rod (114). The elongated rod (114) comprises a proximal end (107) adapted to receive an applied force along an axis (1000). It further comprises a distal end (105) adapted to transmit the applied force along the axis (1000). The plunger rod (104) is adapted to be inserted into a barrel (102) of a syringe (100) extending along the axis (1000). The plunger rod (104) is further adapted to transmit force along the axis (1000) to a plunger stopper (103) disposed within the barrel (102). The plunger rod (104) further comprises a radial spring mechanism (106, 117, 118, 119, 120), adapted to interact with an inner surface of the barrel (102).
STRETCHABLE PLUNGER ASSEMBLIES
Disclosed are plunger assemblies which include a plunger sleeve, a plunger rod and an axial protrusion disposed within an inner cavity of the plunger sleeve. Application of a distal force onto the plunger via the plunger rod causes the axial protrusion to contact and apply pressure to an engagement surface in the inner cavity. The engagement surface is configured to receive distal force from the end of the axial protrusion. This causes the plunger to elongate and slightly constrict, thus reducing break loose force and facilitating transition from storage mode to dispensing mode of the plunger.
INTRAVITREAL INJECTOR
Provided herein are needle assemblies for intravitreal injection of an implant into an eye of a patient through an unsheathed state and a sheathed state. Such needle assemblies are precise and accurate for proper treatment and prevent further damage to the eye.
MEAT INJECTION DEVICE WITH A SELF-ADJUSTING POSITION REFERENCE AND AUTOMATIC REFILL
An automatic injection control device injects fluid at a rate directly related to the displacement rate of the device body from a held positioning member. The device has a syringe end, a gripping end, a syringe barrel coupled to the body and a refillable reservoir and at least one directional valve at the syringe end of the body. The directional valves permitting refilling of the refillable reservoir without removing the syringe barrel. Also, a transmission system is coupled to the body, as well as the positioning member, a syringe plunging member, and a gearing mechanism linking the positioning member to the syringe plunging member. The device is designed so that when the positioning member is held in a fixed extended position and the body is pulled by the gripping end, the transmission system provides a one-way motion of the syringe plunging member to precisely inject fluid from the device.
