INJECTOR LOCKOUT PREVENTION DEVICE
20170290990 · 2017-10-12 · ·

A device that prevents the accidental activation and lockout of an autoinjector. In illustrative embodiments, a resistance unit is configured to resist deployment of the needle until a critical force is applied by the user to the autoinjector, at which point, the resistance of the resistance unit is overcome. Continuous application of force by the user after the resistance is overcome drives the delivery device to the injection site where the medication is administered.

Apparatus and method for injecting fluid into a subject includes a fluid injecting portable communication device case. The fluid injecting portable communication device case has a communication device portion. The communication device portion has a device recess that is configured to removably hold at least a portion of a portable communication device therein. A fluid injection portion has at least two fluid injection stations. Each fluid injection station is configured to interact with a fluid injector assembly, a removable trigger block, and a removable needle cover. Each fluid injector assembly includes a trigger, a firing mechanism, a plunger, and a needle.

DEVICE FOR ADMINISTERING A FLUID

A device for administering a fluid can include a cylinder, a piston connected to a piston rod, and a tensioning device connected to the piston rod. In a dispensing procedure a ramp track is rotated until the roller runs over a transfer region and is accelerated toward the first plateau and, as a result, the piston is moved toward an open dispensing end. A motor is connected to the ramp via a coupling. To rotate the ramp, the coupling transmits torque provided by the motor in the first rotation direction and, in the process, provides a freewheel counter to the first rotation direction. The freewheel is configured such that it covers at least a rotation angle range which corresponds to the transfer region.

SPACE SAVING DRUG INJECTION DEVICE

The present disclosure relates to an injection device for setting and dispensing of a dose of a medicament, the device including an elongated housing to accommodate a cartridge filled with the medicament and sealed with a piston, a piston rod extending along a first axis and being threadedly or slidingly engaged with the housing to apply a distally directed thrust to the piston of the cartridge, a drive member rotationally or threadedly engaged with the piston rod and having a wheel section or geared section, and a drive sleeve extending along a second axis at a radial distance from the first axis and having a geared section to mesh with the wheel section or geared section of the drive member, wherein a first radial distance between first and second axes at a distal end of the drive sleeve differs from a second radial distance between first and second axes at a proximal end of the drive sleeve.

SINGLE HAND INJECTION CONTROL DEVICE WITH A SELF-ADJUSTING POSITION REFERENCE
20170258507 · 2017-09-14 ·

A single hand operable injection control device (ICD) automatically injects material into a subject tissue at a rate controllably proportional to the rate of movement of the syringe. Squeezing the figure holds rotates a transmission/timing belt that is connected to a position reference member/guide that pushes against the subject tissue, causing the ICD body (containing the syringe) to push away from the subject tissue. The timing belt turns a worm gear that drives a syringe plunger into the syringe held by the ICD. The coordinated motions result in precise delivery of a unit volume/region of injectate into the subject. That is, a uniform “tube” of injectate is automatically laid in the cannula track.

Selectable dose injection device

A substance delivery device for delivering a substance from a container includes a body, and a plunger movable with respect to the body so as to expel at least a portion of a substance from the container, a trigger mechanism, a latch member latched in a stationary position at least along the longitudinal axis of the device before use, and a lockout shroud movable along the longitudinal axis relative to the latch mechanism. User manipulation of the trigger mechanism causes the latch mechanism to become unlatched and move along the longitudinal axis and to cause movement of a plunger relative to the body, and in a first position of the lockout shroud along the longitudinal axis relative to the latch member, the lockout shroud prevents the trigger mechanism from unlatching the latch member, whereas in a second position the lockout shroud allows the trigger mechanism to unlatch the latch member.

AUTO INJECTOR WITH EFFECTIVE INSERTION SYSTEM

An auto injector for delivery of administering a medicament comprising: a housing; an electrical motor adapted to move a piston between proximal and distal positions in a longitudinal direction of the auto injector; a syringe holder extending from a proximal to a distal end and configured to receive a syringe, a first spring adapted for moving the syringe holder with the syringe proximally for insertion of the needle; wherein the electrical motor is the only motor in the auto injector.

PASSIVE INJECTION DEVICE WITH AUTOMATIC SECURING MEANS

Disclosed is an injection device of the type including a cylindrical body enclosing a reservoir containing a product to be injected, which is slidably mounted in the body, which is open at one end on an injection needle and is closed at its other end by a plunger mounted movable in translation in the reservoir under the action of a plunger rod provided with a control member, the surface of the distal end of the body being coated with adhesive capable of ensuring that this surface is held on the skin of a patient. This device is characterized in that it includes a mechanism for securing the needle, the activation of which is ensured by the adhesive when a withdrawal effort is exerted on the injection device.

Drive mechanisms suitable for use in drug delivery devices

A drive mechanism suitable for use in drug delivery devices is disclosed. The drive mechanism may be used with injector-type drug delivery devices, such as those permitting a user to set the delivery dose. The drive mechanism may include a housing, a dose dial sleeve, and a drive sleeve. A clutch is configured to permit rotation of the drive sleeve and the dose dial sleeve with respect to the housing when the dose dial sleeve and drive sleeve are coupled through the clutch. Conversely, when the dose dial sleeve and drive sleeve are in a de-coupled state, rotation of the dose dial sleeve with respect to the housing is permitted and rotation of the drive sleeve with respect to the housing is prevented. In the de-coupled state, axial movement of the drive sleeve transfers force in a longitudinal direction for actuation of a drug delivery device.
