Dose divider syringe
A syringe includes a barrel having an internal surface defining an internal bore therein; a plunger having a distal end disposed within the internal bore of the barrel, and a proximal end disposed outside the internal bore of the barrel; and a dose divider configured to bear on the barrel in response to translation of the plunger relative to the barrel along the longitudinal direction. The dose divider includes a base including a flange that extends at least partly in a radial direction; and at least one column extending away from the base along the longitudinal direction. The at least one column includes a proximal end and a distal end opposite the proximal end, the proximal end of the at least one column being coupled to the base. The at least one column includes a sacrificial portion coupled to a frangible link.
SENSOR ASSEMBLY WITH IDENTIFIER DETERMINATION
A combination assembly comprising a process assembly and a thereto attachable sensor assembly is provided. The process assembly comprises an indicator element and a type identifier. The indicator element is arranged to rotate relative to a reference component and corresponding to a reference axis. The sensor assembly comprises a first sensor adapted to detect a rotational position and/or rotational movement of the indicator element, a second sensor adapted to detect a type identifier, an energy source, and a switch actuatable between an off state and an on state in which an operational cycle is initiated. The first sensor is operated to detect an amount of rotational movement performed by the indicator element, and the second sensor is operated to detect a type identifier. During an operational cycle the first and the second sensor are operated sequentially to prevent that peak draws of resources from the sensors take place concurrently.
APPARATUSES AND METHOD FOR INJECTING MEDICAMENTS
An injector for delivering medicament includes a first sleeve defining a longitudinal axis, a medicament container, and a locking tab. The medicament container is at least partially disposed within the first sleeve and configured for axial translation with respect to the first sleeve along the longitudinal axis. The medicament container includes a barrel, a needle mounted to a distal end of the barrel, a seal slidably mounted in the barrel, and a plunger rod. The locking tab extends through an aperture in the first sleeve and is in contact with or adjacent to a portion of the medicament container such that the locking tab restricts translation of the barrel with respect to the first sleeve along the longitudinal axis. The locking tab is configured to be movable to a second position in which the locking tab does not restrict translation of the barrel.
EMERGENCY DEVICES
Described herein are syringe devices comprising a syringe including a therapeutic dose of at least one drug to be used in a drug or substance overdose. Also provided herein are compositions and methods of treating opioid overdose using high dose naloxone.
DOSE SETTING MECHANISM AND METHOD OF LOCKING AN INJECTION PEN
A dose setting mechanism configured to set a desired dose for an injection device, the dose setting mechanism includes a housing, a dose setting knob, a dose setting device and a coupling element. The dose setting knob is configured to set the desired dose by a compulsory guided combined axial and rotational movement of the dose setting knob relative to the housing. Upon drug delivery, the dose setting knob is moved axially relative to the dose setting device or the housing and the coupling element is configured to engage at least one of the dose setting device and the housing to thereby permanently axially lock the dose setting knob to the respective one of the dose setting device and the housing.
Vial transfer and injection apparatus and method
Drug delivery system, injection device, transfer apparatus, vial holder and method of administering and transferring are disclosed. The system may include transfer apparatus and an injection device. The transfer apparatus may have receiving stations for a drug source, such as a vial or vial holder, and for an injection device, and fluid flow pathways for transferring drugs from the source into the injection device. The injection device may include an expandable elastic bladder and an injection cannula that is movable between a plurality of positions.
ASSISTIVE DEVICE FOR USE WITH A SYRINGE
An assistive device for use with a syringe comprises a housing for accommodating the syringe, a dispense member to be moved in a distal direction for dispensing a medicament from the syringe and a needle guard for covering a needle of the syringe before operation of the device. The dispense member comprises a first locking device and the housing comprises a second locking device for locking the dispense member to the housing when the needle guard in is a distal position, such that a movement of the dispense member in the distal direction is prevented.
NOVEL COMPOSITE SAFETY SELF-DESTRUCTING SYRINGE
The invention discloses a novel composite safety self-destructing syringe, comprising cylinder, rod, ring, and needle hub; the cylinder comprises standard and widened wide sections; the inner wall width of the widened section is larger; the widened section is disposed on the top of the cylinder, and the standard section has a fixing groove; the rod is movably connected in the cylinder, and the bottom thereof is mated with the inner wall of the cylinder; the rod inside has a cavity, and a spring sleeve is disposed at the lower of the cavity. The fixing groove can mate with the convex reinforcement to achieve a good fixing effect. The rod has two different widths, making the sealing ring and the sealing rubber difficult to be rebounded. The exhaust hole is for labor-saving and facilitating retracting the syringe needle. The engagement block can better ensure the stability of the spring sleeve.
Wearable Auto Injector
An auto-injection system is having an injector, one or more sensors, and a controller, the controller activates the injector when the sensors detect a predetermined condition.
RECEPTACLE FOR PHARMACEUTICAL PACKAGING WITH A THICKNESS PROFILE FOR A LUBRICANT LAYER
A receptacle includes: an elongate barrel section with an axial position p determined along an axis, the elongate barrel section extending from an axial position pA to an axial position pB; a side wall extending over the elongate barrel section and having an inner surface bordering an interior with a diameter; and a layer of a lubricant located on at least a part of the inner surface, a portion of the axis extends from a first axial position p1 to a second axial position p2; a mean thickness of the layer is determined in the portion; a position pm is the midpoint between p1 and p2; TA is a mean thickness of the layer for a section from p1 to pm; TB is a mean thickness of the layer for a section from pm to p2; a ratio TA:TB is in a range from 5:1 to 1:5.
