ANTI-ROTATION MECHANISM FOR TELESCOPIC SCREW ASSEMBLY
An injection assembly includes a housing with a barrel positioned within the housing. The barrel includes an axis extending from a proximal end to a distal end thereof and a chamber for storing medicine. An elongate anti-rotation shaft is rotationally fixed to the housing and has a non-circular cross-section. The injection assembly includes an inner screw having an inner screw opening to complementarily receive the anti-rotation shaft to prevent rotation of the inner screw with respect to the anti-rotation shaft but allow respective linear translation along the axis. An outer screw is positioned within, and rotatable with respect to, the housing and has an outer screw opening to threadably receive the inner screw, wherein rotation of the outer screw translates the inner screw along the axis and along the anti-rotation shaft. A plunger is coupled to the distal end of the inner screw and is moveable with respect to the chamber to push the medicine out of the chamber when the outer screw is rotated.
ASSEMBLY FOR A MEDICATION DELIVERY DEVICE AND MEDICATION DELIVERY DEVICE
An assembly (47) for a medication delivery device (1) has a body (2), a dose setting part (8) configured to be operated by a user for selecting a size of a dose, a piston rod (13) configured to be moved axially without rotating for dispensing a medication, and a drive member (12) being directly coupled to the piston rod (13) for driving the piston rod (13) in a dose dispensing operation, wherein the drive member (12) moves in a proximal direction in the dose setting operation. The medication delivery device (1) into which the assembly is incorporated may be a single-shot, variable-dose injection device, e.g., a syringe.
MIX AND TRIGGERING ASSEMBLY FOR A MEDICAMENT DELIVERY DEVICE
A mix and triggering assembly for a medicament delivery device, comprising: a housing structure having a proximal end and a distal end, a delivery member cover, a rotator sleeve, and a triggering member configured to be rotatably locked with the rotator sleeve and the delivery member cover, the triggering member being configured to move axially relative to the rotator sleeve, wherein the delivery member cover, the rotator sleeve and the triggering member are configured to be received by the housing structure, the delivery member cover being configured to extend from the proximal end of the housing structure, wherein the delivery member cover, the rotator sleeve and the triggering member are rotatebly arranged relative to the housing structure, wherein the housing structure has a thread structure and the rotator sleeve and the triggering member are configured to be in a threaded connection with the thread structure in a ready to mix position of the triggering member, preventing irrotational axial movement of the triggering member relative to the housing structure towards the distal end of the housing structure, wherein rotation of the delivery member cover relative to the housing structure causes the rotator sleeve and the triggering member to be screwed from the ready to mix position towards the distal end of the housing structure until the triggering member reaches a dose setting position, in which the triggering member is configured to be released from engagement with the thread structure, enabling irrotational axial movement of the triggering member further towards the distal end of the housing structure.
EMERGENCY DEVICES
Described herein are syringe devices comprising a syringe including a therapeutic dose of at least one drug to be used in a drug or substance overdose. Also provided herein are compositions and methods of treating opioid overdose using high dose naloxone.
Auto-injector systems and method for delivering cyst medication on demand
An auto-injector device including a syringe, a needle arranged in the vicinity of a first end of the syringe, and a plunger arranged within the syringe. A volume within the syringe between the plunger the needle accommodates medicine, such that movement of the plunger toward the needle dispenses medicine through the needle. A selection assembly configurable by a user to adjust an amount of medicine dispensed by the auto-injector device and depth to which the medicine is delivered. Also, a method for treating a skin lesion or skin disorder utilizing the auto-injector and a kit for patient administered treatment.
Injector With Adjustable Dosing
An injector for injecting a medicament in a patient. The injector includes a container comprising a fluid chamber containing a first volume of a medicament, and an injection conduit associated with the fluid chamber for defining a fluid pathway therefrom to inject the medicament from the fluid chamber through the injection conduit to an injection location. The injector also includes a firing mechanism associated with the fluid chamber for expelling the medicament from the fluid chamber through the injection conduit, and a volume-control mechanism operable to control a fraction of the first volume of medicament that is injected when the firing mechanism is actuated to inject the medicament.
Ampule Autoinjector Systems and Methods
An autoinjector is described that includes an outer body, a first trigger, an output needle, and a first compartment. The first compartment is positioned within the outer body and includes (i) a main body, (ii) a first biasing member coupled to the first trigger, and (iii) a protrusion positioned at a distal end of the main body. The autoinjector further includes a second compartment positioned in the outer body and in fluid communication with the first compartment and the output needle. The autoinjector also includes a second biasing member coupled to a second trigger. The first biasing member is configured to, upon application of force to the first trigger, automatically move an ampule in a distal direction relative to the main body to force the ampule against the protrusion, so as to break the ampule and allow a medicament to flow from the ampule to the second compartment.
INJECTION DEVICE END OF DOSE INDICATOR
Disclosed is an injection device including a body for receiving a syringe, a firing mechanism including a reaction component, a plunger configured to be axially displaced in a forward direction relative to the reaction component, and a drive spring located between the reaction component and the plunger for driving the plunger forwards upon activation of the injection device, wherein the reaction component provides a reaction surface for the drive spring. The device further includes a locking mechanism for locking the reaction component in a first axial position within the body, the locking mechanism being configured to release the reaction component upon a predefined forward movement of the plunger thereby allowing the reaction component to be driven in a rearward axial direction by the drive spring until it impacts against the body or a component secured to the body to thereby emit an audible indication of an end of dose.
Drug injection device with resettable mechanism allowing piston rod retraction upon drug cartridge change
A drug delivery device for selecting and dispensing a number of user variable doses of a medicament. The device comprises a housing, a dose setting element rotatable relative to the housing during dose setting and dose dispensing, a drive member coupled to the dose setting member via a clutch, and a piston rod coupled to the housing and to the drive member Further, the device further comprises a cartridge holder removably attached to the housing and a reset element, which is permanently rotationally constrained to the housing and rotationally constrained to the drive member during dose setting, and at least one spring acting on the reset element, such that, if the cartridge holder is detached from the housing, the reset element is axially moved relative to the housing into a position in which the drive member is allowed to rotate relative to the housing.
