INJECTION DEVICE WITH DOSE SIZE ADJUSTER
The present disclosure relates to an injection device configured to expel a dose of a medicament, the injection device comprising: an elongated housing extending in a longitudinal direction, a piston rod movable relative to the housing in a longitudinal distal direction to exert a dispensing pressure onto a bung of a cartridge at least partially filled with an injectable medicament, a rod extension movably arranged on or in a distal end of the piston rod, a driver operably engaged with the piston rod and movable relative to the housing in a longitudinal proximal direction for setting of the dose and movable relative to the housing in the longitudinal distal direction for dispensing of the dose, and an adjuster arranged on or in the driver and operably engaged with the rod extension to move the rod extension in longitudinal direction relative to the piston rod.
Injection device end of dose indicator
Disclosed is an injection device including a body for receiving a syringe, a firing mechanism including a reaction component, a plunger configured to be axially displaced in a forward direction relative to the reaction component, and a drive spring located between the reaction component and the plunger for driving the plunger forwards upon activation of the injection device, wherein the reaction component provides a reaction surface for the drive spring. The device further includes a locking mechanism for locking the reaction component in a first axial position within the body, the locking mechanism being configured to release the reaction component upon a predefined forward movement of the plunger thereby allowing the reaction component to be driven in a rearward axial direction by the drive spring until it impacts against the body or a component secured to the body to thereby emit an audible indication of an end of dose.
Injection Device
A controlled multidosing delivery device for use with a syringe includes a housing, a plunger rod and a drive shell. The housing having an axially extending chamber including openings at either end, the distal end being adapted for attachment to the syringe barrel. The plunger rod includes a contact button at the proximal end of an elongated shaft and a pusher feature at the distal end. The drive shell is disposed for axial translation within the axially extending chamber. The drive shell includes a head disposed for translation along the axis to provide dose delivery, a plurality of engagement surfaces for engagement by the pushing feature, and a retention feature that inhibits proximal movement of the drive shell when engaged. Depression of the contact button axially translates the elongated shaft and pusher feature in engagement with the at least one of the engagement surfaces to translate the drive shell in the distal direction, whereby the retention feature engages to maintain axial position of the drive shell in the housing following dose delivery, and a biasing structure translates the plunger rod in the proximal direction following translation of the drive shell.
AUTO-INJECTOR WITH ACTUATION PREVENTION CAP
A drug delivery device includes a housing, a syringe assembly including a barrel, a stopper, and a cannula, with at least a portion of the syringe assembly positioned within the housing, a drive assembly configured to move the stopper within the barrel upon actuation of the drive assembly, with at least a portion of the drive assembly positioned within the housing, a needle cover having a pre-use position where the cannula is positioned within the needle cover, an actuation position where the needle cover is configured to actuate the drive assembly, and a post-use position where the cannula is positioned within the needle cover, and a cap receiving a portion of the needle cover, with the cap configured to prevent movement of the needle cover from the pre-use position to the actuation position.
Device and method for delivering a medicament
A device for delivery of medicament is presented that has an elongated housing, a container mounted within the housing and adapted to contain liquid medicament, a stopper slidably arranged within said container, and a delivery mechanism comprising a resilient member, a plunger assembly having one end connected to the stopper and a second end being operably connected to the resilient member, a rotatable latch for releasably retaining the plunger assembly in a first position where the resilient member has an accumulated energy, where rotation of the latch releases the plunger assembly such that the accumulated energy is transferred to the plunger assembly for driving the stopper within the container whereby the medicament within said container is delivered to an injection site. After delivery of the medicament a rotator having a hard stop feature aligns with a rib on the protective shield to prevent retraction of the protective shield.
ADJUSTABLE DOSE DRUG DELIVERY SYSTEM
A drug delivery system is provided that has an adjustable dose mechanism allowing setting and locking the dose then administration of the set dose. A method for administering a medicament using the drug delivery system is also provided.
Medicament delivery device
A medicament delivery device comprises a housing and a syringe axially movable in the housing and the syringe having a barrel. The device further comprises a stopper axially movable in the barrel and which separates a first chamber and second chamber from one another. The stopper is axially movable in the barrel in response to a vapour pressure being received in the second chamber. The device also includes a biasing mechanism to axially move the syringe in the housing between a first syringe position and a second syringe position in response to a first reduction in the vapour pressure in the second chamber. In the first syringe position venting of the propellant from the second chamber through a first fluid pathway is permitted to enable the first reduction in the vapour pressure in the second chamber while venting of the propellant from the second chamber through a second fluid pathway is substantially prevented. In the second syringe position venting of the propellant from the second chamber through the second fluid pathway is permitted to enable a second reduction in the vapour pressure in the second chamber.
Apparatuses and method for injecting medicaments
An injector for delivering medicament includes a first sleeve defining a longitudinal axis, a medicament container, and a locking tab. The medicament container is at least partially disposed within the first sleeve and configured for axial translation with respect to the first sleeve along the longitudinal axis. The medicament container includes a barrel, a needle mounted to a distal end of the barrel, a seal slidably mounted in the barrel, and a plunger rod. The locking tab extends through an aperture in the first sleeve and is in contact with or adjacent to a portion of the medicament container such that the locking tab restricts translation of the barrel with respect to the first sleeve along the longitudinal axis. The locking tab is configured to be movable to a second position in which the locking tab does not restrict translation of the barrel.
SYRINGE FOR INJECTING AN INJECTABLE SOLUTION CONTAINED IN A DEFORMABLE CARTRIDGE
A syringe for injecting an injectable solution contained in a deformable cartridge includes a main body provided with a receiving compartment for receiving the deformable cartridge, the main body extending between a first end portion, a first opening being defined/formed in the first end portion, and an opposed second end portion, a second opening being defined/formed in the second end portion, a crushing device having a plunger sliding with respect to the main body between a retracted position and an advanced position and bearing a crushing head sliding with respect to the main body inside the receiving compartment for deforming and crushing the deformable cartridge, a support and fixing element to which the plunger is slidably constrained, and coupling means for removably coupling the support and fixing element to the main body and/or enabling the support and fixing element to be coupled to the main body so as to change a mutual position between the support and fixing element and the main body.
SYRINGE DEVICES
Described herein are syringe devices comprising a syringe including a therapeutic dose of at least one drug and a stopper. The syringe is housed and/or placed in an encasement. The plunger assembly can include a plunger, an actuator, and a spacer, wherein the plunger assembly is configured to move the stopper a predetermined distance without a user touching the plunger. Methods of assembling and using the syringe devices are also described.
