Syringe and kit for administering predetermined specific epinephrine doses
The present invention relates to a syringe and medical kit, which allow for doses of epinephrine of 0.15 mg or 0.15 mL, 0.3 mg or 0.3 mL, and 0.5 mg or 0.5 mL, the most commonly prescribed doses which are utilized today in treating anaphylaxis or other allergic reactions. Currently, existing syringes may include many markings of ten or more dosages. Although these prior art syringes are useful, it is difficult to use them for a patient who must quickly identify a correct dose level among many other marks. The above problem can be addressed by a syringe design which has only a few dosage markings, which correspond to commonly used standard dosages for children and adults. When used with a standard concentration of 1:1000 epinephrine solution, such a device can rapidly provide a known quantity of medicine to a patient who is in urgent need of it.
AUTO-INJECTION MEDICAL DEVICE SYSTEM
An injector comprising: (a) a housing; (b) a control releasably secured to the housing; and (c) a syringe movably positioned within the housing, wherein when released, the control drives the syringe to expose a portion of the syringe outside of the housing.
Syringe devices
Described herein are syringe devices comprising a syringe including a therapeutic dose of at least one drug and a stopper. The syringe is housed and/or placed in an encasement. The plunger assembly can include a plunger, an actuator, and a spacer, wherein the plunger assembly is configured to move the stopper a predetermined distance without a user touching the plunger. Methods of assembling and using the syringe devices are also described.
Vial Transfer and Injection Apparatus and Method
Drug delivery system, injection device, transfer apparatus, vial holder and method of administering and transferring are disclosed. The system may include transfer apparatus and an injection device. The transfer apparatus may have receiving stations for a drug source, such as a vial or vial holder, and for an injection device, and fluid flow pathways for transferring drugs from the source into the injection device. The injection device may include an expandable elastic bladder and an injection cannula that is movable between a plurality of positions.
MEDICATION DELIVERY DEVICE AND MEDICATION DELIVERY ASSEMBLY
A medication delivery device is disclosed. The medication delivery device comprises a housing, a drug container holder arranged at least partly within the housing, wherein the drug container holder is configured to receive a plurality of single dose drug containers each of which is configured to contain a liquid, and an actuator element configured to separately administer a single dose of the liquid from each of the plurality of single dose drug containers. Further, a medication delivery assembly, a method for manufacturing a medication delivery device and a method for administration a single dose of a liquid using a medication delivery device are disclosed.
Method for treating pre-type 1 diabetes in a human subject
The present invention relates to compositions and methods utilizing anti-TNF antibodies having a heavy chain (HC) comprising SEQ ID NO:36 and a light chain (LC) comprising SEQ ID NO:37 for use in the treatment or prevention of Type I Diabetes (T1D).
ACTIVATION MECHANISM FOR DRUG DELIVERY DEVICE
A drug delivery device includes a housing, an injection assembly at least partially disposed in the housing, a shield, and a drive assembly at least partially disposed in the housing and coupled with the injection assembly and the shield. The shield has an extended position where at least a proximal end thereof extends a distance beyond a proximal end of the housing. The injection assembly includes a needle or cannula having an endpoint. Upon moving the shield axially towards the distal end of the housing a predetermined distance, a retraction profile commences whereby the drive assembly administers a medicament via the injection assembly. A peak resistance force is exerted within approximately the first 12 mm of axial movement of the shield.
MEDICAL FLUID INJECTION DEVICE WITH FILL INDICATOR
An injection device has a generally disc-shaped housing including an arcuate clear section and graduated markings in an arcuate arrangement on or adjacent to the clear section. An arcuately expandable member is contained within the housing and is configured to hold a volume of liquid. An indicator is connected to the expandable member and positioned within the housing. The indicator is configured to move along an arcuate path adjacent to the clear section such that alignment of the indicator with the graduated markings indicates a volume of liquid within the expandable member.
Clicker arrangement and drug delivery device herewith
The present disclosure is generally directed to a clicker arrangement for use in a drug delivery device, i.e. a handheld injection device for selecting and dispensing a number of user variable doses of a medicament. The clicker arrangement comprises a first element rotatable at least in a first direction and a second, non-rotatable element. The first element is axially displaceable relative to the second element between a first position and a second position. One of the elements comprises a clicker arm and the other comprises a protrusion wherein upon rotation of the first element in the first direction relative to the second element the clicker arm is elastically deflectable in a radial direction by the protrusion and relaxable in the opposite radial direction upon disengagement with the protrusion thereby generating an audible and/or tactile feedback signal.
Device for Administering a Medicinal Liquid by Injection
A device for administering a medicinal liquid by injection is provided. The device comprises a dose assembly comprising collapsible reservoir. The device further includes at least one actuator element onto which the user may apply a force to actuate the device, the force having a component along an axis perpendicular to a longitudinal axis; and a housing comprising a septum. The at least one actuator element is configured and arranged to act on at least a portion of a dose assembly and the at least one actuator element and dose assembly are configured and arranged such that the needle is displaceable along the longitudinal axis and/or in an axis parallel to the longitudinal axis in response to an actuation force so that a portion of the needle moves from an interior to an exterior of the housing and device to allow for dispensation of the medicinal liquid.
