Provided herein are devices, systems, and methods for providing controlled delivery of a therapeutic substance during a surgical procedure, the devices and systems including a base, a frame having a proximal end and a distal end attached to the base, an injection subassembly including a plunger shaft, a relative motion subassembly including a lever plate, and a fastener configured to connect the plunger shaft of the injection subassembly and the lever plate of the relative motion subassembly.

Apparatuses and method for injecting medicaments

An injector for delivering a medicament includes an outer sleeve, an inner sleeve, and a syringe. The inner sleeve is disposed partially within the outer sleeve. A plunger rod of the syringe is engaged with the outer sleeve in a fixed spatial relationship such that the plunger rod and the outer sleeve translate as a unit. The outer sleeve is configured for axial translation relative to the inner sleeve from a first configuration wherein the inner sleeve extends from the outer sleeve a first distance to a second configuration in which the inner sleeve extends from the outer sleeve a second distance that is less than the first distance. Further, in a third configuration the inner sleeve extends from the outer sleeve a third distance that is greater than the second distance and the inner sleeve is restricted from axially translating with respect to the outer sleeve.

A package comprising a container for holding a first sub-stance, and a product insert for holding a second substance, at least partially inserted info said container, and where the first product and the second product can be allowed to merge by external manipulation of said package. Packaged products and methods are also provided.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR SAFETY SYRINGE

A system for injecting includes a syringe body defining a proximal opening and a distal needle interface. The system also includes a plunger member defining a plunger interior and configured to be manually manipulated to insert a stopper member relative to the syringe body. The plunger member includes a needle retention feature disposed in the plunger interior, an energy-storage member disposed in the plunger interior, and an energy-storage member latching member disposed in the plunger interior. The system further includes a needle hub assembly coupled to the distal needle interface of the syringe body. The needle assembly includes a needle having a needle proximal end feature, a hub, and a needle latching member configured to couple the needle to the hub. The needle is retractable into plunger interior upon manipulation of the plunger member to actuate the energy-storage member latching member.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR SAFETY SYRINGE

A system for injecting includes a syringe body defining a proximal opening and a distal needle interface. The system also includes a plunger member defining a plunger interior and configured to be manually manipulated to insert a stopper member relative to the syringe body, the plunger member. The needle is at least partially retractable into plunger interior. The needle proximal end feature includes an annular distally facing surface.

Three position needle retraction

In some embodiments a system and method are described for safeguarding a hazard, the hazard, for example a needle point, may be moved between a protected retracted position, an active extended position and/or an intermediate position. Optionally in the retracted position, the hazard may be protected inside a housing. Optionally in the extended position, the hazard may be exposed. Optionally, in the intermediate position the hazard may be partially protected and/or concealed, for example by a shield and/or in an indentation. In some embodiments, compromising a shield causes the hazard to be retracted to the retracted position.

CARTRIDGE SAFETY INJECTION SYSTEM AND METHODS

A system for injecting includes a cartridge body defining a proximal opening and a distal needle interface. The system also includes a plunger member defining a plunger interior and configured to be manually manipulated to insert a stopper member relative to the cartridge body. The plunger member includes a needle retention feature disposed in the plunger interior, an energy-storage member disposed in the plunger interior, and an energy-storage member latching member disposed in the plunger interior. The system further includes a needle hub assembly coupled to the distal needle interface of the cartridge body. The needle assembly includes a needle having a needle proximal end feature, a hub, and a needle latching member configured to couple the needle to the hub. The needle is retractable into plunger interior upon manipulation of the plunger member to actuate the energy-storage member latching member.

Syringe with retractable needle

The invention relates to a syringe with a retractable needle comprising a barrel (2) having a nozzle (19) integrated in a male Luer adapter element (26); a piston (3) slidably arranged in the barrel (2) and coupled to a sealing element (16), said sealing element (16) having a central channel (20); a needle assembly comprising a needle (4), a needle holder (6) and a female Luer adapter element (7); a spring assembly arranged in the piston (3) comprising a spring sleeve (12), a spring (13) mounted on the spring sleeve (12), a spring tensioning element (14) located on the spring sleeve (12) and held in position by the piston wall, and a plunger (15) mounted within the spring sleeve; and a piston cap (10); said piston (3) being coupled to the sealing element (16) by means of the spring tensioning element (14); said spring sleeve (12) being held in position within the piston (3) by a ring element (18) protruding from the inner wall of the piston (3) and supporting the proximal end of the spring sleeve (12), the spring sleeve extending into the channel (20) of the sealing element (16) to the distal end thereof; said spring sleeve (12) comprising at its distal end a circular protrusion (21) on the inside designed to engage a circular recess (22) at the proximal end of the needle holder (6); wherein the piston (3) comprises a holding ring (11) on its inner surface designed to engage with an outer flange (17) of the spring sleeve (12) after actuation of the spring (13).

Injection devices and methods for making and using them

Devices and methods are provided for delivering an agent into a patient's body using an injection device that includes a drive module and an injector module coupled to the drive module. The drive module includes a canister and puncture mechanism in a first chamber, a plunger in a second chamber communicating with the first chamber, and an actuator that moves the puncture mechanism to cause a puncture pin thereon to penetrate a septum of the canister and cause the gas within the canister to flow through the first chamber around the canister, and into the second chamber. The injector module includes a piston slidably disposed within an agent chamber and coupled to the distal end of the plunger such that, when the plunger moves from a retracted position to an extended position, the piston is advanced within the agent chamber to deliver an agent therein into a patient's body.
