The treatment assembly can further comprise a plurality of plates, each plate being at least partially received within a respective opening of the plurality of openings of the inner layer. The treatment assembly can further comprise treatment circuitry comprising a cable having a plurality of electrical leads and a plurality of lead ends, each electrical lead being electrically connected to a respective lead end of the plurality of lead ends. A cover layer can be attached to the outer surface of the inner layer and overlie the plurality of lead ends of the cable. The plurality of lead ends can be in contact with respective plates of the plurality of plates to define a plurality of electrodes.
MUSCLE STIMULATION SYSTEM AND METHOD
A system for stimulating a muscle of a user, the system comprising: a stimulating unit comprising (i) at least two electrodes configured to be placed in electrical contact with skin of a user in a vicinity of the muscle, and (ii) a pulse generator configured to generate an electrical pulse for application to the muscle through the at least two electrodes; a sensing unit comprising at least one sensor configured to measure a physiological parameter of the user and generate a sensing signal in response thereto; and a control processor operatively coupled to the stimulating unit and to the sensing unit and configured to receive the sensing signal from the at least one sensor and change a parameter of the electrical pulse applied by the at least two electrodes in response to the sensing signal.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR UNATTENDED TREATMENT OF A PATIENT
An unattended approach can increase the reproducibility and safety of the treatment as the chance of over/under treating of a certain area is significantly decreased. On the other hand, unattended treatment of uneven or rugged areas can be challenging in terms of maintaining proper distance or contact with the treated tissue, mostly on areas which tend to differ from patient to patient (e.g. facial area). Delivering energy via a system of active elements embedded in a flexible pad adhesively attached to the skin offers a possible solution. The unattended approach may include delivering of multiple energies to enhance a visual appearance.
HEARING PROSTHESIS SYSTEM
A hearing prosthesis system may include a cochlear implant coupled to an electrode array and configured to be implanted within a patient; and a processing unit communicatively coupled to the cochlear implant which is configured to direct the cochlear implant to apply stimulation to a cochlea of the patient via the electrode array and to detect, via the electrode array, a neural response of the patient to hearing stimulation. The processing unit is further configured to generate a user interaction audio signal indicative of an interaction of the patient with the hearing prosthesis system and apply perceivable hearing stimulation to the patient according to the user interaction audio signal, and to record, via the electrode array and the cochlear implant, the neural response to said hearing stimulation according to the user interaction audio signal, thereby utilizing the user interaction audio signal as a test audio signal.
WALKING ASSIST DEVICE
A walking assist device includes a plurality of electrodes disposed on a surface of a leg of a user, a stimulation applier configured to apply, to the electrodes, a voltage for applying electrical stimulation to the muscles, and a control unit configured to control the stimulation applier to apply the voltage to one or more target electrodes selected from among the electrodes. The control unit controls the stimulation applier such that a combination of electrodes selected as the one or more target electrodes is different for each of a plurality of motion phases included in a motion cycle of the leg during the walking motion.
AURICULAR NEUROSTIMULATION DEVICE AND SYSTEM
The present invention relates to an auricular neurostimulation device wearable by a user and configured to stimulate the Auricular Branch of Vagus Nerve (ABVN) on the user’s ear: the device comprises at least two electrodes designed to be located in the cymba and in the cavity of the cavum conchae respectively; the electrodes stimulate the nerve ramifications of the cymba and the cavum conchae, respectively, when an electrical voltage difference is applied between them. The invention further refers to an auricular neurostimulation system comprising an auricular neurostimulation device as described and a charging case where the device can charge an internal battery and where the device discharges into this case the data captured by the photoplethysmographic or biosensor during stimulation and sends them to a dedicated platform in the cloud. The invention also refers to a method of operation of an auricular neurostimulation system as described.
Method and device for treating sleep related breathing disorders
The present disclosure relates to a method for increasing an amount of air and/or oxygen passing through an airway of an individual, reducing airway restrictions in an individual, increasing airway patency and/or maintaining airway patency in an individual, decreasing snoring, obstructive sleep apnea, or a combination thereof, in an individual. The method may comprise stimulating at least four regions of the individual's neck, where two of the at least four regions of the individual's neck are anterior triangle regions on opposing sides of the individual's midline, and another two of the at least four regions of the individual's neck are anterior triangle regions on opposing sides of the individual's midline, posterior to the two of the at least four regions. The present disclosure also discusses related devices and systems.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR MANAGED TRAINING AND REHABILITATION VIA ELECTRICAL STIMULATION
An electrical stimulation training and neuromuscular rehabilitation system including a machine-washable stimulation suit with multiple electrodes to provide controlled stimulation of various muscle groups is provided. The stimulation suit may also include one or more integrated biosensors to provide diagnostic capability in addition to stimulation. The system may also include a software platform executable on a user computing device (such as a tablet) that may facilitate control of the stimulation programs (e.g., intensity level, duration, isolation of individual muscle groups vs. full body stimulation) of one or more stimulation suits by the wearer or a fitness practitioner or trainer and/or that may facilitate intervention by a medical provider through a remote telemedicine platform.
