TRANSDUCER ARRAY HAVING A VARIABLE RESISTANCE CONDUCTIVE GEL LAYER
A transducer array including a conductive layer and a conductive gel layer is described. The conductive layer has one or more electrode element. The one or more electrode element is configured to receive electrical signals from an electric field generator producing an electric signal as a Tumor Treating Field. The conductive gel layer overlaps the one or more electrode element of the conductive layer. The conductive gel layer has a first region and a second region. The first region has a first resistivity and the second region having a second resistivity with the first resistivity being different from the second resistivity.
Devices and methods for delivery of electrical current for pain relief
Device/system that provides pain relief by delivering stimulation that neither generates action potentials nor completely blocks neural transmission (in the peripheral nerve). The present teachings provide relief by modulating release of neurotransmitters in peripheral nerves to cause neuromodulation at the level of the peripheral nerve (modulation of neural signals in the peripheral nerve). The present teachings provide relief by modulating release of neurotransmitters in peripheral nerves to cause neuromodulation at the level of the peripheral nerve (modulation of neural signals in the peripheral nerve) to alter the frequency of physiologically generated neural transmission.
EAR DEVICE AND PAIRED TREATMENTS INVOLVING NERVE STIMULATION
The invention described herein provides for a portable autonomic nerve system stimulation device that may operate as an “open-loop” or “closed-loop” stimulation system and includes in some embodiments a paired therapy for a disease or condition. Embodiments of the inventive device include at least one stimulation circuit for the generation and delivery of a stimulation, at least one biological signal monitoring apparatus for monitoring a biological state of a user wearing the device, at least one controller in electrical communication with the stimulation circuit and at least one power supply for providing power to the controller and stimulation circuit. Aspects of the invention provides for a portable autonomic nerve system stimulation device which may be worn in the ear, or about the head, of a subject, patient or user.
ELECTRIC DEVICE FOR SKIN TREATMENT AND CONTROL METHOD THEREFOR
An electric device for skin treatment, includes: a needle body including needles for drug injection and electrical stimulation treatment and a needle printed circuit board (PCB) connected to the needles; a needle cap provided at a first end of the needle body and having a needle hole through which the needles passes; and a handpiece body having a first end detachably connected to a second end of the needle body. The handpiece body includes: a connection PCB to which a connection member configured to be electrically connected to the needle PCB is coupled; and a connection PCB cable configured to be electrically connected to the connection PCB.
INTRAORAL AND FACIAL BIOREGULATORY BIOELECTRIC DELIVERY DEVICES
Devices for treating sleep apnea or other conditions by bioelectric signaling include intraoral devices and facial masks. An intraoral device may include a flexible tube shaped to fit over a person's mandible or maxilla and extend along the person's oral mucosa on an interior side and an exterior side of the person's mandibular or maxillary arch or may include a plurality of adjustable, flexible arms extending from a base that may be positioned relative to the person's oral mucosa as desired. Facial masks may be shaped to fit over a person's nose and sinuses. A plurality of electrodes may be provided along the flexible tube, on respective flexible arms, and/or on a surface of the mask. An external or onboard processor may be operable to generate a bioelectric signal at one or more of the plurality of electrodes to heal, restore, or maintain the body's own bioregulatory functions.
SYSTEM FOR DISPLAY OF NEUROSTIMULATION USAGE AND COMPLIANCE
A neurostimulation system is disclosed for providing treatment to a patient during a therapy session. The neurostimulation system includes a neurostimulator for transmitting magnetic or electrical signals based upon a treatment program. A programmer is connected to the neurostimulator to set a treatment session parameter value to calculate a therapy compliance value. A compliance module is connected to the neurostimulator and the programmer to calculate and store a therapy compliance value. A control module is connected to the compliance module, the programmer and the neurostimulator and determines whether the therapy compliance value is within a range of the treatment program. The neurostimulator transmits electrical or magnetic signals to the patient in a treatment session only if the therapy compliance value meets a compliance criteria.
Non-invasive nerve stimulation to treat or prevent autism spectrum disorders and other disorders of psychological development
Devices, systems and methods are disclosed for treating or preventing an autism spectrum disorder, a pervasive developmental disorder, or a disorder of psychological development. The methods comprise transmitting impulses of energy non-invasively to selected nerve fibers, particularly those in a vagus nerve. The nerve stimulation may be used as a behavior conditioning tool, by producing euphoria in an autistic individual. Vagus nerve stimulation is also used to modulate circulating serotonin levels in a pregnant woman so as to reduce the risk of having an autistic child; modulate the levels of growth factors within a child; promote balance of neuronal excitation/inhibition; modulate the activity of abnormal resting state neuronal networks; increase respiratory sinus arrhythmia; and avert episodes of motor stereotypies with the aid of forecasting methods.
Methods and apparatuses for transdermal stimulation of the outer ear
Transdermal electrical stimulation (TES) applicators that are wearable and configured to attached to a subject's pinna (ear) and adapted to apply TES to modulate the subject's cognitive and/or physiological state. These apparatuses may be configured so that they can be worn against the ear (e.g., the cymba of the ear) to deliver TES. Also described herein are methods of using them to modulate a subject's cognitive state. These TES applicators may also be adapted to function as audio headphones for concurrent delivery of TES and audible signals (e.g., music).
NON-INVASIVE BRAIN STIMULATION
The present invention relates to an electrical nerve stimulator configured to deliver an electrical signal to a user to entrain Mu-band neural oscillations and/or Beta-band neural oscillations. The electrical nerve stimulator may be used in the treatment of neurological conditions associated with desynchronization of neural oscillations, such as Tourette's syndrome. The electrical nerve stimulator may be wearable on a wrist of a user, and may be configured to deliver rhythmic stimulation at a frequency falling within the same frequency range of Mu-band or Beta-band neural oscillations. The invention provides a convenient means of treating conditions such as Tourette's syndrome without the need for specialist medical equipment or facilities. Also disclosed is a method of delivering an electrical signal to a user to entrain Mu-band neural oscillations and/or Beta-band neural oscillations.
