MULTI-PIECE INTERVERTEBRAL IMPLANTS
Intervertebral implants for implanting into an intervertebral space are provided. The implants can comprise one or more layers that are operably attached to one another. An implant can comprise a first layer having a first mating surface that mates with a second mating surface of a second layer. The first mating surface and the second mating surface can have features that allow them to complement each other. The implants can include one or more bore holes for receiving a fixation member. The bore holes can be horizontal, vertical or diagonal. In some cases, the bore holes will be blind bore holes.
Stabilized total ankle prosthesis
The present invention relates to a stabilized ankle prosthesis configured for use in patients with compromised soft tissue in the ankle. The prosthesis of the present invention is a two-component design comprising a stabilizing lip configured to constrain movement in the general direction of compromised soft tissue.
Method and apparatus for spinal facet joint fusion using irregularly shaped cortical bone implants
A method and apparatus for spinal fusion at the facet joint using an irregularly shaped implant where the orientation of the implant can be preselected before implantation.
SURGICAL JOINT IMPLANT AND A BONE-MOUNTABLE RIG
A surgical joint implant has a cap in the form of at least two intersecting circles of the same diameter having an articular outer surface and an inner surface for bone adhesion. At the center of each circle a peg, for bone insertion into a hole of a nominal diameter, extends. One peg is slightly larger than said nominal diameter, to achieve an interference fit and the other peg is slightly thinner, to achieve a slide fit. A tubular drill rig open at both ends and having an interior circumference corresponding to the outer shape of the implant, can be mounted over the bone surface to be repaired. It accommodates a double drill for drilling, at the same time, a shallow hole of the diameter of the intersecting circle and a deeper narrow hole at the center of the circle of said nominal diameter.
SURGICAL KIT FOR CARTILAGE REPAIR COMPRISING IMPLANT AND A SET OF TOOLS
Embodiments herein relate to design methods for design of an individually customized implant, based on a 3D virtual model of an implant. The design method comprises identifying a damage area, presenting a virtual 3D view of said identified damage area, creating a 3D virtual implant comprising virtually placing in said 3D view a shape, wherein the area of the shape covers or partly covers said identified damage area, producing an implant based on said created 3D virtual implant.
DESIGN METHOD OF A RIG
A design method for design of a rig is presented. The rig comprises a hollow tubular shell, and the interior of said shell defines at least first and second intersecting cylinders. The design method comprises identifying a damage area, presenting a 3D view of identified damage area and generating a 3D model of a virtual rig. The generating comprises virtually placing in 3D view a shape covering or partly covering damage area, and creating, based on the position of the virtually placed shape, a position of hollow tubular rig shell of the virtual rig. The method further comprises selecting the at least first and second intersecting cylinders of the virtual rig, based on the size and form of the virtually placed shape, and creating a positioning surface of the virtual rig which is a bone and/or cartilage-engaging end of hollow tubular shell. The positioning surface is adapted to follow the surface surrounding the virtually placed shape when the virtual rig is placed in a virtual model of the joint. The method comprises producing a rig according to the virtually created rig.
CERVICAL DISC AND INSTRUMENTATION
A spinal implant configured for positioning within a space between adjacent vertebral bodies includes an upper end plate including an outer surface extending between first and second end surfaces and opposed side surfaces. The outer surface includes a first convex profile extending between the first and second end surfaces and a second convex profile extending between the opposed side surfaces. The first convex profile and the second convex profile have different curvatures. The spinal implant further includes a lower end plate and a core disposed between the upper and lower end plates and coupled thereto. A method of assembling a spinal implant and a method of performing spinal surgery are also disclosed.

STEM FOR USE IN JOINT ARTHROPLASTY
The invention relates to a prosthesis for implantation into a long bone during joint arthroplasty, particularly Total Shoulder Arthoplasty and Total Hip Arthroplasty, and a method for use of the implant.
