Pulley assemblies for use in modular utility systems
A counterbalanced vertical track assembly which may be configured with three types of pulley support assemblies are herein disclosed. The first type of pulley support assembly has a pair of opposed pulley modules having an elongate structural element interposed the two pulley modules which are attached to end plates at both ends of the elongate structural element. The second type of pulley support assembly has a pair of opposed pulley modules which include male end connectors for demountable engagement of the pulley modules with another module of the system with female ends. The third type of pulley support assembly has a pair of opposed pulley modules wherein the modules' pulley brackets are repositionable to varying angular orientations by alternating screw mount positions selected on mount components at opposite ends of an elongate structural element.
FURNITURE SYSTEM
In a furniture system having an electrically adjustable piece of furniture and an energy transmission device, the piece of furniture has at least one actuator for adjusting the piece of furniture, an electrical energy store for supplying the actuator during an adjustment process, and a charging circuit for charging the energy store. The energy transmission device is adapted to receive energy from an AC mains supply and to deliver it wirelessly. The charging circuit is adapted to at least partially receive the energy output from the energy transmission device without physical contact with the energy transmission device and to use it to charge the energy store.
Automatic Elevation-Adjusting System
An automatic elevation-adjusting system includes an elevating unit, a control panel, a setting module, a calculating module and a central control module. The control panel includes a power icon, a direction icon unit, a setting icon, and a mode icon unit. The setting icon is operable to actuate the setting module to allow a user to press the direction icon unit and the power icon to enter data including a name, height, sex and age. The calculating module calculates average elevations for playing games, writing, reading and standing based on the user's sex and age, a pre-set specification of the table and an average height corresponding to the user's sex and age. The central control module actuates the elevating unit to move a table to the average elevation for playing games, writing, reading or standing when the game, writing, reading or standing icon of the mode icon unit is pressed.

Cord system for height-adjustable furniture
An electrical power or data system for height-adjustable furniture includes a self-retracting cord section that extends and retracts in response to an upper furniture portion raising and lowering with respect to a lower furniture portion, such as to limit or avoid entanglement of the cord with other objects in the vicinity of the furniture. The system includes an electrical power or data cord having an input end portion and an output end portion, with the retracting cord section disposed between the input and output end portions, and with an electrical power or data connector at the output end portion and configured for mounting along the upper furniture portion.
Systems and methods for controlling an interactive workstation based on biometric input
Systems and methods are disclosed for moving a tabletop of a workstation based on biometric input associated with a user, the method being performed by a controller that is configured to send control signals to actuators to move the tabletop. One method includes: accessing a user profile associated with a user device; determining parameters for moving the tabletop, based on the user profile, for eliciting desired biometric inputs from the workstation user at one or more times during the movement of the tabletop; and repeating one or more iterations of: moving the tabletop based on the parameters, by sending control signals to the actuators of the tabletop; receiving, into a data storage device, actual biometric inputs from the workstation user; comparing the received actual biometric inputs with the desired biometric inputs; and if the parameters do not elicit the desired biometric inputs, adjusting the parameters.

Desk and Proprioceptive Foot Stimulator Assembly
A proprioceptive foot stimulator assembly having a cross bar that connects to the leg structure of a desk. The assembly includes a bottom channel that pivotably attaches to the cross bar, and a foot stimulating member that attaches to the bottom channel, so that it can pivot in relation to the crossbar. Mounting flanges are located at the longitudinal ends of the cross bar. A pivot assembly, generating the pivotable attachment between the bottom channel and the cross bar, includes two threaded fasteners and a bushing, secured by lock nuts; the bushing connecting the first threaded fastener to the second threaded fastener, such that the second threaded fastener can pivot in relation to the first threaded fastener. In another embodiment, the proprioceptive foot stimulator assembly has at least one slider track capable of being attached to a desk and a foot stimulating member that slidably connects to the slider track.
Locking device for telescopable furniture column
A locking device for a height-adjustable furniture column includes a switching lever, an actuating element, an engaging element having a plurality of locking recesses, and a slide, in which an engaging means is guided. An item of furniture includes the locking device. A method for adjusting the height of the furniture item.
