TRIAL NECK
A bent trial femoral neck (400) and method for visually assessing the orientation of an acetabular cup implanted in a pelvis of a patient are described. The bent trial femoral neck comprises a body (402) extending along a femoral neck axis, an attachment formation (408, 410) extending from the body for releasably attaching the trial femoral neck to a femoral part received with a femur of the patient and a taper (404). The taper extends along a taper axis and the taper axis is tilted anteriorly relative to the femoral neck axis by an angle configured to position a trial femoral head having an indicium on an outer surface so that the indicium is parallel to a plane of a rim of the acetabular cup, or a rim of a liner within the acetabular cup, when the acetabular cup is oriented in the pelvis of the patient with a target orientation and the hip joint is in a predetermined position.
FEMORAL HIP JOINT SPACER WITH IRRIGATION DEVICE
A femoral hip joint spacer including a prosthesis body having a ball head with a sliding surface, a neck, a collar and a stem. A fastening area is arranged on the stem. The femoral hip joint spacer further has a first connector for feeding a medical irrigation liquid into the body, a second connector for draining the irrigation liquid from the body, and an irrigation liquid inlet opening. The first connector is connected in a liquid-conveying manner to the irrigation liquid inlet opening and an irrigation liquid outlet opening. The second connector is connected in a liquid-conveying manner to the irrigation liquid outlet opening, an irrigation liquid discharge opening and an irrigation liquid intake opening. The irrigation liquid discharge opening is connected inside the body to the irrigation liquid inlet opening and the irrigation liquid intake opening is connected inside the body to the irrigation liquid outlet opening.
ASSEMBLY TOOL
An instrument for assembling an implant on a neck. The implant and neck being coupled via a taper having a taper axis. The instrument includes a frame having a distal portion and a proximal portion, the distal portion of the frame including a retaining member adapted to engage a portion of the neck and a connector adapted to engage a corresponding feature of the stem. The instrument also includes a force applier retained in the proximal portion of the frame. The force applier includes a screw having a screw axis that is coaxial with the taper axis, wherein the screw is adapted to engage the implant. As the screw is turned, the force applier applies a force on the implant while the neck is held in place by the frame, thereby causing the tapers of the implant and neck to engage.

ARTIFICIAL HIP JOINT STEM AND STEM PROVIDING METHOD
An artificial hip joint stem is used to replace the damaged femoral head or acetabulum and includes a stem body having a head fixing part, which fixes a head, and an operating space horizontally opened at the upper side thereof. A head insertion hole connects to the operating space. A screw part is inserted into the head insertion hole. An operation converting part is inserted into the operating space to vertically move by the screw part when the operation converting part is connected to the screw part. A fixing bracket is inserted into the operating space such that the screw part is fixed to rotate without changing the depth thereof. A variable operating part is inserted into a supporting surface of the stem body to adjust a horizontal width by means of the operation converting part. A movable pin fixes the variable operating part to the operation converting part.

Modular lateral hip augments
An implant for a hip can include a lateral augment adapted to be coupled to a lateral side of a femoral body implant. The lateral augment can include a body portion having a first surface, a second surface opposite the first surface, and a protrusion extending from the second surface. The protrusion can have a shape adapted to mate with a complementary shaped recess formed in the lateral side of the femoral body implant. An aperture can be positioned in the body portion and extend through the protrusion. A fastener can be received through the aperture and adapted to be threadably secured to the lateral bore. The fastener can be configured to have a length sufficient to pass through a portion of a greater trochanter for securing the portion of the greater trochanter and the lateral augment to the femoral body implant.

The instrument includes a frame having a distal portion and a proximal portion, the distal portion of the frame including a retaining member adapted to engage a portion of the neck. The retaining member includes a pair of moveable arms extending from the distal portion of the frame, the pair of moveable arms adapted to engage a pair of recesses on opposing sides of the neck. The instrument also includes a force applier retained in the proximal portion of the frame. The force applier includes a screw having a screw axis that is coaxial with the taper axis, wherein the screw is adapted to engage the implant.
