Disclosed is a method of manufacturing a wearable article assembled by a front belt, a back belt, and a central chassis, the central chassis having a front waist region and a back waist region separated from each other by a crotch region, wherein at least one of the front belt and the back belt is formed by an elastic belt, the methodmay comprise making the elastic belt and joining to the central chassis by the steps of: 1) advancing a first layer of continuous sheet having a first surface and an opposing second surface in a machine direction and defining a width in a cross machine direction; 2) advancing a second layer of continuous sheet having a first surface and an opposing second surface in the machine direction and having a smaller width than the first layer of continuous sheet; 3) advancing a first group of elastic bodies in the machine direction in a stretched state; 4) joining the first group of elastic bodies between the first surface of the first layer and the first surface of the second layer of continuous sheets to form a primary elastic belt precursor; 5) advancing a second group of elastic bodies in the machine direction in a stretched state; 6) joining the second group of elastic bodies to the first surface of the first layer of continuous sheet of the primary elastic belt precursor; 7) joining the central chassis to the second surface of the second layer of continuous sheet; and 8) folding the first layer of continuous sheet to form a first layer fold over of continuous sheet, such that at least one of the second group of elastic bodies is directly joined between the first surface of the first layer of continuous sheet and the first surface of the first layer fold over of continuous sheet.

A method of manufacturing a wearable article is disclosed. The method includes advancing a first layer of continuous sheet and a second layer of discrete continuous sheet having a smaller width than the first layer of continuous sheet; intermittently joining a first group of elastic bodies between the first layer of continuous sheet and the second layer of discrete continuous sheet; joining a second group of elastic bodies to the first layer of continuous sheets outward of the second layer of discrete continuous sheet; joining a center chassis with the first layer of continuous sheet and overlapping the first group of elastic bodies not joined to the first layer of continuous sheet; folding the first layer of continuous sheet to form a first layer fold over, wherein the first layer fold over overlaps the second group of elastic bodies, the center chassis, and the second layer of discrete continuous sheet.

WEARABLE ARTICLE HAVING ELASTIC BELT

Disclosed is a wearable article continuous in a longitudinal direction and a transverse direction comprising a center chassis and a ring-like elastic belt comprising a front belt and a back belt; the front and back belt each formed by a laminate comprising a plurality of elastic bodies running in the transverse direction, an inner sheet, an outer sheet, and an outer sheet fold over; wherein at least one of the front belt and the back belt has: a) the longitudinal edge of the center chassis being distal than, preferably at least about 10 mm distal than, the outer sheet fold over proximal edge; b) in the left and right side panels: b-1) at least one elastic body, preferably at least two elastic bodies, disposed between the outer sheet and the outer sheet fold over in regions where the inner sheet does not overlap; b-2) one to no more than about 8 elastic bodies disposed between the outer sheet and inner sheet in regions where the outer sheet fold over overlaps in the thickness direction, and b-3) the remaining elastic bodies disposed between the outer sheet and the inner sheet in regions where the outer sheet fold over does not overlap in the thickness direction, wherein any elastic body disposed between the outer sheet and the inner sheet is disposed at least about 5 mm away from the inner sheet distal edge.

WEARABLE ARTICLE COMPRISING AN ELASTIC LAMINATE

Wearable article comprising an elastic laminate with excellent sweat management properties. The elastic laminate comprises an inner first nonwoven layer and an outer second nonwoven layer. The outer layer has a higher hydrophilicity than the inner layer. The laminate has a total caliper when subjected to the NMR MOUSE method as described. The total caliper has a first sub-caliper corresponding to 50% of the total caliper, and a second sub-caliper corresponding to the remaining 50% of the total caliper. The elastic laminate has a Liquid Ratio of the first sub-caliper to the second sub-caliper of at least 1.1 after 1 minute according to the NMR MOUSE method.

Chassis design for absorbent article

A disposable absorbent article may include a first waist region, a second waist region, a crotch region disposed between the first and the second waist regions, and a chassis having a topsheet, backsheet, absorbent core, and chassis periphery. The chassis periphery has a varying width, W.sub.v. The varying width W.sub.v has a first maximum width, W.sub.1, in the first waist region, a minimum width, W.sub.min, in the crotch region, and a second maximum width, W.sub.2, in the second waist region, wherein W.sub.1 is greater than W.sub.2.

BEAMED ELASTOMERIC LAMINATE STRUCTURE, FIT, AND TEXTURE

The present disclosure relates to stranded elastomeric laminates (including bi-laminates and tri-laminates) comprising beamed elastics and may have inventive Dtex-to-Nonwoven-Basis-Weight-Ratios, Dtex-to-Spacing-Ratios, and/or Void-Area-to-Strand-Area-Ratios. The stranded laminates of the present disclosure may be used for disposable absorbent article components (including pant belts) and may comprise inventive bonding arrangements that yield inventive textures and texture arrangements. When the inventive stranded elastomeric laminates are used for pant belts, the pants may have inventive Application-Forces, Sustained-Fit-Load-Forces, and Sustained-Fit-Unload-Forces. Further, when absorbent articles are packaged under compression at inventive In-Bag-Stack-Heights, the stranded elastomeric laminates of the present disclosure maintain their inventive properties and characteristics, including their inventive textures.

An array of personal hygiene articles comprising a least a first article and a second article, the second article having a larger size than the first article. The articles each comprise a back waist gasketing element between a pair of elastic back ears. The back ears each have an innermost edge having a length. The waist gasketing element has a length measured along the longitudinal centerline. The ratio of the length of the innermost edge of the back ears to the length of the waist gasketing element is in the range of from 1.0 to 3.0 for at least the first and second articles. The length of the waist gasketing element of the second article is at least 2 mm longer than the length of the waist gasketing element of the first article.

Stretch laminates

A stretch laminate having a first substrate is adhesively attached to an elastic film. The adhesive is applied in a continuous manner to the substrate in a first tack down region which is disposed proximate to an end of the stretch laminate. The adhesive is applied as a plurality of adhesive stripes in an activation region which is interior of the first tack down region. The adhesive stripes have a width and a distance between adjacent adhesive stripes. The ratio of stripe width to distance between the adhesive stripes is in the range of less than about 1 or greater than about 0.33.

Absorbent article(s) chassis comprising beamed elastics

The present disclosure relates to absorbent article's chassis that may comprise one or more pluralities of tightly spaced (less than 4 mm, less than 3 mm, less than 2 mm, and less than 1 mm) and/or low decitex (less than 300, less than 200, less than 100 dtex) and/or low strain (less than 300%, less than 200%, less than 100%) elastics to deliver low pressure less than 1 psi (according to the conditions defined by the Pressure-Under-Strand Test in the Method below) under the elastics. The elastics in the chassis may be oriented parallel or transverse to the longitudinal axis.
