INJECTION DEVICE WITH DOSE INTERRUPTION FAIL SAFE
A dose setting mechanism is provided that includes a dose knob, a dose selector, a radial projecting rib and a snap element. The radial projecting rib is positioned circumferentially on an inside surface of the dose selector. The snap element includes a protrusion. The protruding rib has a reduced section that allows the protruding rib to move axially relative to the protrusion to initiate dose delivery.
Medicament device for use with a conventional syringe
The novel medicament devices comprise a housing that preferably contains a preloaded, conventional syringe with medication. Both trained and untrained users may administer an injection safely and conveniently to themselves or others in myriad settings. Certain of the disclosed embodiments rely on the user's manual action to insert the needle. Only after the needle is fully inserted is the medicament delivered, resulting in a safer injection. After use, the devices include a locking mechanism that locks a spring-loaded sheath in place around the needle for protection. As a common syringe is utilized, engineering and production issues of conventional automatic injectors are avoided.

Auto-injector with a delay system
An autoinjector having a body (1) receiving a reservoir (S) containing fluid and a piston (P); a piston rod (5) movable by an injection spring (8) between a primed position and an injection position; and a visual, audible, and/or tactile indicator for indicating the autoinjector may be removed from the injection site. The autoinjector including a retarding system for delaying actuation of the indicator relative to the end of injection, and including a dashpot (16) containing a fluid, a piston (19) in the dashpot, the dashpot or the piston movable in the body during actuation of the retarding system with the other stationary relative to the body, resulting in the fluid moving out from the dashpot through a flow passage (161; 195) to brake movement.
Automatic Injection Device With Variable Dosing
A medication injection device comprising a medication container to contain medication; a connector provided with a blocking feature; a push rod having a plurality of teeth disposed along the length, and a spring biasing against the push rod to move proximally. The spring can be compression spring, extension spring, torsion spring, or constant force spring. By enabling or disabling engagement between the blocking feature on the connector and the tooth on the push rod, the push rod is either prevented from moving distally or allowed to move distally. The medication is drawn into the medication container when the push rod moves proximally and the medication is dispensed out of the medication container when the push rod moves distally.
Automatic injection device with variable dosing
A medication delivery device, for use with a container having a distal end and a needle being placed at the distal end of the container, including: a push rod which is movable with respect to at least a portion of the container; a resilient member configured to bias the push rod to move toward the distal end of the container; a releasable restraining means configured to releasably restrain the push rod in a locked state against the biasing of the resilient member; a means to adjust amount of movement of the push rod with respect to the container in order to deliver a predetermined dose of medication; and an activation means configured to release the releasable means. The means to adjust amount of movement of the push rod with respect to the container is bi-directional. The device can accommodate containers of different size or shape.
Syringe
An injection pen comprises a circularly pushing device (1) and a vial housing (2), and is used to combine a medication vial (3) with a needle (4). The circularly pushing device (1) comprises a jointing member (10), a spiral sleeve (20), a spiral duct (30), a spirally-pushing tube (40), a threaded-connection shrink-ring (50), a propelling lever (60), a one-way ratchet ring (70), and an injection operation member (80). During the injection, the one-way ratchet ring (70) on a push rod (81) is jointed with a one-way ratchet groove portion (46) of the spirally-pushing tube (40) so as to restrain the rotation directions of the push rod (81) and the spirally-pushing tube (40); the propelling lever (60) cannot be rotated due to the limit of the jointing member (10).
INJECTION DEVICE WITH DOSE INTERRUPTION FAIL SAFE
An injection device incorporating a dose setting mechanism is presented where the dose setting mechanism contains a fail safe feature that activates during an interrupted dose delivery event. A dose selector having a projecting rib engages a protrusion on a snap element to prevent the dose knob from moving distally if a user removes an axial force in the proximal direction during dose delivery. The dose setting mechanism can further include a reuse prevention feature.
DISPENSING DEVICE
A dispensing device (102) is provided to dispense a designated amount of material on every dose delivery operation. The dispensing device (102) includes a thumb pad (202) and a cam drum (204) that is coupled to the thumb pad (202). The thumb pad (202) is configured to be pulled out towards a proximal end (104) of the dispensing device (102) for setting a dose of a material to be dispensed out and to be pushed in towards a distal end (106) of the dispensing device (102) for delivering the dose. The cam drum (204) includes at least one linear cam profile (402) and at least one helical cam profile (404) that are disposed on a surface of the cam drum (204).
