wherein the clutch member and the dose member are configured to mechanically cooperate with one another when the clutch member is in the clutch stop position, thereby preventing further displacement of the dose member in the proximal direction with respect to the housing during setting of the dose. Furthermore, a drug delivery device (1) is proposed.

Housing for a drug delivery device and drug delivery device

The invention is directed to a housing (7) for a drug delivery device comprising a first receiving section (14) for retaining a primary drug delivery assembly (16) and a second receiving section (15) for retaining a secondary drug delivery assembly (17). A movable actuator (34) comprises a first engagement section (55) and an actuation collar (37) comprises a second engagement section (53). A setting element (35) is movable around a second longitudinal axis (5) from a first position into a second position during a setting movement (56) and drives the actuation collar (37) into engagement with the actuator (34), wherein in the first position of the setting element (35) the actuator (34) is free to move relative to the actuation collar (37) and in the second position of the setting element (35) the actuation collar (37) engages the actuator (34) such that an actuation movement (63) of the actuator (34) is transferred to the actuation collar (37). The invention is also directed to a respective drug delivery device.

DRUG DELIVERY DEVICE WITH THREADED HOUSING AND PISTON, AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME

The present invention is generally directed to a drug delivery device for selecting and dispensing a number of user variable doses of a medicament. The device comprises a housing (10) having a tubular portion (12) with an inner thread, a piston rod (30) having a threaded portion (31) and a distal end, and a bearing (140) having a distal face and a proximal face. The bearing (140) comprises a retaining stem (142) protruding from the proximal face. The piston rod (30) comprises a distal portion having an outer diameter which is smaller than the inner diameter of the inner thread of the tubular portion (12) and comprising at its distal end at least one retaining clip (33, 33) engaging the retaining stem (142). The axial length of the tubular portion (12) is smaller than or equal to the axial distance between the proximal face of the bearing disc (141) and the distal end of the threaded portion (31) of the piston rod (30). During manufacturing of the device, the retaining clip (33, 33) engages the retaining stem (142) prior to the inner thread of the tubular portion (12) engages with the threaded portion (31) of the piston rod (30).

Dose setting mechanism for an injection device and having a preset feature
09669168 · 2017-06-06 · ·

A dose setting mechanism for an injection device having a rotatably operated dose setting member, a presetting member being operable to limit the maximum dose settable by the dose setting member, and a first stopping member is operatively connected to the presetting member where the position of the first stopping member indicates the preset maximum dose. The first stopping member is adapted to rotatably engage with a second stopping member when the preset maximum dose has been set, thereby preventing setting of a further dose. The first and/or the second stopping member is/are movable along with the dose setting member, the first and second stopping members thereby being moved into engagement when a dose is set. Thereby a dose can be preset and the preset dose can easily be repeatedly set while ensuring an accurate dosage. The contemplated device can aid persons being visually impaired or having poor dexterity in setting a correct and accurate dose.
