Medical injection system comprising a medical injection device and a dose limiter module
The present invention relates to a medical injection system comprising a medical injection device (100) of the type comprising a rotatable dose setting member (160). The system further comprises a dose limiter module (200) adapted for being releasably coupled to the injection device (100). The dose limiter module (200) comprises a dose limiter base (201) and a limiter (240) arranged relative to the dose limiter base (201) so that their relative position is adjustable to set an adjusted dose limiting position. When the dose limiter module (200) is coupled to the injection device (100), the limiter (240) cooperates with the dose setting member (160) to define a blocking means for preventing rotation of the dose setting member (160) beyond the adjusted dose limiting position. The dose limiter module (200) further comprises a user operable lock (210,212,232,223,243) configured for operation between a locked state and an unlocked state to respectively prevent and enable modification of the adjusted dose limiting position, the lock (210,212,232,223,243) being configured for maintaining the lock in the locked state at least when the dose limiter module (200) is not coupled with the injection device (100).
Assembly for a drug delivery device and drug delivery device
An assembly for a drug delivery device, and a drug delivery device, are proposed with a housing having proximal and distal ends. A dose member is displaceable proximally with respect to the housing for setting of a dose of a drug. A clutch member is displaceable proximally with respect to the housing when setting the dose. A stop member is configured to define a clutch stop position for the proximal displacement of the clutch member with respect to the housing, the clutch member, when in the clutch stop position, is prevented from further displacement proximally with respect to the housing, and the clutch member and the dose member are configured to mechanically cooperate with one another when the clutch member is in the clutch stop position, thereby preventing further displacement of the dose member proximally with respect to the housing during setting of the dose.
Injection device with flexible dose selection
An injection device incorporating a dose setting mechanism is presented where the dose setting mechanism contains a dose selector having one or more dose stops corresponding to a finite set of predetermined fixed doses, where the set of finite predetermined fixed doses includes a lowest fixed dose and one or more higher fixed doses, and where at least one of the one or more higher fixed doses is equal to the lowest fixed dose plus a fractional amount of the lowest fixed dose. The dose setting mechanism can further include a floating spline that is rotationally engaged with a snap element such that the snap element can rotate relative to the floating spline during both dose setting and dose delivery.
Injection device with dose interruption fail safe
A dose setting mechanism is provided that includes a dose knob, a dose selector, a radial projecting rib and a snap element. The radial projecting rib is positioned circumferentially on an inside surface of the dose selector. The snap element includes a protrusion. The protruding rib has a reduced section that allows the protruding rib to move axially relative to the protrusion to initiate dose delivery.
INJECTION DEVICE COMPRISING AN IMPROVED DELIVERY ELEMENT
An injection device having a delivery element with an inner thread may be driven by rotation and includes a cylindrical outer wall region, which is substantially smooth. Such features provide a delivery element configured such that it is less intimidating to patients than known threaded rods, and may facilitate easy cleaning. The delivery element may be non-rotatably guided and axially spring-loaded, and may be inserted axially into the housing when the reservoir is replaced. The driving thread element for the delivery element may be mounted in the vicinity of the distal end of the housing.
DISPLAY ARRANGEMENT FOR AN INJECTION DEVICE
The present invention relates to a A display arrangement for an injection device for displaying the size of a dose of a medicament, the display arrangement comprising: a housing (60) providing a rotation axis (3) extending in an axial direction (4), a first display member (22) rotatably supported inside the housing (60) with regard to the rotation axis (3) and having at least one cam (32) radially offset from the rotation axis (3), a second display member (24) rotatably supported inside the housing (60) with regard to the rotation axis (3) and arranged axially adjacent to the first display member (24), a coupling member (26) rotatably engaged with the second display member (24), wherein the coupling member (26) is engaged with the at least one cam (32) of the first display member (22) when the first display member (22) is in a predefined angular position or angular range, wherein the coupling member (26) and the first display member (22) are mutually engaged via a retaining arrangement (48) when the cam (32) and the coupling member (26) are disengaged.
Devices and methods for precision dose delivery
Disclosed herein are devices and methods for delivering a predetermined volume of a drug substance or other product including a fluid. An exemplary device may include a body configured to receive a drug substance therein, and a plunger rod disposed at least partially inside the body to distally move a stopper in the body. The device may include a component configured to regulate distal movement of the plunger rod in a priming step and in a subsequent delivery step, so that the device may be accurately primed and may accurately dispense a predetermined volume of a drug substance.
DOSE SETTING DEVICE FOR AN INJECTION DEVICE
A dosing device for an injection device, the dosing device including an actuating element for adjusting and/or dispensing a dose from the injection device, a thrust element for generating a forward movement for discharging a dose and a coupling to which the actuating element and the thrust element are coupled such that a rotational movement of the actuating element is transmitted directly to the thrust element and an axial movement of the actuating element is different than an axial movement of the thrust element.
Pre-loaded syringe with metered dosing and methods of use
Methods and devices for metering and delivering a desired dose of medication from a syringe are described. The devices may include a dosage limiting sleeve adjustably disposed around a syringe body, wherein the alignment of the dosage limiting sleeve relative to the syringe body indicates the dose to be administered by depressing a plunger until the dosage limiting sleeve is engaged.
