Drive assembly for a medication delivery device and medication delivery device

A drive assembly for a medication delivery device is provided which is switchable from an operational state to a resetting state and which comprises: a housing having a proximal end and a distal end, a drive member adapted to be rotated with respect to the housing, and a stop member adapted to prevent rotational movement of the drive member in a first direction with respect to the housing and to permit rotational movement of the drive member in a second direction with respect to the housing, the second direction being opposite to the first direction. In the operational state of the drive assembly the stop member is held in engagement with the drive member, and for switching into the resetting state of the drive assembly the stop member is enabled to disengage from the drive member caused by gravity due to the weight of the stop member. Moreover, in the operational state of the drive assembly the drive member may be held in engagement with a rotation member, and for switching into the resetting state of the drive assembly the drive member may be enabled to disengage from the rotation member caused by gravity due to the weight of the drive member.

ASSEMBLY AND INDICATOR FOR A DRUG DELIVERY DEVICE

An assembly for a drug delivery device, comprising a housing having a proximal end and a distal end, a piston rod and an indicator. The piston rod is adapted to be displaced distally with respect to the housing away from a proximal start position and towards a distal end position for delivering a drug. The indicator is adapted for indicating at least two different operation conditions of the assembly, the indicator being moveable with respect to the housing from a first indication position for a first condition of the assembly into a second indication position for a second condition of the assembly. The piston rod and the indicator are configured to mechanically interact for converting movement of the piston rod into movement of the indicator. A first detent is provided which is configured to releasably secure the indicator in the first indication position such that movement into the second indication position is allowed. A second detent is provided which is configured to secure the indicator in the second indication position such that movement into the first indication position is prevented.

A drive assembly comprises a housing, a drive member moveable for setting a dose and for delivering the dose. A piston rod adapted to be driven by the drive member in the distal direction during movement of the drive member in the distal direction for dose delivery and a restriction member for restricting proximal movement of the piston rod during proximal movement of the drive member by mechanical interaction of the restriction member with a stop feature. The restriction member and stop feature arranged for the piston rod to be moved proximally a first distance during a first movement of the drive member before the restriction member and stop feature interact mechanically. The first distance the piston rod moves proximally during the first movement of the drive member is different than a subsequent distance the piston rod moves during a subsequent proximal movement of the drive member.
