The sensor system comprises a plurality of magnetometers arranged non-rotational relative to the reference component and adapted to determine continuous magnetic field values from the plurality of dipole magnets, as well as processor means configured to determine on the basis of measured values from the plurality of magnetometers a rotational position and/or a rotational movement of the indicator element.
Injector apparatus having a clutch to inhibit forward movement of the plunger
An injector apparatus includes a housing (10.sup.1, 10.sup.2) for a cartridge or syringe, a plunger (40) for cooperating in use with the cartridge or syringe to express successive doses, a dose setting arrangement (16, 20) to select a dose volume, and a drive mechanism (22, 24) releasable to advance the plunger in respective predetermined increments of magnitude to express the successive doses. The drive mechanism includes a drive spring (22) for imparting movement directly or indirectly to the plunger (40), and the dose setting arrangement includes a dose setting element (16) moveable in a dose setting routine to define a magnitude of an increment of movement of the plunger for a given dose. The drive mechanism further includes a clutch arrangement (56) operable during the dose setting routine to inhibit forward movement of the plunger and/or to isolate the dose setting element from the force of the drive spring.

Pen Type Drug Injection Device with Absolute Angular Dose Encoder Mechanism
A drug delivery device comprising: a housing; a cylindrical member rotatably supported within the housing; and a plurality of sensors; wherein: the outer surface of the cylindrical member is provided with a single track, the track forming an encoder and having a plurality of first track segments and a plurality of second track segments arranged along the length of the track which are respectively capable of inducing first and second responses in the sensors; and in each rotational position of the cylindrical member relative to the housing at least one different first track segment is capable of inducing a first response in at least one said sensor, thereby enabling the rotational position of the cylindrical member relative to the housing to be determined.
A MEDICAMENT DELIVERY DEVICE
A medicament delivery device includes a housing configured to receive a container of medicament and a piston rod moveable within the housing and configured to engage a container of medicament when received within the housing. The medicament delivery device further includes a position-sensing mechanism configured to detect the position of the piston rod within the housing. The position-sensing mechanism includes a first light source configured to emit light, a first sensor disposed proximate the first light source and configured to receive light emitted by the first light source, and a blocking member moveable between the first light source and the first sensor. The first sensor is configured to detect the light pattern received to determine the position of the piston rod within the housing.
Injection Device
The present disclosure relates to an injection device for delivery of a liquid medicament including a housing, a cartridge having a tubular shaped barrel filled with a liquid medicament and sealed in a proximal direction by a piston displaceably arranged in the barrel, and a drive mechanism having a piston rod to advance in a distal direction against a proximally facing surface of the piston of the cartridge. The drive mechanism is configured to advance the piston rod in the distal direction by a distance z1 to dispense a reference volume V1 of the medicament when operably engaged with a reference cartridge having a reference diameter D1, and, the cartridge has a diameter D2 smaller than the reference diameter D1 to dispense a volume V2 of the medicament smaller than the reference volume V1 when the piston rod advances in distal direction by the distance z1.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR DELIVERING A SUBCUTANEOUS DOSE THROUGH MULTIPLE INJECTIONS
A method of administering subcutaneous treatment to a patient is provided. The method includes delivering, by a needle-free injection device, a first volume of a treatment at a first location on a surface of a body of the patient; detecting a movement of the needle-free injection device relative to the first location; determining, from the movement of the needle-free injection device relative to the first location, a second location of the needle-free injection device relative to the first location; determining a second volume of the treatment to deliver at the surface of the body of the patient at the second location; and delivering, by the needle-free injection device, the second volume of the treatment at the second location on the surface of the body of the patient.
High Precision Syringe with Removable Pump Unit
A digital syringe is used with conventional polymer disposable syringe construction to be practical in the medical environment. Errors associated with the larger volumes of the syringes (which exacerbate minor errors in plunger position) and the flexibility and dimensional variations of the polymer plungers are accommodated by direct measurement of the syringe plunger position rather than indirect measurement of motor position and inference of syringe plunger position. This direct measurement eliminates mechanical tolerances (stack up) in the motor, gear train, and lead screw on plunger movement, an effect exacerbated by flexibility of the plunger and changes in syringe resistance and medicament viscosity, for example, with different medicaments or when the syringe is refrigerated. The digital syringe may be combined with the motor unit to provide additional versatility.
